QUICK FACTS Name: Lua Age: 9 years old (Estimated) Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Poodle Color: Black Weight:6 kg / 13 lbs Microchipped Full Vaccinated   MY RESCUE STORY     MY HEALTH  March 2025: Patellar luxation check  May 2025: Spay surgery 10 teeth extracted Dental scaling Mammary tumor removal KIT test positive November 2025: KIT test negative (Stage 2, larvae observed, no heart shape deformity, no related symptoms)   MY PERSONALITY Hi! I’m Lua, a calm and gentle girl who loves being around people. I really enjoy watching TV and snuggling with my humans. I’m a little shy at first, but I warm up quickly with treats and enjoy being petted once we’re friends.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m a little shy at first, but I love treats and will quickly warm up to you. Once we’re friends, I enjoy being petted and cuddled. I haven’t met many children under 13 yet, and I’m happy to be picked up by sliding your arms under my belly. I’m looking for a loving family who will give me patience, treats, and gentle cuddles! · With Dogs: I will approach and greet unfamiliar dogs, but I don’t usually play with them right away—I need some time to feel comfortable. I tend to feel a bit overwhelmed around dogs with high energy, and I’m generally not very interested in other dogs. · With Cats: I haven’t had any observed reactions to cats yet. At the hospital, I didn’t respond to the cats in the neighboring kennels.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a low energy level and love to relax calmly. I’m not very used to walks, and if something scares me during a walk, I tend to lie flat on the ground. TRAINING & HABITS I don’t guard my food from people, but I may growl if another dog approaches while I’m eating. I almost never bark. I’m calm when in a kennel. I haven’t learned to go to the bathroom indoors and don’t seem to have experience with potty pads. MY IDEAL HOME A calm and patient family who understands she’s a little shy at first Experienced with or open to older, low-energy dogs Children over 13 or adults, as she hasn’t had much experience with young kids A quiet environment without high-energy or very playful dogs A home where she can relax indoors, with gentle walks introduced gradually Someone willing to help her learn potty pads or indoor bathroom habits Plenty of treats, cuddles, and soft spots to lounge   SPECIAL NOTES Meet Lua! She’s a friendly and active Poodle who doesn’t let her age show. Despite being a Stage 2 rescue dog, she’s full of energy and loves spending time with people. Lua is ready to find a loving home where she can share her playful spirit and sweet personality with her new family.   Lua's YouTube Playlist   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2615964##

ALL ABOUT ME  Name: Maxim Age: 10 years old Gender: Male Spayed/Neutered: Yes Breed: Poodle Colour: Brown Weight: 5kg / 11lbs Microchipped: Yes   MY RESCUE STORY Hi there! I’m Maxim. I had a scary start—I was placed on the euthanasia list at a city pound because the shelter didn’t have enough space. Thankfully, I was rescued just in time, and now I’m healthy, happy, and ready to find my forever family who will love me and give me the safe, caring home I deserve.   MY HEALTH Fully vaccinated (5-round series complete)  I’ve been neutered and have no known health issues.   MY PERSONALITY I’m a sweet and smart girl who absolutely adores people! I love meeting new friends and enjoy their company, and I get along peacefully with my dog friends too. I’m friendly, gentle, and full of love to share with my forever family.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS With People: I absolutely love people! I enjoy greeting new friends and making connections wherever I go. I’m always happy to receive pets and affection, and you can easily pick me up for cuddles. I haven’t had much experience with kids yet, but with gentle, dog-savvy children, I’m sure I’ll do great thanks to my sweet and friendly nature.   With Dogs:  I enjoy saying hello to new dog friends, but I like to take my time before jumping into play. After a quick greeting, I usually prefer to do my own thing. I’m pretty indifferent around other dogs, but one thing’s for sure—I’m very peaceful and easygoing! Even if another dog is a little rude or pushy, I’ll calmly walk away and avoid any drama. I’m all about keeping things calm and conflict-free.   With Cats:  I haven’t met any cats yet, so my reaction is unknown.    ENERGY AND ACTIVITIES I have a low energy level and love being a true couch potato indoors. I enjoy relaxing, lounging, and soaking up calm moments with my people—there’s nothing better than a cozy spot and some quiet time.   