Story
Norma arrived at Downey Shelter as a stray and, sadly, was never reclaimed. While waiting for her second chance, she developed an upper respiratory infection and became at risk for euthanasia. Fortunately, shelter staff reached out for help, and we welcomed this sweet girl as a Frosted Face on July 23rd. Estimated to be 10 years old and weighing just 11 pounds, Norma has proven to be very resilient. Thanks to a revised treatment plan from the FFF Vet Staff, time to relax and recover in a loving foster home, and Norma’s fighting spirit, she is now symptom-free. And ready to meet her forever family! There’s something truly special about Norma. She’s a quiet, gentle soul who asks for very little and treasures every bit of kindness she receives. A soft touch, a calm voice, and a little patience mean the world to her. Norma has very limited vision, so she’ll need some gentle guidance as she learns her way around new spaces. In return, she’ll reward you with the quiet companionship and deep gratitude that make senior dogs so wonderful. Her foster mom shared: "Norma is 100% potty trained. We took short potty breaks outside, and by the end of our time together, she was exploring her surroundings for walks of about 20 minutes. Norma continues to eat like a champ. To improve her hydration, I added some bone broth to her water and she cleaned the bowl. Norma is very quiet, but I finally heard her bark, exactly two barks. She wandered into the kitchen and got lost, so I think she was calling me for help. I was happy to rescue her. When Norma was home alone, she slept until I returned. Norma tolerated a bath and sat still for some face trimming. She's a good girl! If you find yourself in the Littles Yard at FFF, give Norma a few scratches behind the ear and tell what a brave girl she is." If you have a soft spot for senior grannies and the heart to help one feel safe and loved, Norma may be the perfect match for you. To meet Norma, please email: placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Teddy, an 8-year-old Poodle mix with a handsome tan and white coat and a gentle, loving personality. After losing the only home he had known for many years, this sweet senior gentleman is looking for a family that will give him the patience and love he deserves. Teddy is partially deaf and relies on visual cues and routine, so he would do best with an adopter who understands his special needs. In return, he is a sweet, loyal companion who loves being with his people. Teddy is well-mannered in the home, rides calmly in the car, knows commands like “sit” and “lay down,” and enjoys playing with his toys. He enjoys daily walks but prefers leisurely strolls over long hikes, making him a great match for a calmer household. Teddy is vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 31, 2026, 8:13 pm
