Looking for a loyal, loving companion who enjoys spending time in your lap or by your side? Meet Lionel, a sweet and friendly pup who is ready to find his furever family. He is a 3 year old Havanese mix (likely with Poodle). When Lionel first came to us, he was extremely sick and had to be hospitalized. He is now a happy, healthy pup with a playful spirit. He even has a cute happy dance that he does with his front paws. He may appear shy initially around strangers; however, once he trusts you, his affection and sweetness shine through. His heart is as big as his curly hair and tail are adorable. He also has been very playful with the other dog in his foster home and enjoys being around her and the kids in his foster home. Lionel is blind and may have a few bumps, however he navigates his foster home and backyard well overall, even using the dog door by himself. He also enjoys walks. He's smart and would be able to adapt to new surroundings with time, patience, and care and in a home where he can build trust at his pace. Introducing Izzy! She is a 2.5 year old, 16 lb Lhasa Apso/Yorkie mix, but breed mix is just our best guess. Her formal name is Felicity, but she much prefers to be called Izzy! This little girl had a rough start in life, and she is still learning to trust people, but she has come a long way in her foster home. She now loves to sit in foster mom's lap, and she is allowed to sleep with them too. She loves playing with the other small dog in her foster home, and they run the fence line together. Izzy will do best in a home with another playful companion dog. She loves to play with toys and will collect them and play with them all day. Izzy came to us with a serious eye injury, so her eye had to be removed. This has not had any negative effect on her, and she actually feels a lot better. She has some allergies, so she may need allergy meds or shots from time to time. If you can provide Izzy with a calm, quiet home, please submit your application, and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.

Pickles is a 7 year old, 20 lb Lhasa Apso/Poodle mix. He was living a happy, content life, then his person developed health issues and could no longer care for him. We promised we would find another great home for him. Pickles has adapted very well at his foster home. Foster dad says he is a very good boy, housebroken, uses the doggie door, loves walks, and going to the dog park. He is beyond the toy playing stage, but he loves to sit on the couch with his fosters while they are watching TV. He is affectionate and loves to be petted. He is friendly with all people, including kids. He gets along with other dogs, but unsure about cats. He is not a fan of being crated, but he is well behaved enough to have run of the house.
