Navy Wigglebutt's Story -Written by Navy Wigglebutt, a 5-month-old, 40lb male Great Pyrenees/Husky mix. 📍 Pickup Location: Skiatook, OK 📝 Adoption App: https://www.emailmeform.com/builder/form/hx000BP7nbQvjHX49Uur80FV3 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- I have never had a home before. Kind of crazy right? I have been around for almost half a year and have never truly had a place to call my own. Heck, I didn't even have a name up until a few months ago. How is that even possible you ask? Well, I was part of yet another unwanted litter in Oklahoma. My owners didn't want me or my siblings and figured the best way to get rid of us, was to dump us somewhere. We ended up being picked up and entered the shelter program. We served our stray hold uneventfully and then they transferred us to PPFT. We ended up landing in a pretty awesome foster home, so that is really nice. It just doesn't give that same feeling though that a forever home would. Can you imagine the feeling of security that comes with having a family? The feeling that they will be as loyal to you as you are to them? That they will love you forever and ever, no matter what? That you will always have a place by their side through thick and thin? At least, that is what I have heard that a forever family should be. I have yet to experience it but I sure hope my new family will be all that and more! Now, I am sure you are curious about my name...and if you didn't catch it above...my name is Navy Wigglebutt. I am part of the "Bean" litter and we thought adding Wigglebutt to the end of it would be quite fun. Plus, it is very true. I am quite the little wigglebutt. I love making new friends. It doesn't matter if they are kids, cats, or other dogs. I am a social butterfly through and through and always make the best impressions....or so I am told! I am eager to please and I just know that with some more guidance and training...you will soon have a pup on your hands that even your grandma will be doting over! Trust me, I just know that given the chance...I am going to steal the hearts of everyone I meet! It also helps that I have an amazing personality. I don't mean to toot my own horn or anything, but I am a pretty awesome pup. I will always be up for joining you on your adventures. Walks? Absolutely, as long as you don't mind continuing Count me in! I think it would be so cool to explore new places and scents. Public Places? Ummm...when can we start? What could be better than a walk and getting to make new friends all wrapped into one fun trip?! And if you prefer using the car to get you somewhere, no worries! I may not be big enough to get in on my own yet, but I am working on it...trust me! And once in, I will happily plop down in the backseat and just chill until it is time to get up and go again! This is probably the time to mention that while all the above would be awesome, it is not a necessity for me. I would be perfectly content living a more laid-back lifestyle at the house if my family had a big yard for me to romp around and play in. The real icing on the cake would be if they had other dogs and/or kids for me to play with! Heck, I can already imagine my family and I on a hot summer day, in the yard with the kids playing in the hose water and me joining in and running around with them in the water just having an amazing and wholesome time together. I really love to have fun and can easily keep up with my family, but I am also really good about chilling out and just hanging out with my people inside. I just know I would make an amazing homework buddy, a wonderful and cuddly friend to snuggle up to each night, and someone you can sneak your broccoli to under the table. Well, I haven't actually had broccoli yet but it can't be THAT bad right?! If I were to take a gander, I would think that you are really drawn to me at this point....as you should be(and I mean that in the least egotistical way possible). I am sure the biggest thing going around in your head right now is...how big will I be full grown? Well, I would love to answer that for you...but I just don't know. I know I know...you want me to give my best guess....it doesn't have to be exact but at least a ballpark range. That kinda sucks considering I am not even into fetch, I mean what good are balls if you always have to chase after them?! Back on track though, if I were to guess I think that I am going to be around 80lbs once fully grown. So, if that ends up being the case...there are a few things you should know. First, personal space will no longer be a thing. I won't allow it to be. If I want cuddles, you can bet I am going to still claim that spot in your lap. We can call it extreme cuddling...if you will! Second, I will soon realize that my body has become the prime blocking tool in getting you to stop mid-walk and give me some ear rubs before having to finagle(am I spelling this right...this is such a weird word but it sure is fun to say) your way around me. Lastly, a fur-free home will be a thing of the past. No longer will you have to worry about bare floors or plain clothes. You will soon have a house full of my glorious fur letting you know that my big ole fluffy self is always there for you! Apartment dwellers, how I would love to say we are a good match but alas I am looking for a home where I can stretch my legs, overlook my yard, and just get to enjoy the great outdoors. For my house dwellers...you are in for a treat! I am already potty trained... can we just take a minute to appreciate that you will be adopting a PUPPY that is already potty trained? Now, that doesn't mean you can go crazy and not let me out for like 6-8hrs +, I am good but I am not THAT good. ;) I am also kennel trained so while I believe I can soon earn my free-roam the house badge when you are gone, you can trust that I will be okay in my kennel until that time comes. Let's just not overdo it though okay? For those that have a doggie door, I am a pro at using one so no training is necessary on that front! Well..this is it folks. The moment I have been waiting for...are you going to be my forever? Are you going to make me yours and fill out an application for me at https://www.emailmeform.com/builder/form/hx000BP7nbQvjHX49Uur80FV3 *Please say yes, please say yes, please say yes* Once your application comes on, PPFT will send over more details about me and forward your app to my foster family for review. If everything still sounds like a match, PPFT will finish getting you all approved so you can meet and welcome me home!