TRAINING & HABITS I follow my handler’s lead well and seem to have plenty of experience walking on leash. I’m easygoing around both people and dogs and don’t guard my food. Sometimes I bark to get attention, and I may bark at strangers when I first meet them, but I settle quickly. I know how to rest calmly in my kennel and can potty both indoors and outdoors. In new environments, I might mark a little, so I’ll need some gentle guidance from my new family to help me adjust. With patience and love, I’ll continue to learn and thrive!   MY IDEAL HOME I’m looking for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that offers a safe, structured, and calm environment. A family that enjoys spending quality time together indoors & outdoors. A family that can shower me with love and attention.   SPECIAL NOTES I’m a friendly and affectionate pup who loves meeting new people and getting lots of pets. I enjoy spending time outdoors exploring, but I can also settle down and relax indoors. I walk nicely on leash, and I’m easygoing around people and dogs, though I do best with a little guidance in new situations. I’m potty-trained for both indoors and outdoors, and with a consistent routine, I’ll happily prefer outdoor potty. I’m full of love and ready to find my forever family who will help me feel safe, happy, and cherished every day.   For More YouTube Clips, Click Here!Maxim’s YouTube Playlist ##2508818##

Story
Mario is a four-year-old neutered male mini poodle mix. He has a beautiful apricot coat and weighs 12.5 lb. He has been neutered, received a health check and microchip. His vaccines and prevention medication are all up to date. He eats kibble mixed with wet food twice a day and the occasional soft treat. He is a very affectionate boy who loves to jump on your lap for a snuggle. Mario is housetrained. He goes to the door and sits when he needs to go out. He knows “sit” and comes when called. He gets along with other dogs well. He is a bit too interested in cats for their liking. He enjoys time outside exploring the backyard and walks well on a leash. He is beginning to play with soft toys and balls. He can do stairs and jump on furniture. He prefers sleeping on a chair or sofa to a dog bed. At night he sleeps on the foot of his fosters bed. Mario is not destructive and can be left on his own in the home for several hours with no issues. He is generally quiet in the house except for the joyful and enthusiastic welcome home barks when you return from being out. His new owners should monitor him carefully in new situations as visiting a vet or groomer might be stressful for him. Mario has loved everyone he has met while in foster care and is looking for a new owner who wants a happy loving companion. He is being fostered in Waterloo.January 26, 2026, 10:27 am

Story
Ollie and Lulu were surrendered to us when their owner no longer had the time to care for them. They both had untreated medical issues and severe dental disease, leaving them extremely uncomfortable and lethargic. After receiving treatment they became almost entirely different dogs. Ollie and Lulu may be seniors but they sure do like to go for walks and run around the yard together. They are a volunteer favourite because of their goofy and sweet dispositions. They are selective with dogs and would only do well in a home with another calm dog that does not intimidate or become rough with them. Ollie does bark at other dogs in passing, while Lulu ignores them. Ollie and Lulu would do well in just about any home. They have been great with respectful children that are experienced with dogs. Lulu can sometimes have grumpy moments when she wants her space to nap. It's important to look for the obvious signs when she needs alone time. Ollie is always happy and ready for a cuddle. This cute duo have great house manners, they frequently go on sleepovers with our dedicated volunteers who report they are always on their best behaviour. Story
ALL ABOUT ME  Name: Roha Age: 7 years old Gender: Male Spayed/Neutered: Yes Breed: Bedlington Terrier Colour: Gray Weight: 9kg / 20 lbs Microchipped: Yes   MY RESCUE STORY I used to roam the streets all alone, and then I ended up at a city pound under the euthanasia list simply because there wasn’t enough space. Luckily, rescuers gave me a second chance, and I was adopted by someone who seemed to be my forever family. My adopter even brought me to Bedlington Terrier meet-ups, and for a moment, it felt like I had finally found my place in the world. Sadly, just one week after my adoption, I was found back on the streets, wearing the same little outfit I had on when I left for my new home. I ended up back in a city pound, unsure of what had gone wrong. But I haven’t lost hope! I’m ready to leave my past behind and I’m patiently waiting to meet the family who will truly love and cherish me forever.   