Story
His name is Phineas but also answers to Finny. He loves being around people and loves sleeping at the foot of our beds. He minds his own business mostly and but wants to be rubbed from his head down to his tail when he’s in the mood. Not afraid of strangers will meow and rub against anyone.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Welcome to Act 2 Rescue where you become part of our A2R family. Adoption is an important time in your life and we are grateful to be a part of it. We look forward to offering you a personalized adoption experience with continuing behavioral support as needed.  Please be aware we are a small foster based rescue in Riverside, California. Our volunteers often have other jobs/careers as well. We are not a government funded shelter and all of our donations and adoption fees are used to run the rescue and help the animals in our care. Since we are no kill, higher fees for in demand breeds help us cover critical care.  We are always in need of volunteers, donations, and fosters. Please excuse any wait times as we are often inundated with emergencies or short staffed. You can learn more about us on our website https://act2rescue.org or at www.allmylinks.com/act2rescue          Hi, I'm Phoebe and I am very beautiful as you can see. I am a Lynx Point Himalayan Mix and I am very sweet but shy at first. I am about 10 months old and I use to have a great body but after delivering and raising six kittens I have a lot of loose skin. Kids will do that to you! I have a funny way of talking because I meow very softly, I growl, and I hiss sometimes but I am not mad, that is just the way I communicate. My babies all found their forever homes so now it is my turn! I need a home with another kitty so I have someone to hang with. If you have room in your heart for me, please fill out an application so I can go home with you. I am all ready for my new home! I have been seen by a veterinarian, have all shots I was able to get when I was sterilized. I am microchipped and all I need now is you! I am currently living in a foster home and am fully litter trained. Act 2 Rescue will even help you make sure I am able to integrate into your human and pet family with their behavioral coaching support during the transition period.  _______________________________________________________________________ Adoption process: Log into our website and complete the adoption application at link below: Applications : Forms (rescuegroups.org) Once approved, check back if you haven't heard in 48 hours. You will be scheduled for a virtual home check to ensure safety of residence (not perfect cleanliness), once clear you can set up a meet and greet or meet your kitty at PetsMart in Rancho Cucamonga on Sunday (if we are scheduled).  All animals have been sterilized, received 2 sets of FVCRP vaccines, rabies (if over 4 months at time of sterilization), and microchipped. Free support from a pet behavioral coach is available via text post adoption during their transition into your home.  No animals can be held without a $75 deposit. Deposits cannot be refunded if you change your mind, they are to hold a cat and can result in other adopters being told they cannot adopt.  Found animals are placed on hold for 7 days to find owner. Microchip has been looked for and either not found or missing. Animal are posted in Pet Harbor and on social media for this period. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Steps 1-3 of the ADOPTION PROCESS must be done before we do OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS to lessen potential COVID exposure for our volunteers.  ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Fill out an application at act2rescue.org under the adoption or Forms tab (you will need to create a log in) 2. You will receive an email/text to notify you if your application was approved and to set up a time for a virtual home check/interview.  If you do not hear from us within 3 days please text 951-444-9108 or email us at act2rescue@gmail.com to confirm we have received your application. We appreciate your patience as our volunteers also have responsibilities outside our rescue and may not always be able to be as fast as we would like.   3. Complete a virtual home check/interview. We are not looking for perfect homes just safe ones.  4. Official meet & greet with your kitty at an adoption event, foster care, or adoption center depending on location of the kitty.  5. Sign adoption contract 6. Pay adoption fee via zelle using act2rescue@gmail.com (not our phone number) or cash 7. Take your kitty home. Be sure to isolate kitty while they adjust to your home. We may check in from time to time to be sure you do not need any additional support because we love hearing how our kitties are doing. As volunteer staff, happy stories are literally our paycheck.  8. Check out our website https://act2rescue.org for resources, blogs and info on how to best take care of your new kitty. Our professional behavior coach is available via text to assist you with transition as well. We also have a Facebook group to interact with our behavior coach and other kitten care experts, as well as our A2R family like you! ****Please note, we do not have dedicated staff for phone lines so please text instead of calling. If the cat/kitten is listed, they are available. However, they could have pending applications or meet and greets. Please note: filling out an application and approval does not obligate you to adopt the kitty. If they are not a fit...we have plenty of other kitties for adoption. This kitty has received at least two FVCRP vaccines, rabies if over 4 months, Revolution for fleas/ticks/heartworms/stomach parasites/ear mites, de-wormer, sterilization*, and microchip (you must register for it to work but it's free). *We usually do not do snap tests per protocol explained here https://www.uwsheltermedicine.com/library/resources/why-are-some-shelters-no-longer-testing-all-cats-for-felv-and-fiv  All kitties are given a general wellness check by a veterinarian prior to sterilization.  *If the kitty is not sterilized at time of adoption, the adoption will be pending sterilization and wellness check. All animals must be sterilized to complete the adoption process. Deposits: The only way we can hold a kitty is with a non-refundable (if you decide not to adopt within 2 weeks not if we void the adoption) deposit of $75. We reserve the right to void the adoption up until the point the contract is signed. If we cancel the adoption (for kitty health or other issues) we will refund your deposit. If you wait longer than 2 weeks, we cannot hold the kitty due to space constraints. Your deposit could be used on another kitty. If you decide not to adopt at all, any deposit will go to the care of animals rescued with us and may be written off as a donation.     June 4, 2023, 3:18 am
