Story
Uffie is an adorable little poodle/Chihuahua mix with the perfect puppy combination of playful, cuddly, curious, and just a little bit silly! Still a baby, she's discovering the world one adventure at a time—and she's already showing what a wonderful family dog she's going to be.
Uffie has a great balance of puppy fun and chill. She gets the occasional zoomies, but they're short-lived, and she's just as happy settling down with a toy afterward. She loves exploring the backyard, playing with her foster sibling, chasing balls, and practicing her tug-of-war skills. She's still working on the "bring it back" part of fetch, but she's having a great time figuring it out!
When she's ready to recharge, Uffie is happiest curled up with her person. She loves being held, will happily climb into your lap for cuddles, and is content to snuggle once playtime is over. She's also learning to entertain herself, often taking her favorite toys over to her dog bed to chew and play.
Uffie is a smart little girl who is already learning her puppy manners. She sometimes jumps up when she's excited, but she's catching on quickly that four paws on the floor are the way to go. She's also making good progress with potty training and does well using potty pads. At night and when her foster family is away, she stays comfortably in her gated/crated area and settles nicely. She's generally quiet and waits until precisely 6 a.m. to announce that it's time to start the day!
Uffie does well in the car and loves exploring her surroundings. She's still learning about new people and can be a little timid at first, so she does best when introductions are slow and gentle. If someone approaches too quickly, she'll retreat to a safe spot such as under a chair or into her kennel. Once she has a chance to decide you're okay, though, she warms up quickly and gets right back to being her happy, playful self.
With her sweet personality, moderate energy, intelligence, and love of cuddling, Uffie is shaping up to be a wonderful little companion. She's ready to keep learning, exploring, and growing alongside a family who will give her the guidance and love every puppy deserves.
If you're looking for a puppy who can keep up with backyard adventures but is equally happy curling up in your lap when the fun is over, Uffie might be your perfect match!

*This animal will be attending our Summer of Love Adoption Event at the Mall of America on Sunday, August 16th, from 11am-1PM. If you're interested in adopting, you must attend the event in person and be prepared to take the animal home that same day.
