Ophelia is a Greek name meaning “help” or “aid”. This sweet slightly senior gal would love to help aid you on your quest to find a new best friend! Here’s what we learned during a two-week foster stay:- She’s a quiet houseguest and was well- behaved when left alone- She did well with a resident small dog- She is house trained- She loves tennis balls and stuffed animals- She LOVES going on walks- She is friendly, sweet, loyal and a belly rub queen! Here’s what one volunteers at the shelter have said:“Ophelia is a sweet frosty faced lady who can be a bit barky in her kennel but is all talk. She was easy to leash up and very eager to get outside for some fresh air. She enjoyed sniffing around and exploring the play yard and was happy to accept pets and affection from me. She’s a spunky gal who enjoyed some zoomies. She knows sit and takes treats politely and she loves to lean into you for scratches and rub against you like a cat. Super receptive to attention and loves interact. A happy and sweet senior citizen!!”“Ophelia was barky in the kennel but once out in the yard she is a big love bug. She did not leave my side for the whole time and wanted to be pet and wanted attention.”Ophelia shares her kennel with another PACC pup and has been tolerant and independent when meeting other dogs in playgroup. Jinx is a bat- eared baby who is a typical, playful puppy. This little lady is all play and no business whatsoever! She’s friendly, affectionate, wiggly, and fun- a great companion for an active family looking for an adventure buddy!Jinx was found as a stray and stayed with her finder for several days before heading to PACC. Her finder said that she is GREAT with people, did well with a male dog in the home, and is very sweet and loves cuddles. During a brief foster stay Jinx was reportedly housetrained, enjoyed sleeping on the couch, and loved playing fetch and tug o’ war. She was described as friendly and intelligent and reportedly loves playing and napping equally. A typical puppy! “It`s difficult to really express how loving and kind Jinx is. She truly is one of a kind and just wants to lay around with her humans. She`s very receptive to learning and training and is goofy and clumsy.”Jinx shares her kennel with another PACC pup and has been playful and tolerant when meeting other dogs in playgroup. She is incredibly athletic and can jump higher than an Olympic athlete, so needs a secure yard and a family who will keep an eye on her when outdoors. Ask to meet Jinx today!!

Story
Jasper loves his people and shows them affection by wanting to be hugged and by giving kisses. He craves affection and becomes a lapdog if we sit to watch television. Jasper is smart; when we adopted him from PACC he could “sit” and shake hands. He has learned not to pull on the leash (most times while walking). He’s learned to sleep in his crate (and not on our bed). He does not want the crate door closed though. He has a soft mouth and chews very gently when taking a treat or even meat from out hand. Jasper has a beautiful brindle coat and a long tail that curls 360 degrees.Jasper had a severe confinement phobia when we leave but this problem was recently mitigated by installing a doggie door.He takes Fluoxeltine (Prosac) as prescribed by his veterinarian for anxiety. We have been unsuccessful in training him not to violently pull and bark at other dogs or humans as we pass. My wife can’t walk him by herself because of that problem.He’s a fantastic personality, but needs the right hm
