Story
Luna is a very loving and wants nothing more than to love on you. She was a rescue at 6 months old. Luna likes long walks and loves to run. She got out one November and we thought something happened to her after a month. We ended up getting a female Great Pyrenees puppy and required another Pyr from the shelter. Then 18 months later out of the blue Luna shows up at the shelter in Barrow County. We love having Luna but having 2 large dogs and her has been tough. She doesn’t get along with the female and there have been multiple altercations. We want all the dogs to live their best lives and want to find Luna a good home. The Pyrs both came to us as puppies so we are all they know. Breaks my heart but I know Luna will love whoever she ends up with and is nothing but a joy. She loves to cuddle and always has a goofy grin on her face. She also talks sometimes and says, “I Love You”. She does well with male dogs and dogs around the same size as here. Let us know if you have any questions!

Story
🌷Sweet Husky Misa is looking for her forever🌷Misa is a 7 year old, 55 pound Husky who is currently in a temporary foster home. She is ready for her forever soul-human to find her and care for her during her best years! Read what Misa's foster mom has to say about her below, and if you're looking for a calm, laid-back girl, she is perfect!"Misa is the absolute best girl. She will quietly ask for pets and give the sweetest little kisses. She spends a lot of her time sleeping and she loves to be outside even when the temps are low. She is a cold-weather-loving girl! I bring her to work at my office and she is a perfect pup. She does not bark. She just lays by my feet and walks around to get pets from staff. We have found that Misa may have a bit of trouble hearing. A vet has recently started treating her for an ear infection, and we've noticed some improvement in her hearing since then. She has some mobility issues in her back legs. She does not do well going up and down stairs, but she gets by with a little help from her friends.Misa is also urine incontinent. Our vet put her on Proin and this has helped. We still put a diaper on her at night. Not gonna lie, she's pretty adorable walking around the house in a diaper.🥹This little girl deserves the world and someone that will take care of her. We love her and we know her forever human is out there somewhere!"Misa is being temporarily fostered for the Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter. If you'd like to meet Misa, let us know by filling out an application here, and we'll reach out to schedule a meet and greet --> https://www.moaspets.com/adoptionappPlease call the shelter at (706) 795-2868 to schedule a meet and greet.Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter is a non-profit shelter serving over 720 square miles. We are open intake, meaning we can not turn away animals from either county we serve. Our shelter intakes double or triple it's capacity every month so it is essential we place animals quickly into adoptive homes. Since so many animals enter the shelter we often don't have enough volunteers to write an individual bio for each. Please feel free to call the shelter Wednesday-Sunday to inquire about the animal you are interested in. 706-795-2868.Viewing and adoption hours at our shelter are Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM. All adoption fees include age-appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, and spay or neuter, microchip, and adoption packet. Fees:Dogs over 6 months old: $100Puppies under 6 months: $200. Cats and Kittens are $75 ($65 without microchip). For your convenience you can fill out an adoption application for any of our current residents at www.moaspets.com. Join us on Facebook athttps://www.facebook.com/moaspets. It's a great way to stay up to the minute on the furry 4 legged friends we have looking for a loving forever home. We are located at:1888 Colbert Danielsville Rd Danielsville, GA 30633 706-795-2868NOTE: Our adoptions are first come first served, simply filling out an application does not mean the animal will be held for you, you must come meet the animal in person in order to be considered for adoption. If you rent you must bring your lease or a letter from your landlord stating you may adopt.
