Story
Hi… I’m Rusty 🤎 I’m a small 7kg boy, a Bichon–Poodle mix (they call it a “Poochon”), with soft brown fur and a gentle heart. My story didn’t start in a kind place. I came from a hoarding environment, where things were confusing and sometimes scary. When I barked or didn’t understand something, I was punished… so now, I’m still learning that the world—and people—can be safe. I’m a shy and careful boy. When I meet someone new or enter a new place, I might feel nervous and unsure. I may need a little time… just to watch, to understand, to feel okay. And especially… I can be a bit more cautious around men. It’s not your fault—it’s just something I remember. But if you give me time, and don’t rush me, I can learn to trust again. Here’s something important about me though—once I start to trust you, I change. I begin to relax. I start to accept gentle touches. And little by little… I let my guard down. I’m not a dog who will run into your arms right away. But I am a dog who will quietly come closer, and one day, choose to stay. I might bark sometimes when I feel unsure, and if I’m left alone for too long, I might feel anxious. What I really need isn’t strict training—it’s a calm, predictable life where I can feel safe. I’m still learning things like potty training too, so I’ll need your patience, guidance, and lots of gentle encouragement. More than anything, I need consistency. A steady routine. A home where nothing feels sudden or overwhelming. Because I’m not just a “cute dog.” I’m a heart that’s healing. I may open slowly… but when I do, I will love deeply, trust fully, and stay by your side with my whole heart. If you can wait for me, if you can understand me, I promise… I’ll be worth it. Will you be the one who gives me a safe place to finally rest? 🤎

Story
At 10 years young, Angus is a devoted companion to his foster mom and truly shines when he’s with his human. Poor Angus came to us in need of a dental, with a very painful mouth. TEAM completed his dental and he is on the road to recovery and his new life! He loves being around his people as much as possible and is happiest simply sharing space, whether that’s relaxing on the couch or hanging out in the kitchen. He would really love an adopter or family that is home often to keep him company in his senior years. Angus gets along well with other dogs, especially smaller ones, like his foster siblings. While he’s not interested in rough-and-tumble play, he enjoys their presence and coexisting peacefully. He is also good with cats! While Angus enjoys some time in the backyard, he really enjoys being comfy indoors. We hope to find out how much he loves the outdoors in warmer weather. Angus will do best with a confident, experienced adopter who can provide clear boundaries and gentle guidance. He thrives with someone who understands dogs and can offer structure along with plenty of affection. Due to his needs, a home without children under 12 is recommended. If you’re looking for a loyal, steady companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side, Angus may be the perfect match. Please complete an adoption application if this adorable boy might be your new family member.
