Story
This girl is one princess of fluff - she is shy at first in doggie playgroup but if the other dogs are gentle, she starts to bow and prance around to play. She dances and bounces like a bunny around the yard when she's comfortable. She is easily comforted by people and likes being near her foster family. Diamond loves being petted and brushed. She has a white/cream long coat with tan 'freckles' on her face. Diamond shows no signs of preferring being a 'working dog' and living with livestock outside. Instead, she finds her crate inside quickly and lays down to nibble her kibble one at a time. Diamond does not have leash experience, lays down and had to be carried to/from car and in Vet clinic. Car rides make her nervous, she did best in a crate for containment. Likely this girl had an isolated puppyhood in the rural county and not familiar with field trips; car rides and leashes. She is Quiet and does not growl or bark/whine when moved around. Guessed to be under 2 years old - just a teen! She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and on prevention (negative for heartworms). Housetrained, crate trained and part of a suburban foster home. FOSTERED IN TEXAS. *Adoption Fee ($550.00) includes transport options to PNW (WA, UT, ID), Midwest (MN, WI, MI, OH, IL, IN) or select New England States (NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT) by pet transport partners. Both dogs found as 'strays' with no microchips. Rescue does not complete DNA testing. Story
Meet Aurora Blu! 💙 Aurora Blu is a big, beautiful girl with an even bigger heart. Shelter life has been a little overwhelming for her, so she's feeling anxious right now, but once she knows she's safe, all she wants is love and attention from her people. She's wonderfully house-trained, walks nicely on a leash, and enjoys spending time by your side. While toys aren't really her thing, she does have a soft spot for chasing a ball every now and then! Aurora Blu has lived with other dogs and cats and can do well with both—but there's one very important rule: all meals, treats, and even human food need to be kept completely separate. She has shown food aggression around other animals, so she'll need to be fed separately and have her own space anytime food is involved. Outside of mealtimes, she's done well living with other pets. She's also great with kids and loves soaking up affection from everyone she meets. Aurora Blu is currently taking Fluoxetine to help manage her anxiety in the shelter. Her previous family had already begun weaning her off the medication and felt she would likely be able to continue doing so once settled into a stable home. For now, she's staying on it to help her cope with the stress of the shelter environment. If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion and can provide a little patience while she settles in, Aurora Blu will reward you with endless affection and unwavering friendship.

He was in a home with over 10 shih tzus, so he does not seem comfortable around other dogs. He is house trained and he is friendly. He is handsome and we really would like him to enjoy the rest of his life outside of this shelter. Please contact us if you can help find the right home for him! Visit us to meet him.
