Story
Introducing Ginger, our adorable foster puppy who’s on the lookout for her forever home! At just 6 months old and less than 9 pounds, this little sweetheart is full of love and personality. Ginger is doing great with potty training and is starting to get used to her crate. However, her favorite spots are snuggled up in your lap while you’re sitting or cozying up in bed with you at night. She absolutely adores snuggling, especially with her buddy Coral! This playful pup gets along wonderfully with other dogs and loves to join the fun when kids are playing. Ginger is an eager learner who is excited to bond with her humans. With no small dog attitude to speak of, she’s gentle and affectionate, always seeking your attention with her sweet gaze. Even though she’s a bit on the smaller side, Ginger is confident and prefers to stick close to her people rather than venture off on her own. She’s not nippy at all—just a lighthearted, loving companion who brings joy wherever she goes. If you’re looking for a loving addition to your family, Ginger might be the perfect match for you!

Story
This is my beautiful angel named Nova. We've been together for 8 years and it is with a heavy heart that I have to make the decision to rehome her due to a series of unfortunate circumstances. She is a female, weighs 40 los, and is 8 years old. Nova is an energetic soul that loves to play, go on long hourly walks, jump around on humans and be cuddly with them, is food driven when it comes to obedience, and overall just enjoys being a shoulder to cry on and a buddy to cuddle at night. She was adopted by my sister from a rescue shelter before she passed her down to me in 2018, and Nova and I have grown so close together. Some of her opposite traits are that she loves being chaotic, but she can bark a little too much when it comes to looking at any animal outside the windows, she will stare at you if you eat in front of her and will eat the food if you leave it unattended, she loves to rough house and play fight but she can do it at random occasions and will bark when she wants something.

Story
If you are looking for a friend to join you on your adventures, look no further than this charming girl, Punkin. She is just a baby, but you can already see that she is up for fun and action. She loves playing with her brother and sister. In foster care, they had an interesting birth. Their momma went under a shed to give birth and refused to bring them out - until a rainy downpour came and their foster mom rescued all of them from flooding, moving them into the house. Now, her siblings follow her around just to see what fun she is going to discover. She also loves finding a favorite toy, getting in a soft bed, and giving the toy a good chew. She is a pretty little thing with a soft coat. Her special talent is getting and giving kisses. The little sweetie is happy and healthy, and she has a lovely, balanced personality. She is very loving and enjoys being cuddled. She is learning about potty training, and she sleeps well in her crate at night. In a previous home, she had fun with 2- and 5-year-old children. This lovable little girl is a prize and is going to make someone the best "Good Girl" ever. Come meet this charming doll today!

Story
Meet Twilight! Twilight and Ladybug are adorable and easy going basset hound mixes who lost their home due to the devastating flooding in Kerrville. Ladybug (tricolor) is around 6 years old and 24 lbs. Twilight is around 3 years old and 27 lbs. We believe they may be a mother and daughter duo. The girls have been settling into their foster home for several weeks and are doing amazing! Their foster reports that they are potty trained, incredibly sweet, and easy going houseguests. When the foster leaves, the girls do great uncrated. The girls rarely bark and overall are just a joy to have in your home. After evaluating them for a few weeks, we have decided the best option is for these girls to be adopted together as they are a bonded pair. We think when you see these two tiny nuggets together you will agree that there is always room for two more in your home and heart. The girls are in good health, except that Ladybug is heartworm positive. The rescue will cover all expenses related to her heartworm treatment even after she is adopted. Many of our dogs at the rescue go through heartworm treatment, and we are happy to answer questions. These girls have been through so much. Yet, you would never know it. They are both the happiest girls and deserve the happiest of futures.

Story
Available in TX only! King is a one year old Basset Hound/Lab mix with a gentle soul and a laid back nature. He is still gaining confidence and can be scared of new things, especially loud noises, but once he feels safe he settles in nicely. When he gets excited he can be a little jumpy, though most of the time he is calm and easygoing. King truly enjoys running around the yard, going on walks, and soaking up outdoor time. He has a playful side and loves playing fetch with frisbees and balls. Tug of war is another favorite game, and he is a big fan of chew time. Knuckle bones, hard chew toys for power chewers, and anything he can safely gnaw on make him very happy. King is crate trained and house trained, which makes him an easy addition to a home. King does have a prey drive and enjoys chasing squirrels and frogs, and he will chase cats, so a cat free home is recommended. He also has a sensitive stomach and does best on sensitive stomach dog food, as treats like milk bones do not agree with him. King would thrive in a patient, understanding home that will give him time to build confidence and continue showing him the world is a safe place. With love and consistency, he will be a loyal and loving companion To apply directly for King, push the "Apply for Adoption" button. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-751 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. This benefit includes free access to Petcademy’s team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle your new family member into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours (Monday-Friday).
