Story
Sabrina’s Story:  Neighbors watched Sabrina and worried about her. She was sitting patiently in the driveway waiting for her people to come home. But the neighbors knew that the people had moved away and left Sabrina behind and so they reached out to us. As if that wasn't bad enough, Sabrina wasn't moving properly, and when we took her to see our vet, we found out that she had multiple  fractures of her pelvis! Today Sabrina is doing very well in her foster home. She has been on a program of careful rest and monitored activities and her fractures are healing well. She still has a way to go, but would like to complete her rehab in a home of her own. Help A Dog Smile will continue to cover all necessary medical expenses at her current vet practice. Sabrina has beautiful manners, she is house trained using a doggie door, possibly without one as well. She eats her food nicely and gets along great with the other foster dogs. She is leash trained and enjoys a quiet walk, but is terrified of traffic. It's possible that her pelvis was fractured due to being hit by a car. Sabrina would do well in almost any home. She attaches herself quickly to her humans and is very gentle and undemanding. She has not been around cats or small children but would probably do well. It's important for her continued healing that she not jump or play hard. She is happy to spend her day lying at your feet or curled up in her bed  Sabrina is estimated to be 5-6 years old, and is looking forward to meeting you. Adoption Requirements : Sabrina’s adoption fee is $350. If you think Sabrina is the dog for you please review the following adoption requirements.   Must live in the Phoenix metro area Must have a securely fenced yard Must be willing to work with Help A Dog Smile Rescue on Sabrina’s rehabilitation from a fractured pelvis.  Help A Dog Smile will continue to cover all necessary medical expenses from the fracture at her current vet practice. Buster is an active, adorable, very sweet typical beagle puppy! He will bring much joy to a home who has the time and energy to give this little guy. He is working diligently on his potty training and is very good in his crate, sleeping for 8 hours at night without a peep. He loves toys, chew sticks, and playing with his 3-year-old female beagle foster sister. He has not yet met any other four-legged friends or kids yet, but he is gentle and kind, so he would likely do well in most environments.Like all puppies, Buster loves to chew. He also loves to cuddle. He plays hard and sleeps hard. He is crate trained.Are you interested in adopting Buster Six? Story
Gertie was adopted from the county shelter in late December. She is absolutely wonderful with her humans, but unfortunately, she cannot be around the other household pet (an older male dog) despite training and having been separated since she was adopted. She is young and needs some structure and training, but is house trained, knows how to use a dog door, plays with toys, and loves to snuggle with a fuzzy blanket. However, she is currently reactive to other dogs in public (though, she does well in the structure group class she's been in) and she needs to be the only dog in the home as she has shown aggression to our other pet.This is our ONLY issue with her. We are devastated at not being able to keep her. Please help. Note that the adoption fee is only included for her safety and will be donated in its entirety to a rescue organization.