Story
Greetings, potential paw-rents! I’m Lady Elinor, a 2-year-old, 70-pound Great Pyrenees mix who’s here to teach you the art of relaxation. I was surrendered to PPFT because my previous owner had too many animals to care for and needed to rehome a few of us. It wasn’t an easy decision, but that is life for you. I’m now ready to bring my calm, fluffy presence to a new home where I can really shine. Life with me is a bit like having a majestic, fluffy cloud drift into your home. I’m the kind of lady who doesn’t demand constant excitement. While I’ll politely tolerate other dogs and might even share a soft bed if you insist, my preference is to enjoy my people’s company in a calm and serene environment. I’m a big fan of kids, though, if you have them, I’ll happily accept their pets and adoring gazes. Let’s talk about a few things you should know about living with a Great Pyrenees. I might seem like I’m ignoring you sometimes, but don’t worry—it’s just my long-term marriage face. And while my bark is more of a rare occurrence, when I do decide to make noise, it’s usually to let you know the neighbor squirrel is plotting world domination. I’m like a walking cloud of fluff—an ever-present reminder of the joys (and occasional challenges) of Great Pyrenees life. Expect a daily sprinkle of fluff wherever I go; think of it as my way of leaving a little bit of me with you. My shedding might rival a small snowstorm, so be prepared for a bit of extra vacuuming and brushing. I also have a charming tendency to assume that every room is my personal kingdom, so don’t be surprised if you find me lounging like royalty in the most unexpected places. Oh, and those times when I stare intently at you while you eat? It’s not begging; it’s my way of reminding you that I’m always here for a pat or two. When it comes to new experiences, I’m a bit of an old soul. I might need a little help getting into the car, but once I’m there, I’ll chill out like a pro. I’m not one for high-energy activities or hiking; my idea of a perfect day involves lounging around and soaking up some affection. I’m more of a homebody who enjoys the quiet life, but with a little warmth, I’d be delighted to join you on your adventures—especially if they involve a soft bed or a cozy spot on the couch. Though I might not be the best at fetch or a huge fan of toys, I do have a soft spot for bones. If you’re worried about the mess, rest easy—I’m potty trained, and I promise not to chew on anything that’s not meant for me. I’m also very well-mannered and don’t jump on people, preferring instead to greet you with a gentle tail wag and a request for some loving pats. If you’re ready to embrace a life of relaxation and fluff with a touch of fluffy grandeur, I might just be your perfect match. I promise to be the best cuddle buddy you’ve ever had, with a side of whimsical fluff to make every day a little brighter. Your couch (and heart) will never be the same again! 📍 Pickup Location: Oklahoma City, OK 📝 Adoption App: https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app

Story
Why did you leave me? Did you know that I waited for you? Did you know that I stayed in the same spot that you abandoned me in for THREE days? All I ever wanted was your love. No matter what you did to me, you were my person and I loved you. I had no idea what was happening when you loaded me up in the car and started driving. I tried to be brave though because you were there...and that meant that everything was going to be okay. It was strange to me when we stopped in the middle of nowhere and you took me out of the car. I was curious about all the different smells and tried to stay close...but I guess I didn't stay close enough because suddenly you were hopping back in the car and driving off. I tried to follow...I really did. My legs were too small though, my body was too weak. You had been forgetting to feed me for quite some time but that was okay. You had been letting me get eaten alive by parasites...so much so my fur started to fall out. But it wasn't your fault. Life gets busy. It must have been my fault when you left. Maybe I did something wrong? Maybe had I tried harder to chase after you I would have caught you. Surely, you would come back for me though. So, I waited. I went back to the spot you left me and stayed there. I had no street smarts so I didn't eat and I didn't leave. I just waited for you to come back for me...but you never did. With each day that passed, I felt myself withering away, and it was only because of a good samaritan that I was plucked off the streets and things changed for me. Now, I have found my way to PPFT and a loving foster home. I was diagnosed with mange and a bacterial infection. On top of that, I was severely emaciated and had already started to lose my fur. I am 5 months old and because of you all I have ever known is pain, starvation, and abandonment. Things are turning around for me. I can feel it in my paws. My foster