ADOPTION PENDING--Yogi arrived from Ireland on Oct. 8th. He has been chosen for our prison training program. When he graduates in December, he will know all of his basic commands. He is a beautiful boy as you can see from his photo. He gets along well with other medium to large breed dogs, but we would suggest a slow introduction to small dogs, as Yogi has not met them yet. Yogi would be happy as an only dog as he does not seem interested in other dogs. He loves people though (they have the treats). Yogi is stoic and easy going, not a lot phases him and he seems to take the world in stride. Currently, Yogi is somewhat strong on the lead but that should not be a problem as he will be taught to heel properly at the prison. ADOPTION PENDING--Simone arrived from Ireland on Oct. 8th. She has been chosen for the Greyhound Advancement Center's prison training program. When she graduates in December, Simone will know all of her basic commands. She is a gentle and sweet girl and has calmness and poise Simone is somewhat shy, but if you are quiet around her, she does fine. She is reserved but not nervous or anxious, and already walks well on a leash. She is only 56 lbs., so is a small greyhound. Simone gets along well with other dogs, especially other greyhounds. She is happiest lying on her bed rather than playing. She takes retirement seriously and her devotion to the lounge is truly admirable! Her ideal home would be a quiet one filled with company, love, treats (of course) and many places to snooze. ADOPTION PENDING-Lizzie will arrive from Ireland on December 10th She has been retired for some time, but her owner had to move and could not bring Lizzie along. Her registered name is Miss Elizabeth. She is great in every way. She likes to collect everything she can get into her bed (toys, pillows, blankets, etc.) If you are missing something from around the house, Lizzie has probably confiscated it. Lizzie gets along well with other dogs and would be good in just about any environment. Lizzie has been chosen for the Greyhound Advancement Center's prison training program, so when she graduates around the end of January, she will know all of her basic commands. ADOPTION PENDING! Lucy arrived from Ireland on Oct. 8th. She has been chosen for the prison training program so she will know al of her basic commands when she graduates. Lucy is super friendly and a happy girl with a fabulous personality. She loves walks around the neighborhood and is always on the lookout for someone new to meet. New experiences do not phase her and she loves being part of the action. She loves children and getting cuddles and is a bundle of fun. She is good with other dogs of any size. She even took part in a local dog show recently. Since she is energetic, a fenced yard or the ability to take her to a dog park a few times a week would be ideal for Lucy. She walks beautifully on a leash and loves to travel in the car. We think with her outgoing personality she would make a great therapy dog. We even took her to a rehab facility recently and she did great. Lucy needs to go to a no cat home, as she is not good with cats. She is one dog who is beautiful inside and out! She is polite, gentle, and a loving lady who is fantastic on the lead. She is confident and happy and should do very well in the prison, She is great with children and adores them. She would be a great addition to the Paws for Reading program at your local school. She is very good with other breeds and loves to go with you wherever you go. Tara is super sweet and a really nice, easy going dog. During his racing career, he competed in 23 races and won 4 times. His registered name is Scampie Barry.
