Story
We took him in from a friend who was moving out of state and couldn’t take him with her. He’s super playful, goofy and a major cuddler! He will play with any toy you give him. He entertains himself. He knows sit and “kennel up” (which will go with him if adopted) and is kennel trained. He loves being outside!! Definitely needs a fenced in yard tho. He will paw at the door when he’s ready to come in. He’s not potty trained. We have an infant so his rambunctiousness is a little much for us. He also isn’t a fan of our older dog. He likes to kind of bully him. He has bit him quite a few times. He hasn’t bitten other dogs tho just our old boy. He's amazing with kids especially if they wanna run and play! He gets a treat when he comes back in from using the bathroom outside. We would definitely keep him if circumstances were different but we feel it’s best to rehome him.

Story
Currently located at our Owensboro, KY location   Opal’s foster mom has shared just how special this sweet senior girl is, and now it’s our turn to help her find the forever home she deserves! Opal originally came to us as a stray at the beginning of January. Since then, she has had surgery to remove a mass on her stomach and a cherry eye repair — and she has recovered beautifully in foster care. This gentle senior is an absolute sweetheart. She has a calm, easygoing personality and is perfectly content spending her day snoozing in a cozy spot. She loves people and happily soaks up all the pets and attention she can get. Good with other dogs Good with cats Good with kids Appears mostly potty trained (uses a doggy door and hasn’t had accidents in several days) If you’re looking for a low-key, loving companion with the sweetest heart, Opal is your girl. Opal is heartworm positive and will need ongoing care, but we will assist with treatment when she is brought in. Her adoption fee is $200. Opal is available for adoption through Daviess County It Takes A Village No-Kill Rescue. Apply to adopt and give this precious senior the soft landing she deserves. All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped and spayed or neutered.   ##2623261##
