Story
Meet Azul! MO4PAWS is networking Azul for a family that can no longer keep him due to their living situation and son moving out of the country. He’s a very good and loving dog, all he wants is attention and love. He loves to go out and has the typical husky energy. He is currently an outdoor dog with the family he resides at. As would any dog, with some training and guidance he will be a wonderful dog for someone! When it comes to kids, he isn't aggressive with other people and has never bit anyone, he just can be a little jumpy as a result of his energy. We want to find a family that will just love him and take him in as part of their own!

Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee. This dog will be at a meet and greet event on Saturday, April 6th at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express from 12-3pm, unless he/she is set up and adopted prior to the event. Those interested in meeting the dog can come out to our meet and greet event. We no longer do application approval onsite. Anyone adopting has been previously approved and set up to meet prior to the event. Adoption Fee: $600 Leo is a 5 Month old Husky Mix who is coming to you directly from the stages of Broadway! These brothers, Leo and Max, are full of charisma and charm, and are ready to impress you with their talented voices and wits. Arriving from the shelter, Max and Leo’s goal is to step into the limelight and steal their forever families’ hearts. DPS will be looking for separate homes for each brother because both pups need their individual spotlight. Just like his character in The Producers, Leo is a highly intelligent companion, picking up tricks very quickly and enjoying snuggles with his foster family. He also is a loyal brother, always rushing to aid Max in carrying out a scheme. As these boys grow, they will become large pups looking to keep their new families active and engaged. Words from the Foster:“Leo is a gentle, loving pup who loves cuddles and fuzzy blankets. He is often found curled up in front of the heating vent. While his brother is outgoing, Leo is more quietly clever. He quickly learned that sit gets him a treat and is eager to find out what other words get him snacks! Leo has heterochromia and his striking looks garner him attention from all who meet him! This Producer can’t wait to charm his new family! Leo is almost housetrained; his rare accidents (2/week) are at times when he is not encouraged to go outside after eating. Leo is doing well walking on a leash and knows how to sit to get a treat. Leo is undaunted by cold or rain, and happy to frolic outside regardless of weather. We leave Leo loose in the house unattended for ≤1.5 hr when he seems pretty chill – like after he has been out for a walk. He went through a very chewy phase and is coming out of it but there is still some risk. Leo goes easily in his crate with a little kibble enticement. Leo is a big snuggle bug but is also not a Velcro dog. He is very intuitive and aware of the other residents (furry and human) in the household. Max and Leo play very well with our big dog and have had curious interactions with our two cats. They are working on house training but are puppies, so of course accidents are expected! While the brothers are more mellow than your typical husky, they will still be active pups when fully grown and can’t wait to plan some adventures with their forever families!” A Day in the Life of Leo:“Max and Leo wake up around 7 AM after sleeping through the night. After some morning greetings, they run outside for a potty break. After breakfast, they go outside for about 1 hour to run around and play. Then they hang out inside with the resident dogs until their foster mom has a break to take them for a morning walk. After the morning walk they get a chewie and then nap. They have a kibble snack in the middle of the day and then romp outside and/or nap. They get another walk in the afternoon/early evening. They have dinner at 7 PM, go out immediately after to relieve themselves, then watch some TV and go out for an evening walk around 9:30/10 PM.” Eligibility to Adopt:Interested homes should have owned a dog in the past. Priority will be given to homes that have experience with training large-breed dogs. Kids in the home should be over the age of 7.May 1, 2024, 9:42 pm

He is the leader of his brother and is very confidently curious about everything he experiences. He is also very watchful of his foster family and loves to follow us around for snuggles.
