Willow is a lovely tri color Siberian Husky mix with tall, alert ears, a striking face, and a lean, athletic build. She arrived at Cobb Animal Services on July 8th, and at 1 year old, this sweet girl is still young and has plenty of life ahead of her.
Willow is heartworm positive. If you live in Georgia, Cobb Animal Services will cover the entire cost of heartworm treatment if you adopt her. You simply need to bring her back for her scheduled treatment appointments and give the prescribed oral medication at home. Heartworms are not contagious between dogs. With proper treatment and care, heartworm-positive dogs can go on to live full, happy lives.
Willow is treat motivated and will sit nicely for a reward, showing a real eagerness to learn and connect with the people around her. Like many dogs adjusting to a new environment, she may take a little time to warm up, but her sweet nature shows more and more as she settles in.
Willow arrived at the shelter alongside Fern, and the bond between the two has been a steady comfort through this experience - adopters are warmly encouraged to consider bringing both girls home together, so that companionship can continue. Willow will be spayed prior to adoption and is up to date on vaccines, so she is well prepared for her next chapter.
