Story
Welcome Athena to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 2-year Great Pyrenees. She weighs about 90 pounds. She has a beautiful coat and the typical extra back toes commonly found in this breed. This is a guardian breed dog. They naturally will protect their flock or family. This breed will do best in a fully fenced yard as they will roam away if there is no fence. She is good with other dogs and will need some more leash work. She would be great with someone that knows the breed and loves it. She should have the natural tendencies of this breed. She had puppies and we adopted them out. We also adopted out the larger male that was found with her as a stray. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is up on her vaccines, healthy, spayed and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas anc can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Meet Lion L Ritchie, affectionately known as Linus! Looking for a furry friend who's equal parts playful and laid-back? Look no further than Linus, the delightful 2-year-old Pyrenees with a heart of gold and a personality to match! Linus may tip the scales at a sturdy 57 pounds, but don't let his size fool you-he's all about having fun and living life to the fullest! With his youthful energy and puppy-like exuberance, Linus is always up for a game of fetch or a romp in the park. His playful antics will keep you entertained for hours on end! But despite his love for adventure, Linus also knows how to kick back and relax like a pro. He's mastered the art of being chill, making him the perfect companion for lazy afternoons spent lounging around the house or cuddling up on the couch for a movie marathon. Linus is currently hard at work on his crate training, and with his intelligence and eager-to-please attitude, he's making excellent progress. With a little patience and consistency, he'll have it down pat in no time! One of Linus's most endearing qualities is his gentle and friendly nature. He gets along famously with other dogs and is especially fond of children, making him the ideal addition to families of all shapes and sizes. Linus prefers to have another dog in the household and will climb fences in order to have a friend to play with so it is a must! If you're ready to welcome a lovable and loyal companion into your life, look no further than Linus. Come meet this handsome pup today and discover the joy and warmth he brings to every moment. Adopt Linus, and get ready for a lifetime of wagging tails, wet kisses, and unforgettable memories

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Levi is a two year old neutered male great pyrenees from KY. He is a sweet soul. He came in emaciated at the end of September and has cutrently gained 10 pounds but needs to keep gaining. Our first priority was to get all the matts out of his coat. His coat is in poor condition, dry and brittle but is starting to improve. He will be a handsome guy when his coat grows out. Levi seems to have some hearing loss, sort of like an old dog would when he is asleep, he doesnt hear you but feels vibrations mostly but does appear to hear certain tones. He does have some hearing so not totally deaf. We have been teaching him some sogn language that he is responding to! **update** Levi continues to gain weight and muscle mass. He is able to run around and play with the other dogs. At this point it does not look like his arthritis will effect him much in the near future but will later in life. Keeping him thin, regular exercise and supplements are a must.***We suspected Levi has issues with his back legs and xrays confirmed he does have hip dysplasia as well as the start of arthritis in his knees. We have started him on supplements and an exercise program to build muscles in those back legs and get him strong and healthy. Despite his medical issues this is one great dog. We are hopeful someone will want to share their home with the sweetheart and he doesnt have to live in a kennel. Please visit our website for more pictures of this dog and info on our adoption process and application which is located on the left column under "forms & applications" :                            https://barkdogfarm.rescuegroups.org Before applying be sure you have thoroughly researched Great Pyrenees.  They can be stubborn, prone to barking, overly protective and cannot be off leash.  You WILL NOT train a pyr to boundaries.  Please be sure all family members are in agreement to adopting and your family is ready to bring dog home now. Applicants must be at least 21 years old. We do not have blanket criteria regarding adoptions. Each applicant is considered based on many things including but not limited to breed experience, yard ( visible fence preferred) and other animals in home. We try to avoid dogs with same sex households as pyrs typically do not do well with the same sex. A volunteer will be in touch to discuss your application and the dog to determine if it is a good match. Your vet and two references will be called.  A virtual home visit done. Once approved a meet and greet at the farm will take place.  If all are in agreement and the animal has received its NH health certificate an adoption contract will be signed and adoption fee paid.  Adoption fees for dogs are $450. for adults over 12 months, $550 for puppies 12 months and younger.  Fees for seniors, special needs or harder to place dogs will be determined by our Board of Directors. All dogs will be altered when adoption is finalized. This may involve young puppies be given until a certain age to be altered. All animals are up to date on age appropriate core vaccines, negative for parasites, heart worm and lyme tested if 6 months or older, microchipped and have a current health certificate.  Proof of a basic obedience course completed is part of our adoption contract within six months. Our descriptions are based on shelter evaluations, input from foster homes and interactions with our volunteers but are in no way a guarantee of temperment. We show animals by appointment only. This is usually done meet outdoors so please dress accordingly. Please email barkingdogfrm@gmail.com with any questions or to arrange a meet and greet.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 15, 2024, 10:19 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sadie is crate trained and house broken. She is a sweet little great pyrenees mix who weighs about 60 pounds. She appears to be dog friendly, and loves people once she gets use to them. She would love a quiet home. She is happy to snooze on a dog bed following her person from room to room. She will quietly lay down while you are preparing a meal or eating. Sadie loves to go for walks and does well on leash.I have found her to be flexible but she loves our walking and eating routine. Even if I have to shuffle exact time due to being away from home. She doesn't try to bolt out the door. She's very polite and waits. She likes to explore any new boxes or items. She likes her toys but loves to nap too. Sadie is very happy and loves attention. She likes being with her person and is such a great girl. She would really like to snuggle on the bed but if told her to get off and she complies. She likes relaxing on her dog lounge and the couches. Such a sweetheart She does have a bit of prey drive towards squirrels and chickens. Sadie had a litter of puppies at thebeginning of the year and is now ready to find her furever home.
