Story
Mojo is a fluffy little puppy with a big future ahead of him and absolutely no concerns about making new friends. He loves people, enjoys attention, and settles into new company with ease. While he may be slightly more independent than his brother, he is still an incredibly sweet, social puppy who is happy to be included in whatever is going on. He does well with other animals and is approaching the world with the confidence and curiosity you would expect from a young puppy. We do not know much about his history, but we are enjoying getting to know him and watching his personality develop. Mojo's best fit Mojo is looking for a family ready for all the adventures that come with raising a puppy. He will need continued training, guidance, and patience as he grows. Based on his size and build, we expect him to become a fairly large dog. He would do well in a home that can provide plenty of socialization, activity, and love while helping him grow into a confident adult companion.

Story
Jojo has never met a stranger and would prefer that everyone become his friend immediately. This fluffy little guy loves people and is happiest when he is getting attention or finding a way to be close to someone. His affectionate personality shines through right away, making him easy to fall in love with. Like his brother, Jojo does well with other animals and is still learning about the world around him. He is sweet, social, and eager to be part of whatever is happening nearby. We do not know much about his background, but we are excited to watch him continue growing and gaining confidence. Jojo's best fit: Jojo is looking for a family that is ready to embrace puppy life and all the learning that comes with it. He will benefit from training, structure, and continued socialization as he grows. We expect him to become a fairly large dog, so his future family should be prepared for a lot more fluff and personality in the months ahead. With the right guidance, Jojo has all the ingredients to become a wonderful lifelong companion.

Cloud

Great Pyrenees

Male, 13 yrs 2 mos
Ona, WV
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Not good with kids, Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Cloud is quite the character of an old man! He loves to be outside and to have lots of space to just exist in the outdoors. He really loves a good chew toy and can be cuddly when he wants to be. He can also be extremely grumpy when he is uncomfortable, and Cloud has a tough time adjusting to confined spaces. He is a Great Pyrenees whose personality is very typical of the breed. Cloud was born to guard livestock, so when he claims a space, he will defend it from anyone he does not trust. He is an old man, but he is not suitable for life as just a couch potato pet dog. The best kind of home for Cloud: Cloud came from farm life and would love to spend the rest of his days doing what he knows. The best home for Cloud will be with someone who has experience with livestock guardian breeds. He loves to be outside and would do well in an outdoor environment, but Cloud is not suitable for an apartment.

Kate

Great Pyrenees Boxer

Female, 5 yrs 3 mos
Ona, WV
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Not good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Kate is an outdoor girl at heart who is still learning what life as a companion dog can look like. New people can make her nervous, and she needs time to settle in and decide she feels safe. Once she does, her affectionate side comes through quickly. She becomes playful, loving, and full of personality, especially when toys are involved. She likes to toss them around and entertain herself, often turning a simple toy into a full activity. She came from a situation where she spent much of her time alone in a pen, so many parts of home life are still new to her. She seems to be generally kennel trained, does well with cats, and has been around dogs, though she prefers calmer companions and thoughtful introductions. Kate’s best fit: Kate would do best in a patient, lower-traffic home that can give her the slow introduction and consistency she needs to feel secure or in a farm situation where she can live outdoors. A quieter environment with calm animals and people who understand that trust takes time will help her continue building confidence. Once she feels comfortable, she forms strong bonds and shows a deeply affectionate, playful side that is worth the wait.

Story
Axton is a larger-than-life sweetheart wrapped in a giant cinnamon-roll body. He greets every day (and every human) with tail-wagging enthusiasm and an eagerness to soak up affection. This guy loves people. Whether he’s out in public charming strangers or hanging with volunteers, Axton radiates joy. He’s playful, food-motivated, and genuinely lights up when he’s around other dogs. Axton’s best fit Axton has spent more than two years at the shelter, so home life will feel brand new, and that’s OK! With time, decompression, and a patient routine, he will settle in beautifully. What he needs most is someone who understands that big transitions deserve gentle pacing and lots of reassurance. His ideal family will enjoy having a giant cuddle buddy who learns quickly once comfortable. Axton is fantastic with other dogs and would do best with older kids who can read his cues when he needs a breather.
