Story
🌟 Meet Amara — 7 Years Young & Full of Love! 🌟 💕 Looking for a Forever Foster or Forever Home! 💕 Amara is a beautiful Great Pyrenees × Dane mix with a heart as big as her fluffy self! At 7 years young, she’s healthy, calm, and knows how to love deeply. 💗 This sweet girl lost her world when her beloved mom passed from cancer. Her dad is often on the road for work, so Amara has been without the consistent love she deserves — and it shows in her gentle, devoted heart. 😢🐶 ✨ Only Dog Needed! Amara prefers to be the queen of her castle — one-on-one love and attention is her jam. 👑 💞 She especially adores women and bonds quickly with kind, patient souls who understand her sensitivity and need for stability. 👩‍❤️‍👩 Amara is the definition of a loyal companion: calm, sweet, and ready to melt into your lap (or right beside you on the couch). 🛋️🐾 🌈 If you have room in your heart for a girl who gives all her love back — tenfold — Amara is waiting for you. 💫 📍 Learn more/apply: 🔗 https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/GAPS-A-29 💌 Could you be the one to give Amara her happily ever after? 🏡💖 #AdoptDontShop #GreatPyreneesMix #ForeverFosterNeeded #SecondChances #LoveForAmara 🐕✨

Story
AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION: Leia 🩷 📍 Fostered in: Westerville, OH 🐶 Good with dogs: Yes 🐈 Good with cats: Yes 👧 Good with kids: Yes 🏠 Housebroken: Yes 📦 Crate trained: Yes 🐾 Leash trained: Working on it! ⸻ Hi, I’m Leia 👋🏼 I am an estimated 6-8 year old large mixed breed in search of my final destination. My foster family DNA tested me and I am 50% Great Pyrenees, 20.1% Cane Corso, 19.6% American Pit Bull Terrier, and 10.3% American Bulldog. More importantly, I am 100% the best girl! My early days started with being kept crated 24/7, used for breeding and hardly cared for. Finally, my “family” abandoned me, which may have been the best gift possible. I was found as a stray and taken in as an emergency due to my condition. Between the help of many rescuers, I made my way to CO•PAW and have transformed into my absolute best self. From skin & bones to healthy & playful! I love sleeping on the couch, sometimes trying to scooch my way onto a lap if I’m allowed. I just learned how to play with my foster brothers and I love running in the yard with them, too. I love my food and treats! I am working on basic commands and definitely food motivated. I prefer to be fed away from other pets. After having been starved, I can get a wee bit protective of my foods. I REQUIRE... A fenced in yard or lots of walkies! If you have a flimsy fence, that might not work for me. If I see a deer or a rabbit, I want to try to get it. 👀 My foster mom had a weak spot in her fence, and I went on a bit of a walk about. Once that was fixed, I have been fine! ⸻ 🩺 Veterinary Care Provided All CO•PAW dogs are: ✔️ Spayed/Neutered ✔️ Microchipped ✔️ Heartworm tested (1+ year) ✔️ Given preventatives and initial vaccines If booster shots have not yet occurred, they may be completed for free at our Columbus, OH clinic—or at your own vet, at your expense. ⸻ 📝 Adoption Info •Must live in the State of Ohio •No transport available—adopters must travel for the meet & greet •Meet & greets are scheduled only after application approval •Please come prepared to take your new best friend home if it’s a match! Bring a collar, leash, harness, and crate for safe travel.
