Story
Hi, Ernie Ford here, a 6 year old beagle boy from Tennessee! I got to come to Arizona on a plane! A BIG plane (thank you SWATT Transport and Southwest Airlines)! I got to ride under the seat next to a really nice person who then delivered me to Arizona Beagle Rescue. I didn't know what else to say about myself, but here's what my foster mom has to say about me:Ernie loves cuddles and food. So far, he loves every person he has met. He is pretty submissive with other dogs. Cuddles up with my beagle. Crate training is a work in progress (currently on restricted activity for a low level heartworm treatment) but he is getting used to it. Keeping him calm has been a bit of a challenge, but we are getting there. He used the dog door, but we stay out there with him to make sure he goes before getting back in the crate. He doesn't have very good boundaries at times. He will try to eat your food and gets on the end tables. He likes to chew especially socks. He is good in the car and is just an overall happy boy!So, what do you think? Might I fit in well at your house? Luv,Ernie

Story
Hi, I'm Alice! I am a senior beagle that found myself at the animal shelter. Nice friends from Arizona Beagle Rescue scooped me up, got me to the vet, now I'm back to taking my medicine (I'm a diabetic, you see, but tolerate my shots very well!). I am very happy with my foster mom and doggie siblings, but I am still looking for a home of my own. Do you think you might be that home?Luv,Alice

Story
Filburt is a sweet 7-year-old, 30-pound Beagle mix with a gentle demeanor that will win you over right away. Filburt can be shy at first, but after you approach him with some slow pets, he warms up and enjoys human affection. Like any aging pup, Filburt enjoys the simple things in life. One of his favorite things to do is go on car rides, and if he sees something interesting he is known to bay like the true Beagle he is. He is nervous going into new places and is looking for a family who is ready to go at his pace as he settles into his new home. Good news, he did well in his cat test and seems to not be bothered by other dogs. As a Guardian Angel dog, Filburt has an adoption fee of $225. Guardian Angel dogs are highly desirable and command an increased adoption fee to help defray the costs of caring for rescues with special needs, whether medical or behavioral, or for those who have been with us for an extended period. In this way, our Guardian Angels directly support our other rescues. Filburt’s adoption fee includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and a free wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. Adoption hours are Thursday through Saturday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm by appointment. To meet Filburt, please call 602-971-1334. Filburt is waiting to find his forever home where he can share his love and happiness. Come meet this delightful boy and see if he’s the perfect fit for your family!
