Courtesy Post. To apply for Frankie please visit Northwest Rescue Collective, www.northwestrescuecollective.com Frankie is an 11-year-old Husky with a striking look and a resilient spirit. This one-eyed gentleman has been through more than any dog should, but he’s still hoping to find a quiet, patient home where he can finally feel safe. Frankie forms strong bonds with his people and is incredibly loyal once he trusts you. He enjoys staying active with games of fetch, running around the yard, and going on daily walks. After some exercise, he’s perfectly happy relaxing indoors and spending time with his family. Because of his past, Frankie needs a home that understands he may take a little time to warm up to new people. With patience and consistency, he shows his sweet and devoted personality. Frankie’s highlights: • Loyal and affectionate once bonded • Loves fetch, running, and daily walks • Great with kids • Enjoys outdoor time but also loves relaxing indoors • Needs a large, securely fenced yard Best home for Frankie: • No cats or chickens • Patient family willing to do slow, proper introductions to new people • A calm, stable environment where he can feel secure Frankie lost an eye earlier in life, but he hasn’t lost his desire for companionship. He’s simply looking for someone willing to meet him with patience and kindness. If you believe in second chances, Frankie might just be the loyal companion you’ve been looking for.

Story
URGENT NEED FOR REHOMING! Kobe is an amazing dog with a huge capacity to love. But he is in danger of being put down. My family rescued Kobe from an abusive situation. He was kept outside in all year on such a short leash that he could barely go inside his doghouse. They kept Kobe only to make money using him as a stud animal. He was not given food or water consistently. The small children of the family screamed at him and threw things. When we finally got him to our house it took a long time for him to get along with our 9 y.o. mutt and a 3 y.o. German Shepherd-Husky. But he warmed up quickly to me and my teens. Kobe is not perfect. He dug under our fence and killed a neighbor's goats. The city decided he's a dangerous dog. If I can't immediately rehome him, he will be put down. We love him but I am not allowed to keep him in the city limits anymore so I can't have him back. He's a sweet, loving dog. Kobe needs an environment where his high-prey drive is not a problem and he is loved.

Aberdeen Scottish Terrier Rescue is a registered 501(c)3 Web Site: www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APPLICATION before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thank You for your cooperation*** Please read listings fully to the end before applying for one of our beloved rescues. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER; WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes around WA state & Oregon but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Zelle, PayPal, if using PayPal the potential adopter will have to pay the fees & charges with PayPal. Our sweet Alex originally was rescued by a rescuer from a slaughterhouse along with countless other dogs. Unfortunately this rescuer got in over their heads & abandoned all the dogs including Alex in a warehouse type of situation with no water, no food, no bedding no nothing. Alex along with all the other dogs had to fend for themselves. Our amazing rescuer has been going in & feeding who is left while they continue to rescue as many as they possibly can. Alex then ended up staying at our rescuers base & ended up for a short time in a foster home in China with other dogs. Working with one of our truly devoted, dedicated & absolutely outstanding Chinese rescuers she rescued Alex & many others for us. Without this beloved rescuer going & helping Alex we know what his fate would have been. We believe every sweet soul such as Alex & his friends deserves to be loved & cherished & given the chance to have a wonderful life. Now Alex is looking for a special family to cherish him & be patient with him & remember what this beautiful soul has been through & a family that meets all his needs. Alex was rescued by our truly amazing Chinese rescue friends & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Chinese rescue who we are so extremely thankful for what they do day in & day out for these babies, we cannot thank them enough. Alex was bought back to the USA where he is now a US citizen & is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find his new loving devoted forever home. Alex is truly a survivor this boy to fend for himself for who knows how long & still be so sweet is unbelievable. Once rescued & taken to the vets it was discovered that Alex has site & hearing impairment. He was born that way. When he first arrived in his foster home he was a little shy & uncertain but very sweet. Now, what a difference this boy is. He has adjusted to his loving foster home, he still runs & plays & now loves his toys. He just wants you to love him & he will love you back. Our vet said during his wellness exam that Alex could easily have a thriving happy life in spite of his impairment. Alex’s loving foster dad says he sees shadows & light & hears some pitches fairly well. He doesn’t bump into things, he is aware of surroundings. With love, patience & treats, Alex will be someone’s “best dog ever” He adores being hugged & held because the reality is his foster family are the first in his life to show him such true love & affection. When he finds people who love him they become his world. He is a very sweet little guy & transitioned quite quickly even with the change in language. He will also want to cuddle in bed with you & sleeps with his foster dad on the bed with him. He now loves to run & play with his foster siblings at first he had no clue what to do & must go to a home with an understanding dog. He is a very big player & gets so excited with playing. Alex eats a clean diet, meaning raw fruits, raw vegetables, 70 % raw proteins, grains, fats & supplements. He also enjoys collagen sticks & bully sticks. He is absolutely obsessed with his food & we can’t stress that enough. All of his treats are homemade Alex has been taught to walk on harness & leash & has been doing wonderful. He would need continued work walking on his harness & leash. Alex is a rescue & will need patience, time & understanding. Alex adores being pampered & doesn’t want you to stop when brushing him, cleaning his eyes, grooming him, baths, the hairdryer he loves it all. Having toys & a warm bed is all new to Alex & we have been excited to change his world with the introduction of toys & lots of love & affection & a loving environment. He now loves his toys in his foster home. Alex has learnt to ride in the car & does well in the car & enjoys a good car ride. He is such an amazing, loving little lad. With Alex we are only looking for a crate free home for this lovely little lad only. Please do not apply with the intent to crate this boy. He does not like crates especially after everything he has been through. We are also looking for a forever home for Alex where someone is home during the day or Alex can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. Did we mention this boy loves a good outfit too. Alex is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be very patient with him & understanding. Alex has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs & enjoys their company in his loving foster home. In China he had been with over 1000 dogs. He can be found at times snuggled up to his foster siblings. He is currently fostered with other corgis. A fully fenced backyard is mandatory for Alex’s new forever home if it’s a free standing home. Alex is now roughly 19.3 lbs & 1.6 years old & a cardigan corgi & what he is mixed with we are not sure? He is site & vision impaired. He is microchipped, up to date on his shots including DHLPP, rabies & dewormed. Once these shots expire we will not redo them except rabies as we will not over vaccinate our beloved dogs. We have spent over $2000 on Alex with bringing him to the US with his travel airfare paying for his medical care, including, shots, neuter microchip etc, than his adoption fee comes close to covering. Alex has not been around cats since being in the rescue but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals. We have not had Alex with small children so we do not recommend children, but it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & animals. We were not there when Alex was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Alex friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Alex potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Alex & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit using Zoom followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Alex who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this lovely sweet boy. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. Alex has an adoption fee of $850 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.