family is helping me heal. With them...I can be myself. I can truly be a puppy and every day that goes by I start to feel better. I can honestly say that I got the short end of the stick in my previous life, but I am not going to let that define me. The time has come to step into a life overflowing with love and boundless possibilities. I have been given a second chance, and I intend to seize it with all my heart. My name is Kalyn, and this may be where my story began but it is not where it will end. I am a 5-month-old, 22lb female Great Pyrenees mix with legs so long they make me look like I’ve got a little giraffe in my DNA. Given my looks and long legs, you might think that I have a touch of Anatolian Shepherd in me as well. However, I am sure you didn't overlook my ears. Let me tell you, my ears are my claim to fame. With these beauties, I can hear every little sound and give you the most expressive looks that say, “Did you really just try to sneak a snack without me?” So, maybe I have some German Shepherd hiding in me as well. I know what you are thinking...if I am part Pyr, part Giraffe, part Anatolian, and part German Shepherd, I am going to be huuuuuge. But I am going to have to stop you right there. I am only 22lbs right now at 5 months of age. Yes, part of it could be due to being so malnourished during my puppyhood but as of right now....I don't see myself getting bigger than maybe 60-ish pounds? So sure, I’ve got legs and ears for days, but don’t worry about me turning your house into a dog-sized obstacle course. With my calm demeanor and a preference for cozy spots, I’m more likely to blend in than bowl you over. Plus, I’ve got those adorable, floppy ears to distract you from any concerns about space. Trust me, I’m big on love, not on taking over the place! I’m what you might call a “calm connoisseur” – I love to lounge, preferably in a cozy chair I’ve recently claimed as my very own puppy throne. Now, don’t get me wrong, I do have my playful moments, bouncing around on my long legs like a little filly, but I’m really more of a chill girl who enjoys the quieter side of things. So, don’t expect me to turn into a marathon runner anytime soon....or ever. ;) I’m more of a “Netflix and cuddle” type, with maybe the occasional stroll around the block. I’m great with other dogs, friendly as can be, but I’d be just as happy being your one and only fluffy sidekick. Cats? Well, they’re curious little creatures, aren’t they? I haven’t quite figured them out yet, but I’m open to negotiations. And kids? While I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting any yet, I’ve got a feeling I’d be the perfect gentle giant around them. I may need a little boost to get into the car (those legs of mine haven’t quite figured out the whole jumping thing yet). Once in, let's just say I have some pretty bad flashbacks and get worried that I am going to be left behind again and tend to get queasy rather quickly. I am hoping this is something my new family is prepared to work with me on though, because while my scars aren't visible...they are still there and will take time to heal. When it comes to leashes, well, let’s just say I prefer to take my walks at my own pace… like, really, really slowly. Hiking? I might be convinced, but only if it involves a lot of stopping to smell the roses – or anything else that catches my interest. Toys are my jam, though! I might not fetch them back, but I sure do love giving them a good chew. I’m still figuring out this whole potty training thing, and the idea of a kennel isn’t exactly my cup of tea, but I’m learning – promise! And I’m pretty trustworthy around the house… for a puppy, anyway. I’m not much of a barker, and I haven’t shown much interest in digging or any of those other shenanigans that some pups get into. Really, I’m just looking for a calm, loving home where I can blossom into the best dog ever. I really need someone who wants a chill family dog with a playful side. Someone that can give me forever, I don't want to be an "until dog". I have been there before and I just can't have my heart break like that again. If you feel like you are the family for me, please fill out an adoption app for me at https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app The reason I am asking you to fill out this app is because I need this rescue to help me find the PYRfect family. I am excited to find my forever home, but I also don't want to fall for someone's sweet promises. They need to be all in! 😉 I am being fostered in Sand Springs, OK. I am asking that my new family pick me up. I don't want to go on a long transport with strangers. I want to ride home with you...my new family. As long as you’re willing to be my forever, I’d happily travel to the other side of the country with you—just make sure we pack extra towels, because I might, uh, leave a little souvenir in the back seat. Road trips are all fun and games until someone forgets the Dramamine!
