Luigi is a handsome 4.5 year old male brindle (maybe some kind of Greyhound mix) weighing around 45 lbs. He has the cutest nub tail that he loves to wiggle! This dog is fast! He LOVES to chase toys in the yard and he is full of fun energy. He will sit for a treat and takes it gently. Luigi is super friendly with people but will need to be the only animal in the home and with no small kids. Luigi completed a 10-week training program through the Greyhound Advancement Center. He was partnered with an inmate and learned basic and intermediate obedience. Luigi is eager to continue his training! Take this fun pup out to play at our shelter and get to know him, he's a great dog! **Luigi's Adoption Fee is SPONSORED!**

I’ve had sophie since she’s been 7 months. She’s a very loving and affectionate dog. She loves exploring and trying new things. She’s very intelligent as well. She’s going to be 9 years this year. She used to have a lot of energy but i would say she’s calmed down a bit. Her flaws are that from time to time she does escape, but i would say that’s my fault for not taking her out on her walks or travels as much. She also does get to your food if you leave it around her. Other than that, she’s great. She is from the shelter so i don’t know her exact breed. Always assumed greyhound mix, she carries a lot of those traits. She does also have an eye condition so healthy food is needed, nothing fatty or unhealthy. Sadly, i’m having to move and can’t bring her with me.

ADOPTIPN PENDING.--Declan arrived from Ireland on April 22nd. He is gentle, lovable, friendly and laid back. He takes everything in stride and walks very well on the leash. He loves meeting people and adores cuddles. He grew up in the company of a little boy so he is already gentle and kind with children. Romeo has met other breeds out walking, including small dogs. He is happy to interact with small breeds and is a lovely, gentle character who will fit in well in almost any home. All he wants is human company/; Declan is a wonderful, sweet boy to be so young. He can whine sometimes when left alone, so someone who works from home or is retired person would be ideal. He has been chosen for our training program at Central Florida Reception Center, so when he graduates, he will know al of his basic commands (sit, down, heel, come when called, wait, stay, etc.). for more information, please check our website, www.bayareagreyhounds.org, look under Prison Trained greyhounds. AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION--Una arrived from Ireland on April 22nd. She is a loving, quiet and gentle girl. She loves being groomed and is great for nail trims. She is already house trained and is very friendly. Una gets along great with children and does well with dogs of all sizes. She loves being petted and is a sweet, and easy going girl who loves squeaky toys. She also loves to collect things (shoes, blankets,) but doesn't tear them up--just snuggles with them. Una may have Pannus in her eyes and may need eye drops throughout her life to manage it. However, we are trying to wean her off of the eye drops, and she is only getting them every couple of days. now. At any rate, Pannus is an easy to manage disease and dogs with pannus live long, healthy lives when they are medicated. Una is a very adaptable girl who will be sited to a wide variety of homes. Unflappable and chilled, Una would love a forever home where she could get cuddles and lots of love. Una has been chosen for our prison training program, where she will be taught all of her basic commands (heel, sit, lie down, stay, wait, leave it, etc.) Una is at Hardee Correctional Institution for this training.. AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION---Salah is a sweet boy who is definitely laid back and easy going. If you are looking for a quiet and sweet dog, you would love Salah. We believe he would do best in a home as an only dog, preferably with an experienced adopter.. He recently graduated from the prison training program at Central Florida Reception Center, so he knows all of his basic commands. Salah was chosen at Top Dog in his training class! His racing name was Athlacca Salah. He raced in Ireland in 24 races, winning 6 times, so he was a successful racer. If you are looking for a dog who is good with small dogs and is sweet, friendly, and quiet, Salah is the one for you. He also walks beautifully on a leash.
