Story
Steele is a rough and rowdy boy with a big personality and an even bigger love for toys and swimming pools. This handsome husky mix doesn't always realize his own strength and has a knack for turning a quiet walk or relaxing evening into an invitation for playtime. With his classic husky mouthiness and playful antics, Steele is always trying to convince you that life is more fun with a game or two. Beneath all that energy is a sweet, affectionate boy who gently takes treats, enjoys romping with his four legged friends, and has perfected the art of dramatically flopping onto his back for belly rubs. Steele is a quirky jack-of-all-trades who brings plenty of laughter and love wherever he goes. Steele would thrive with a family that understands his breed and is ready to provide the structure, patience, and enrichment he needs as he learns the ropes of home life. In return, you'll gain a loyal adventure buddy, an expert goofball, and a best friend who will keep life exciting every single day.

The adoption fee for this pet covers the cost of care which may have been for several weeks or several months depending on the health and other needs. The fee also covers all vet bills during this time to ensure his/her health is improved or maintained and provides you with assurance that this dog has been well cared for while in our possession and evaluated to meet your home's needs. Included in this fee is also life- long training support provided by PLAY! K9 Academy located in Parrish, FL as well as Life time microchip registration. When you adopt from a local shelter, you may not receive any medical history for this dog nor will you receive any behavioral history. We hope you understand that the minimal adoption fee we are asking is to continue our mission to rescue unwanted herding and working breeds from shelters/owners and get them adopted to their forever home.

Story
Bravo is a great dog. He was rescued 10 years ago from a home that was unable to keep in inside their house, and has enjoyed the past decade living in various apartments and homes. As Bravo is aging, he is still spunky - but is actively losing his hearing. This has led to him startling when being woken, and fearfully reacting. He has lived with other dogs and a cat with minimal issues up until his hearing loss. All he wants to do is sleep, go on walks, and sunbathe. He allows petting in increments, and has no problem letting you know when he’s done. He is sweet, but can be mischievous (he loves to steal a napkin or two and not give it back.)We are devastated that we need to re-home our boy as we have a 1.5 year old child that we do not want to risk invading Bravo’s space ,and having anyone get hurt. We believe he would do great in a home without kids as an only child where he can live out his golden years in an environment that he can enjoy his own space and thrive.
