Story
IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit: www.frecklesfoundation.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Jewel! This gorgeous 3-year-old Himalayan beauty is named for her stunning, sparkling eyes that are sure to steal your heart. Jewel may initially come across as a bit of a grumpy old lady, but beneath that serious expression is a cat who absolutely loves attention, pets, and being close to her people. Jewel adores being brushed, enjoys soaking up affection, and would happily spend her evenings curled up beside you. In fact, one of her favorite things is sleeping with her foster and keeping her favorite human company. While she tolerates other cats, Jewel can be easily intimidated by more outgoing felines and prefers companions who respect her space. She would thrive as an only cat or in a home with calm, respectful cats who won’t invade her personal bubble. Jewel does have food allergies, and her foster has worked diligently to find a diet that keeps her comfortable. After much trial and error, we’ve discovered that she does wonderfully on a homemade bison-based diet. When fed other foods, she becomes very itchy and can scratch herself raw, so her future family will need to be committed to maintaining her special diet. Jewel is spayed, vaccinated, negative for FelV/FIV, and microchipped. She’s ready to find a home where she can be cherished, pampered, brushed regularly, and loved for the beautiful, affectionate girl she truly is. The adoption fee for this cat is $500. Application for adoption: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FRE/Cat If you are viewing on Petfinder and cannot see photos or would like to apply for this kitten, please visit our website www.frecklesfoundation.org ***Please note that the first step in the process is to complete our nonbinding application which does not commit you in any way, but allows us to help you to find a great match. Our application review process also includes a veterinary reference check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives (if applicable) and examined annually by your vet.*** Cats adopted through Freckles Foundation & Animal Rescue must be indoor only and may not be declawed unless already declawed at the time of rescue.

Story
Meet our beautiful senior Himalayan, a sweet 13-year-old female looking for a quiet, loving forever home. She was originally adopted as a kitten from a reputable breeder by a family member. When that family member moved away, she was lovingly entrusted to my mother, who has cared for and cherished her ever since. She has spent nearly her entire life in one stable, loving home. She is a small, indoor cat with a calm, gentle, and independent personality. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she feels safe and comfortable, she enjoys relaxing in her favorite spots and quietly keeping you company. She is litter box trained and has no known diagnosed medical conditions. Like many senior cats, she has some age-related stiffness, but she continues to enjoy a peaceful indoor lifestyle. We are looking for a patient adopter who understands that senior cats may take a little time to adjust to a new environment. She would thrive in a quiet home with someone who appreciates peace.

HOW THIS ANIMAL IS WITH: CATS: Fine with cats but happy as a single left alone DOGS: No dogs KIDS: No small kids KNOWN LIKES: Head scratches and Churu lickable treats KNOWN DISLIKES: Chaos, loud noises, handled too much ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: 🤎 Emily — A Graceful Senior Seeking Peace, Comfort, and a Soft Place to Land Meet Emily, a beautiful senior Himalayan mix whose life was suddenly turned upside down. When her beloved human passed away, Emily — along with many other cats — found herself without a home at a time when she should have been safe, settled, and cherished. To keep her out of the shelter, she came into foster care, where we’ve gotten to know this quiet, dignified girl. At 17 years old, Emily is an easygoing companion who asks for very little but gives gentle affection in return. She enjoys soft head scratches, cozy naps in sunny spots, and curling up in her covered cat bed where she feels secure. She’s perfectly content as a single cat in a calm home, but she’s also used to living with other cats and can coexist peacefully as long as they respect her space. Emily’s favorite indulgence? Churu lickable treats — she lights up for them every time. This sweet senior has weathered a lot of change, and she deserves a home where she can finally relax, feel safe, and be loved for the rest of her golden years. If you can offer Emily a quiet, comforting home and a warm heart, she’s ready to share her gentle love with you. Story
Warda is an adorable young Himalayan kitten we are pleased to have with us. She was purchased as a kitten from a filthy pet store. Warda came to us in poor health mostly from neglect. We have treated her and she is now a healthy active girl. She loves human attention. Enjoys being carried and doted on. Plays beautifully with her fellow foster friends. We would like Warda to go to a home with another cat for companionship. Also we prefer the home has experience with long haired cats due to the grooming needs. Fostered in Fairfax, VA

Story
Kiara is a stunning adult pure bred Himalayan girl we just love. She was probably bought from a breeder as a kitten and the family just abandoned her. This sadly is what happens where she came from. Kiara is stunning. She has that thick, long beautiful brown coat of a Himalayan. She came to us dirty and underweight but through good food she has blossomed When she first arrived she ate so fast like it was her last meal. She is extremely outgoing and friendly. Loves people attention. Enjoys petting and brushing. Does great with other cats. Should be fine with children and dogs. We want Kiara to go to a home experienced with Persians and/or Himalayans. They require daily grooming. Fostered in Fairfax, VA

Story
Ferdinand (Ferdi) is a sweet, purebred cream-point Himalayan, about 10 lbs and nearly 9 years old. Due to an international move, his family made the hard decision to find him a new home. Ferdi has an incredibly loving and easygoing personality. He purrs constantly and loves everyone he meets- he will curl up in any lap he sees! Ferdi was also raised with a dog and another cat and was around many children for most of his life and has always gotten along very well with them.Like many flat-faced cats, Ferdi has chronic nasal congestion (sneezing and snot) and is also deaf.Ferdi deserves a loving, stable home where he gets love and cuddles. The move is on the 18th of July, so we are hoping to find him a home before then.
