Story
I am a charming and loving senior boy who, unfortunately, ended up in the shelter after being found as a stray. But I should humbly mention that I am a very handsome gentleman and seem to be already house-trained! I have one blue eye and one brown eye, which is just one of my many unique qualities. I enjoy going for walks and playing in the water! I am just a gentle giant looking for my forever home and loving family. I may be older, but I have a lot of love and affection to give. If you have some space in your home and heart for a loving, loyal companion with a calm, mellow temperament, I would love nothing more than to be your new adventure buddy and forever best friend!A volunteer took him to the beach for a day out, and he did great! He loved the water!Weighs around 98 lbs - House-trained! - Sweet, affectionate boy. - Good with children!A few things to know: Chai shows some reactivity toward other dogs when in his kennel, but barrier reactivity isn`t always the full picture, he hasn`t been tested in a neutral playgroup setting, so his true comfort level with other dogs is still unknown. He does have a prey drive toward birds and small animals, making a cat-free home the safest bet. What we can say with confidence is that he is wonderful with children and has proven it time and time again at outreach events.

Story
Padme is a bit shy and cautious. She loves pets and will put your hands and arm on her to force you to pet her. Padme has run with Mom and does really well. She can generally handle longer activities as long as it’s not too hot. She has a very high prey drive and will go after other small animals. She would not be a good fit for someone with cats and small pets. She prefers to be chased by the kids. This game she can play until the kids are worn out. She loves pets and will put your hands and arm on her to force you to pet her.

Story
Malakai is an 8-year-old Husky/Malamute mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He loves spending time with his people, relaxing near his family, and enjoying the comforts of home. He is a loyal companion who thrives on attention, routine, and being included in daily life.As he has gotten older, he has become more selective about other dogs and would do best as the only dog in the home or with an experienced owner who can carefully manage introductions and interactions. Because of this, we are looking for a home where he can have the space, stability, and individualized attention he deserves. He is looking for a family that understands northern breeds and can appreciate his intelligence, independence, and affectionate nature. This decision has not been made lightly, and our greatest hope is to find him a loving home where he can enjoy his golden years surrounded by people who will cherish him as much as we do.

Story
She is extremely smart and loves to run and play! She knows how to sit, down, leave-it, stay, spin around, paw shake and speak! She loves attention and to have her ears / head neck rubbed. She has lot of great qualities, is a such a beautiful dog and has so much love to give!!! (and definitely loves getting it!) Now for the reason for rehoming: Not good with small children. she will be reactive, barking and can act aggressive towards them. She loves to go for walks on her leash, but will react to other dogs/cats,. She has been trained, and she does very well with the command "by me". We have drastically changed our life style this past year, moving my elderly parents in with us and now have a new grandbaby. She was so used to hiking and doing a lot of outdoor activities and more active lifestyle that we no longer can give her. We Love her and want the best for her!! Please contact us with any questions! Story
This if Frankie. She is a 6 year old Shepherd Husky mix. She was adopted at age 1 from a rescue in Virginia. Frankie had severe anxiety issues upon adoption. Over the years it has tremendously leveled out but she still has some nerves when left alone for long periods. She does best outside of crate. She does do well with certain dogs who are not dominant, and very friendly playful dogs, usually smaller dogs or males. She needs a fenced in yard and an active lifestyle. She is a dog who is best being side by side doing everything with you. She’s great and obedient. Good at outdoor restaurants. Loves the beach and hiking. She used to be off leash trained but hasn’t been off leash in 2 years. She is also occasionally incontinent due to her spay and breed. We unfortunately have to rehome her and our golden doodle due to our daughter’s severe allergies.Flexible on adoption fee

Story
Mandarin is a confident, soulful girl who does things on her own terms — and we respect it. Part Chow Chow, she`s not the type to perform for strangers, but invest a little time, and you`ll find a genuinely cooperative, affectionate companion waiting on the other side of that trust. She knows `sit` and likely `come,` and her food motivation makes bonding and training a natural process for a patient adopter. She loves long walks, gets the zoomies in the yard, and lights up around other dogs. Once she`s decided you`ve earned it, expect deep neck scratches and quiet, steady companionship from a dog who truly means it.Mandarin isn`t looking for a perfect adopter — she`s looking for the right one.Weighs around 50 lbs
