Story
Meet Blue! This handsome guy is the total package! He is gentle, affectionate, and social with people of all ages as well as dogs. He is very trainable, listens well, and is relatively quiet and laid back (for a husky). He does great meeting new people and dogs. Blue is not a couch potato. He should go to a home with a fenced yard or some other way to provide him with sufficient exercise. He does become a little excited on leash when he sees other dogs, but he walks nicely with a head halter. Blue grew up around young kids and currently lives with 1- and 3-year-old children. His family describes him as very patient, tolerant, and gentle with the kids. This sweetie has always done well with other dogs. He is currently living with a 6-year-old corgi named Sophie. Their family feels that the two dogs are bonded and would prefer that they stay together. Blue's only minor fault is occasional resource guarding of very high value items (like a new rawhide) from other dogs (not from people). This resource guarding is generally mild though he did on one occasion bite his BFF Sophie when she approached his new chew. This issue has been easy for his family to manage. Blue is about 5 years old, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and has no known health issues. He is house trained and does not need to be crated. Blue and Sophie are losing their home because their family is moving to a place where they cannot have their beloved dogs. We (FFOCAS) are helping the family safely rehome their dogs. Our preference is to find a home for both dogs together. However, if you are interested in only one, please do reach out because we and the family understand that it may not be possible to find one home for both dogs.
