15-year-old Roger was surrendered to the San Diego Humane Society when the only family he had ever known moved away and didn't take him along. He weighs 12 lbs., and every ounce of him is sweetness and love. Roger has been living in a Foster home since shortly after he became a Frosted Face in early February. This has helped us learn a lot about his personality, behavior in a home, and how he does living with another dog. (Spoiler alert: he's a superstar!) Roger's foster mom shares: “It’s been close to a month of fostering Roger, and I don’t know why he is still waiting for his forever home. He is the cutest sweetest guy ever! When Roger first came to our home, he was wandering around bumping into this and didn’t know what to do, but now he is reverse aging! Here's what I've learned about him: * he is a foodie! He loves bully sticks from Tuesdays natural dog company * he gets puppy zoomies after a bath, which is the cutest thing ever! * when he knows you're his person, he gets so excited when he sees you’re home! And who wouldn’t love a sweetheart greeting you after a long day at work? * he is great with dogs, big or small, cats, children and small animals! He is the perfect little package! * he walks wonderfully on a leash, and when he kicks it into gear, his ears just flop around super adorably! * he is good about being groomed * he rides nicely in the car * when he is home by himself, he settles after a little bit and just goes about his business Roger is the sweetest guy ever that gives off puppy with his adorable face and his random spurts of energy!" Meet Chiquita Chiquita is a gentle 10-year-old, 12 lb poodle–schnauzer mix with the sweetest heart. Her world was recently turned upside down when her beloved owner passed away. Through all the changes, Chiquita has shown nothing but love and a longing to be close to people. She adores cuddling, curling up in laps, and simply being near those who care for her. Chiquita has spent most of her life outdoors, so she isn’t fully housebroken yet—but she is eager to learn with patience and kindness.