MY HEALTH Fully vaccinated (5-round series complete) I’ve been spayed and have no known health issues.   MY PERSONALITY I’m a super friendly boy, and volunteers and staff say my charm and sweet personality make me hard to resist! I love meeting new people, receiving pets, and spending time with humans. Playtime is one of my favorite things, especially when it involves my toys, and I’m happy to be handled and cuddled. I can be a little sensitive at times, particularly around areas I feel attached to, so I would do best in a home with a family experienced with dogs who can give me guidance and understanding.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS With People: I’m a super friendly boy who absolutely adores people! My tail wags non-stop when I meet someone new, and I’m always ready for pets, cuddles, and all the affection you can give. I’ll even happily roll onto my back and show my belly to strangers—yes, I’m that trusting! You can easily scoop me up for snuggles, and I melt into your arms like a little marshmallow. Mealtime is a breeze with me too, since I don’t guard my food from people. While I haven’t spent much time around kids yet, I can be a bit protective of certain special spots that I get attached to, so I’d thrive best in a calm home without young children, where I can feel safe, loved, and completely at ease.   With Dogs:  I enjoy greeting new dogs, but I like to take my time before jumping into play. High-energy or pushy dogs can overwhelm me, so supervised introductions are important. I can get a little jealous if another dog is receiving attention, so I’d do best as the only dog in my forever home. I can also be protective of my food when other dogs are nearby, so having my own space during mealtimes is essential.   With Cats:  I haven’t met any cats yet, so my reaction is unknown.   ENERGY AND ACTIVITIES I have a nice, balanced energy level — just the right mix of adventure and relaxation! I love spending time outdoors, taking in the sights and smells, but once I’m back inside, I settle down easily and enjoy a calm, cozy rest. Whether we’re out for a walk or lounging at home, I’m happy just being by your side.   TRAINING & HABITS I have plenty of leash-walking experience — I follow my handler’s lead well and walk at a nice, steady pace. I can bark when I want attention, and while I don’t guard my food from people, I can be sensitive around other dogs and may growl to advocate for my space. I know how to rest calmly in my kennel and prefer to go potty outside, though I can go indoors as well. With a consistent routine, I’ll happily stick to outdoor potty time.   I’m a sweet boy who gets along wonderfully with people and is generally neutral with other dogs. Volunteers and staff have noticed that I can be protective of certain spots I’m attached to, like resting areas. When I feel protective, I may growl to guard my space. With continued training and guidance, I can learn to be less possessive, and I’ll do best with proper management, such as having my own designated resting spots like a crate.   I’m not sure what I went through in my past, and sometimes I can be sensitive to sticks or sudden objects. But beyond that, I’m a wonderful boy with so much potential, ready to show my loving and gentle side to the right family. A family who understands my love for food and that I can get a little protective when other dogs are nearby. With gentle guidance, patience, and lots of love, they’ll help me learn to be calm and patient during mealtimes. A family who understands that I can be protective of certain spots I get attached to and is willing to use gentle training and management to help me feel safe and confident. Ideally as the only dog in the household as I can get jealous. A family of experienced dog owners who will understand my past struggles, appreciate my unique personality, and see the wonderful potential in me.   SPECIAL NOTES Volunteers and staff describe me as a super sweet and affectionate boy, especially during my photoshoot! I generally get along well with both people and dogs, though I do have some resource guarding tendencies that will need gentle guidance and consistent training. With the right support, I’m confident I can learn patience and sharing, and truly show off my wonderful potential. My guarding habits likely stem from my past, when I had to fend for myself on the streets, but they don’t take away from my love for people—I enjoy being handled and absolutely adore receiving affection. I’m ready to shine in a forever home that will help me grow into my best self!   For More YouTube Clips, Click Below! Roha's YouTube Playlist ##2526670##
