Active home for higher energy dog MEET CHASE!!! Chase is a 1-year-old boy who warms up super quick, and will be your best friend! Chase likes his people, but loves other dogs even more and would LOVE nothing more than to have another buddy to play with; In fact, he will need another playful dog in the home as a buddy. He is very submissive but will bow-play and instigate "zoomies" with the other dogs in the home to get them to play with him. The more playful the other dog the better! He's great with kids and truly loves them-- he is currently in foster with a 7-year-old boy whom he follows everywhere. Chase does like water, and a pool would be a huge plus, especially if it has a baja-step to get in and cool his feet and belly. He is also a great swimmer! Chase loves to give kisses and have his belly rubbed. He is kennel-trained and is housebroken, and is a doggy door pro! Chase has learned all his basic obedience commands along with a couple of others!; He is super smart and treat motivated, he would love someone to continue teaching him additional training commands and tricks. Chase is an easy leash walker and an even better car rider. He can take advantage of an open door, though, so he would not do well in a home where there are toddlers or young kids who may be apt to accidentally open a front door. (He is not, however, prone to be a 'bolter' and doesn't go much further than the front door) Chase LOVES the dog park, the more dogs to run with the better! But as is common to the breed, it is in short spurts of energy. He runs hard for about 20 minutes, and then he's done for a few hours. Chase does get very attached to his people, and will do best in an active home who is home a good deal of the time. He will not do well in a home where his owner is gone/works long hours away.
