15-year-old, 12-pound Roger was surrendered to the San Diego Humane Society when his family moved. No sooner had we welcomed him as a Frosted Face than he was selected for a weeklong Frosted Fling—and after losing the only home he’d known, we were so grateful he had the opportunity to decompress and receive extra TLC. His foster mom shares: “Roger is the sweetest! He is very friendly, mellow, and quiet. He just likes to be wherever you are. He’ll gently sniff around until he finds you, then settle at your feet. He naps often and loves to sleep in your arms like a baby. If you swaddle him, he will be snoring in no time! Roger fits in well with other dogs and isn’t bothered by cats. And he loves attention from kids! We took walks at the baseball fields, and he loved to trot along exploring." If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow who will fill your days with quiet companionship and your evenings with cozy cuddles, Roger is waiting for you! Meet Chiquita Chiquita is a gentle 10-year-old, 12 lb poodle–schnauzer mix with the sweetest heart. Her world was recently turned upside down when her beloved owner passed away. Through all the changes, Chiquita has shown nothing but love and a longing to be close to people. She adores cuddling, curling up in laps, and simply being near those who care for her. Chiquita has spent most of her life outdoors, so she isn’t fully housebroken yet—but she is eager to learn with patience and kindness. She currently lives peacefully with two other dogs and would do well in a home with furry companions or as the center of someone’s attention. This little soul has so much love left to give. All she needs is a safe, gentle place to call home and a family who will cherish her for the rest of her days. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Foster or forever home wanted, meet Molly! Molly found herself at the Hesperia Sheter as a stray back on January 16th. The shelter held her a bit longer than normal expecting someone was missing this sweet girl and would come looking for her. Well, it wasn't to be and all that extra time sitting in an overcrowded shelter was long enough for Molly to get an upper respiratory infection. When the shelter reached out to us to ask if we could help her, it was a resounding yes! Molly got her freedom ride from the shelter on January 30th.  We don't know a lot about Molly other than the shelter stating she is a very sweet and easy going dog. They did state that she appeared to be scared in the shelter and was reluctant to walk on the leash. She has improved from being sick so now we are hoping to see her personality come through.  If you are interested in meeting Molly, please head over to labradorsandfriends.org to fill out an application.
