Story
Meet cuddly Mario. He is a brown, dusted with black, and white Great Pyrenees mix born 12/25/2022. He is going to be big! He is up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and has been given a ProHeart 6 for heartworm protection. His adoption donation is $450.00 and the transport fee $165.00. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application, please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Delilah, a beautiful Great Pyrenees Mama of 12 that is now ready to find a family of her own.  She requires a family that is willing to be patient with her.  She is very shy and takes a time to warm up.  She is not a fan of men. but loves children.  Because of her breed she does require a fence in yard.    She loves playing with other dogs, lying on the couch, toys, snuggles and giving and getting love from her Foster Mom and children.  She will need a home willing to continue patiently sharing these with her as she came to us as a very timid Mama of 12.  She loves the colder weather, snow and being outside.  She is not super active as is the Pyrenees nature, but time outside especially in the cooler weather makes her very happy.  Once she fills out she will be about 85lbs.  She is in love with her Foster's 4 yr old daughter and will do well with kids that are gentle and understand that she needs them to quiet and respectful of her.  She will thrive in the right environment and be an awesome addition to the family. She is HW positive and has one more treatment to go.  Her treatment will be explained in depth to all potential adopters and is paid for by Homeward Bound as long as she is taken to our Vet in Dillsburg, PA.   If you have an approved application and are interested in more information or possibly adopting Delilah, please reach out to her Foster Mom at thatsme963@aol.com Applications can be completed on our website:  HTTPS://homewardbound2u.rescuegroups.org Homeward Bound Animal Rescue is licensed and inspected by the PA Dept of Dog Law. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please say hello to Beth! Beth is a Bernese Mountain Dog/ Husky Mix. She was born December 7, 2018. Prior to coming into rescue she lived her life in a small kennel inside of a barn, breeding puppies over and over. She had no name, they called her 'Dog.' Beth is learning a whole new life outside of the farm. She is playful but will need time to open up. She is scared of new things and has only lived in a barn stall her whole life. She loves being outside so will require a fenced in yard and a home with older children. Beth loves playing with other dogs so a home with another dog would be fine. But she can be an only dog. She loves playing with stuffies and will lay with them. She has never lived in a home so it will all be new. She will need patience from adopter so she can trust them. Beth will be a committed companion. Once Beth is comfortable she is good with anyone. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. If you would like to to welcome sweet Beth into your family, please apply at www.onedogatatime.us When applying to adopt through ODAAT, please know that we take pride in placing our animals appropriately based on their needs and personality. We want the best family for them and the perfect fit for your family. All applications are ran prior to choosing an adopter.. This process takes time and we do not adopt out on a 'first come first served' basis. Applications are found on our website www.onedogatatime.us.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 23, 2024, 9:45 pm
