We don`t know much about Jethro`s history but we love what we see since we`ve met. He`s a very sweet, easy going guy and one of just a few `green dot` super easy leash walkers. Jethro loves walks and he`s not overly driven by his nose like many hounds might be. He doesn`t even get fazed by a squirrel standing a few feet away. He stays close to his person. He manages ramps and stairs as expected.He loves to receive gentle affections and a few treats too, but he`s not an attention seeker either.Jethro is a very nice blend of easy and comfortable canine companionship. He`s heart worm negative and neutered and ready to leave right away.If you have another resident dog at home though, ask for a meet and greet to be scheduled at the shelter.Jethro is advocated by his new shelter family and friends including ClassicCaninesATX who are helping make land bridges home for displaced mature pets that landed in the shelter due to life`s hardships.

Terra Nova, a delightful and affectionate pup, is ready to bring joy and love into your home as a companion. With her gentle nature and playful spirit, Terra Nova is sure to capture your heart. While Terra Nova doesn't currently live with other dogs, she has interacted well with children of various ages, showing extreme gentleness with our 3 and 7-year-olds. She doesn't jump up on them and enjoys their company. When left alone, Terra Nova stays in her crate, showing only brief signs of whimpering before settling down for a nap. She's fully house-trained, with no accidents reported so far. Terra Nova is a well-adjusted and loving pup. She's getting comfortable with her crate and shows good leash manners, although she may pull slightly due to excitement in new surroundings. Terra Nova knows basic obedience commands like sit, although she's still learning to focus, typical of her puppy age. She's polite and respectful, enjoying human affection, especially belly rubs, without jumping up. Curious and welcoming to new people, Terra Nova's sweet and playful nature makes her easy to connect with. She enjoys running around in the backyard and playing with chew toys, although she may not always bring a ball back when playing fetch. With her easy-going personality and loving demeanor, Terra Nova is sure to become a cherished member of her forever family. We think Byron is 11 years old. He belonged to a former Hound Rescue Board member who recently had to go into assisted living. He gets along very well with other dogs, loves people and is super playful for an 11 year old pup. He has the BEST bay and will do well in a home (not an apartment). He was recently diagnosed with Cushings disease which can be managed with medication.
