Story
We have had Ailoy for a few years now. She is a wonderful girl and so sweet. She was adopted from a hard situation and can be very timid. But she’s never been aggressive. She loves being with other dogs and is very sweet with children. Since we had our baby however, she has gotten very anxious and been unable to remain out of her crate when we are away from home which is about 9 hours a day. She would flourish in a calm environment where walks and schedule are very consistent and her natural curiosity and mischievous nature can be entertained and nourished in a better way. We feel she would do better in a home where people are around more often and she is able to relax and receive all the love and care she deserves.

Story
Merlot was adopted in 2022 from Houston, Texas. She was born Feb. 5,2021. Merlot is a very good girl and has been a beloved family dog for almost 4 years now. It breaks our hearts that we have to rehome her. Unfortunately, she needs to be in a single dog household. We have three other dogs and over the years she keeps attacking the other dogs. She has food aggression as well. We have taken her to extensive dog training and while it helped in the short term, she still has her moments of aggression. We recently were blessed with two babies and while Merlot has never been anything but loving towards our children, we fear they might accidentally get hurt if they get caught between the dogs if a fight breaks out or if they try to get close to her when food is around. She has growled at us if we try to take certain items, like bones, away and with our sons getting bigger and more mobile we just don't feel safe keeping her any longer. We love her and wish it didn't have to come to this.

Story
🐾 Meet Kevin! 🐾 Kevin is a 11-month-old Great Pyrenees/husky/shepherd mix. Kevin is a lovable, people-oriented pup who wants nothing more than to be by your side. With his gentle nature and sweet personality, he wins over everyone he meets. He’s very food-motivated (treats are definitely the key to his heart!) and happily trots into his crate—especially if there’s a snack involved. Kevin enjoys playing with his dog friends, going on longer walks to explore the world, and curling up for cozy naps on his bed. He truly believes he’s a lap dog and will gladly snuggle up if you let him. While Kevin is well-behaved and keeps his paws to himself, he does have a silly streak—he loves ripping up paper and big stuffed toys. Give him a durable plush, and he’ll be entertained for ages! Kevin would thrive in a home that appreciates a loyal companion with a goofy, affectionate spirit. If you’re looking for a friendly dog who brings both fun and snuggles, Kevin is your guy. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and up-to-date on heartworm, flea and tick prevention. He is being fostered in Huntsville, Alabama. 🐕✨ 📍 Apply here: www.forrescue.net

Meet Nova! Nova is a beautiful, one-year-old husky with the sweetest soul. She is incredibly loving and thrives when she’s around her people — whether that’s going for walks, hanging out at home, or just being part of the action. She has a fun, playful personality and keeps you laughing with her expressions and classic husky attitude. Nova is eager to learn, people-oriented, and a joy to work with. She already knows basic commands including sit, shake, and touch, Nova is doing very well with both potty training and kennel training and has adapted quickly to a home environment. She also loves playing with toys and chewing on bones. She gets along well with other dogs and would be happy with a canine companion or as the center of attention in her new home. True to her breed, Nova has the classic husky “woo” and loves to talk to her people. Nova will thrive in an active home where she can get regular exercise, as she truly enjoys staying busy. She would make a great hiking, walking, or adventure buddy. Story
Olivia was born on 11-27-2023, so she's a little over two years old. She lived here her whole life. She has many siblings, most of which are up for adoption as well (in case you'd like to adopt one alongside her, no pressure though.) She enjoys being outside and doesn't mind the cold. One thing I love about her is her heterochromia (different colored eyes). One of her eyes is white, and it just makes her look so crazy, in a goofy way.
