Story
Altoona IOWA Rambo is with me after his previous pet parent (family member of mine) passed away from cancer. I am a dog trainer and have known Rambo for 2 years. He is a very sweet dog and has been with us for a month now and is very easy to live with. I will sponsor additional training with me for free. He kennels well in a standard wire crate, is good with our (teenage) kids. Has some training. Walks decent on leash. Takes treats gently. Rides well in car. Rambo only has two "problems." 1) NOT good with cats/prey drive. Will not adopt to a home with cats unless you are also a very dog savvy pet professional. 2) there is some *mild* resource guarding that is already getting much better with some training.Rambo is happy to have a lazy day with you or to go camping and hiking. He really is a good buddy! Previous owner worked A LOT before health decline so a typical work life from a new parent would not be an issue. He will make someone a really great companion. 65 lbs. but should be ~60

Story
Hi! I'm Hamlet! I'm a 3-year-old black-and-white Husky mix with one blue eye and one eye that's half blue and half brown—so I'm pretty hard to forget! I'm a happy, friendly guy who loves making new friends, whether they're people or other dogs. I enjoy car rides, walks, and being included in whatever my family is doing. At the end of the day, my favorite thing is having everyone together before I happily tuck myself into my crate for the night. I'm also a pretty smart cookie! I love learning and pick up new tricks so fast that my foster family says they've run out of things to teach me. I thrive on training, consistency, and having a job to do. When it's time to play, I'm all in! I love durable toys (stuffed toys don't stand a chance!) and can't wait to be more active once I finish my heartworm treatment. I've also been working hard on my leash manners and have become a really enjoyable walking buddy. I'm fully housebroken and love hanging out in my crate with the door open, though I'd much rather have the freedom to relax nearby when my family is away. I've done a great job learning what's mine and what's not, and I'm eager to keep making my people proud. Whether I join a home with another playful dog or become your one-and-only, I'll be a loyal companion who's happiest just being part of the family. If you're looking for a smart, playful boy with one-of-a-kind eyes and an even bigger heart, I think we'd make a pretty great team. Love, Hamlet

Story
Hi, I’m Sky Blue! I am a 10-year-old Siberian Husky Yes, I know… the blue eyes are pretty impressive. But I promise, my personality is even better. I’m a sweet, loyal, easygoing guy who loves being close to my people. I’ll happily follow you around the house, lean against you for affection, and settle at your feet just to make sure you’re never too far away. I do great with other dogs and currently have a foster sister. We’re buddies, but we also understand the importance of personal space. Very mature of us. I’m housebroken, crate trained, trustworthy in the house, and always ready for a car ride. I also love spending time outside in a fenced yard, especially if there are deer around for me to supervise. I can be a little picky about food and a little opinionated when I want something. What can I say? I’m a Husky. At 10 years young, I’m not looking for anything complicated. I just want a comfy bed, a safe home, someone to follow around, and a person who won’t mind having a handsome shadow by their side. I still have plenty of love, laughs, and Husky conversations left in me. Maybe you’re the person who gets to say, “You’re home, Sky.”
