Story
Lucky is a 7 year old poodle mix weighing 17 pounds with a heart as big as his smile. This sweet, friendly boy gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has an easygoing, happy personality that makes him a joy to be around. Lucky came to us after experiencing neglect, covered in fleas that left his skin in rough shape. With proper care and lots of love, he’s healing beautifully, his fur is growing back, and his playful, cheerful spirit is shining through more each day. He’s clearly enjoying the comfort and attention he always deserved. Now healthy, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered, Lucky is ready to find his forever home. He’s a resilient little guy who just wants a loving family to share his happiness with.

Story
Meet Monroe! Monroe is an almost 4 month old Poodle puppy who got a second chance after being rescued from a difficult backyard breeding situation. Despite his rough start, this sweet little guy is ready to leave the past behind and start the next chapter of his life with a loving family. Like any young puppy, Monroe is curious, playful, and eager to learn about the world around him. He will thrive with an adopter who understands the time, patience, and commitment that come with raising a puppy. Ongoing training, socialization, and plenty of love will help him grow into a confident and well-adjusted companion. Monroe is up to date on his vaccinations, has been microchipped, and will be neutered soon. He is looking for a family that is ready to provide the care, guidance, and lifelong commitment every puppy deserves. If you're ready to welcome a sweet, resilient pup into your home and heart, Monroe may be the perfect match for you!

Story
Meet Hirit! He is the sweetest boyl! He is a 3 year old that was rescued from a kill shelter before heading to a dog meat farm in South Korea.  We have partners we work with there that pull these dogs from the worst horrors imaginable.  Many of these dogs start off in horiffic puppy mill type facilities on tiny rabbit cage size wire crates in complete filth.  If they are not sold at 6 or 8 weeks then they either stay for a couple years to be used to breed more and then are sold off to the meat trade, or they are sold off right away.  Jindo's and Tosa's are the most common meat type dogs, and are very commonly bred specifically for their meat and the meat farms also act as breeding farms until they reach a good age and weight. South Korea is one of the only countries that actually farms dogs for their meat.   Restaurants will serve a dish called " bosintang ", which stands for "dog meat soup". It's a popular dish in South  Korea,  and is said to act as an aphrodisiac for men.    Little dogs are used for elixirs and potions.  The younger generation is mostly against this practice and many choose to not eat them, and we can only hope in time with education and generations of change that an end will come to this horrific trade.  Hirit and some of his family and friends have been flown here for a chance at a future and a real life.  These are miracle dogs that they are alive today.  Our adoption fee is $600 which helps offset some of the flight costs.  If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application form at  https://form.jotform.com/oscarlucy/dog-adoption-app June 21, 2026, 7:52 am
