Meet Chiquita Chiquita is a gentle 10-year-old, 12 lb poodle–schnauzer mix with the sweetest heart. Her world was recently turned upside down when her beloved owner passed away. Through all the changes, Chiquita has shown nothing but love and a longing to be close to people. She adores cuddling, curling up in laps, and simply being near those who care for her. Chiquita has spent most of her life outdoors, so she isn’t fully housebroken yet—but she is eager to learn with patience and kindness. She currently lives peacefully with two other dogs and would do well in a home with furry companions or as the center of someone’s attention. This little soul has so much love left to give. All she needs is a safe, gentle place to call home and a family who will cherish her for the rest of her days. Being deaf doesn’t make Molly untrainable—it just means she’ll learn a little differently. Deaf dogs thrive with visual cues, consistency, and patient leadership, and Molly is smart enough to catch on quickly. This girl is sweet, curious, and full of personality. She’s already potty trained, crate trained, people-friendly, and dog-friendly with both big and small dogs. Molly loves to play and explore, and she’s always ready for fun. Like many young doodles, Molly can get a little mouthy when she’s overstimulated, so we recommend a home without young children. She’ll benefit from continued training, structure, and supervision—because if left to her own devices, she may decide your belongings are fair game. Think of her as a happy toddler, living in her own joyful (and silent!) little world.
