Story
We got Lizzie from someone who rescued her off the side of the road. She was severely malnourished. We live on 25 acres and she has been great, along with our other dogs, at deterring predators and pests (coyotes, armadillos, moles, etc.). But she goes after livestock birds and cats like a wolf. I can not train her out of it. I was willing to be patient as we lost chickens on occasion but she got into our neighbor's ducks. I cannot afford to fence 25 acres and she is not happy being tied to a running lead while our other dogs have the run of the place. I think she could be content in a yard or even in a home. She is generally very receptive to training but just has a high prey instinct that I cannot overcome. Unless she is hunting prey, she comes very consistently when called. Since she has been tied up she has developed a habit of jumping up on me but is never aggressive with people. She has never nipped at or even growled at a person. She is such a sweet dog. I wish we could keep her

Story
Scout is a 2 year old husky mix. She is very sweet and would do best in a home that can give her time to play and exercise on a regular basis. She loves playing in the snow, playing with her favorite plushie toys, and then taking a nap on the couch with you. She does great with other dogs and loves going to daycare while you’re at work. She loves to be in on the action, go on car rides, run errands together, and just likes to know what you’re up to. She isn’t a fan of being left home alone. However, when you go somewhere she isn’t able to join, she is crate trained and doesn’t mind to spend some quality time with her favorite bone!

Story
Meet Archie Some dogs spend their lives waiting to find a family. Archie found his... and then life changed. Due to circumstances completely beyond anyone's control, Archie's family reached out for help because they knew he deserved more than they could provide right now. A dog who has always known the comfort of living indoors is now spending his days tied outside, and it's been especially hard on this sweet, gentle boy. At 9–10 years old, Archie still has so much love to give. He's healthy, doing well, and has the kind of calm, loyal personality that only comes with age. If you're looking for a dog who wants nothing more than to be by your side, Archie is your guy. He's a giant lap dog at heart who thinks cuddles are one of life's greatest joys. He has grown up alongside children, has peacefully lived around cats (he simply ignores them), and does well with other friendly dogs, especially smaller dogs. He rides great in the car, enjoys being with his people, and gives the very best hugs and affection. Archie isn't looking for adventure—he's looking for comfort. A soft bed. A family to love. A place where he can spend his golden years exactly as every dog deserves: safe, cherished, and inside with the people he loves. His family made the heartbreaking decision to ask for help because they love him enough to put his needs first. Now we're hoping someone will open their heart and give Archie the happy ending he deserves. Could you be the one to write the final chapter of Archie's story? We promise it will be filled with unconditional love. ##2803370##

Story
Meet Alina Alina's story is one of resilience, hope, and unconditional love. This beautiful young girl spent the beginning of her life chained outside, even giving birth to her puppies during last winter's icy, snowy weather. Despite everything she's endured, Alina has never stopped believing in people. She greets each day with a wagging tail, a loving heart, and an eagerness to make her humans happy. Alina is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and loves being with her people. She is eager to please and enjoys learning, making her a wonderful companion for a family willing to continue showing her how wonderful life can be. She gets along well with other friendly dogs after proper introductions. We're unsure how she feels about cats, but we're happy to cat-test her for the right potential adopter. Alina walks nicely on a leash, is doing well with house training, and is thriving in foster care. She has also started heartworm treatment and is doing great! Please don't let that discourage you from considering her. We are covering all costs related to her heartworm treatment, including future testing and follow-up care, so her adopter or foster won't have to worry about those expenses. She is handling treatment beautifully and continues to be the happy, loving girl she's always been. She doesn't let her past define her. Instead, she chooses love every single day. After spending her entire life on a chain, she is finally discovering soft beds, kind hands, and the joy of being part of a family. Now all she needs is someone who will show her what it's like to be cherished instead of forgotten. If you're looking for a loyal best friend with a heart as beautiful as her face, Alina is waiting to meet you. Could you be the one to give this amazing girl the forever home she's always deserved? ##2803319##

Story
Kira is a super sweet and loving girl. She loves attention and affection and she will follow you around. Sometimes she forgets what personal space is! I don't know if she ever lived in a home before or really got to be a dog. She acts very young and is learning a lot. She has learned how to sit and learned the dog door. She was not housebroken, but she is doing great with that now as well. She might have an accident or two until she gets on your routine. She does well in a crate and hasn't had any accidents in there. She will cry for a few minutes when she first goes in, but quiets down quickly. Her foster siblings have helped her learn how to play with other dogs and she loves it. She also loves chew toys. She has met the cat and she is a little nervous of her. She might chase a cat that runs away but does fine with cats that are calm around dogs. She is very treat motivated and can learn quickly. Being that she is still young, she will sometimes try to chew on blankets amd house shoes, and sometimes needs redirection. She does great in a fenced backyard and has not attempted any escapes. She needs some work on leash walking. She is a wonderful girl and will make someone an amazing pet!
