Story
🌷Sweet Husky Misa is looking for her forever🌷Misa is a 7 year old, 55 pound Husky who is currently in a temporary foster home. She is ready for her forever soul-human to find her and care for her during her best years! Read what Misa's foster mom has to say about her below, and if you're looking for a calm, laid-back girl, she is perfect!"Misa is the absolute best girl. She will quietly ask for pets and give the sweetest little kisses. She spends a lot of her time sleeping and she loves to be outside even when the temps are low. She is a cold-weather-loving girl! I bring her to work at my office and she is a perfect pup. She does not bark. She just lays by my feet and walks around to get pets from staff. We have found that Misa may have a bit of trouble hearing. A vet has recently started treating her for an ear infection, and we've noticed some improvement in her hearing since then. She has some mobility issues in her back legs. She does not do well going up and down stairs, but she gets by with a little help from her friends.Misa is also urine incontinent. Our vet put her on Proin and this has helped. We still put a diaper on her at night. Not gonna lie, she's pretty adorable walking around the house in a diaper.🥹This little girl deserves the world and someone that will take care of her. We love her and we know her forever human is out there somewhere!"Misa is being temporarily fostered for the Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter. If you'd like to meet Misa, let us know by filling out an application here, and we'll reach out to schedule a meet and greet --> https://www.moaspets.com/adoptionappPlease call the shelter at (706) 795-2868 to schedule a meet and greet.Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter is a non-profit shelter serving over 720 square miles. We are open intake, meaning we can not turn away animals from either county we serve. Our shelter intakes double or triple it's capacity every month so it is essential we place animals quickly into adoptive homes. Since so many animals enter the shelter we often don't have enough volunteers to write an individual bio for each. Please feel free to call the shelter Wednesday-Sunday to inquire about the animal you are interested in. 706-795-2868.Viewing and adoption hours at our shelter are Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM. All adoption fees include age-appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, and spay or neuter, microchip, and adoption packet. Fees:Dogs over 6 months old: $100Puppies under 6 months: $200. Cats and Kittens are $75 ($65 without microchip). For your convenience you can fill out an adoption application for any of our current residents at www.moaspets.com. Story
Dozer doesn’t just `like` people; he experiences them with his whole soul. He is a high-energy athlete who loves to run, making him the ultimate companion for a jogger or a family with a big backyard. But here’s the kicker: once he’s done sprinting, he goes straight in for the hug. Dozer is a world-class snuggler who genuinely believes he is a 10-pound lap dog, completely unaware of his own impressive size.If you know, you know! Dozer is a master of the `corncob` that adorable, gentle nibbling dogs do with their front teeth when they are excited or showing affection. It’s his signature move, a quirky little way of saying, `You’re my person and I’m so happy you’re here.`Because Dozer is a `bull in a china shop` of affection and doesn`t quite understand his own strength, he’s a perfect match for older children who can handle his enthusiastic leans and zoomies.Dozer has `Lap Dog` Delusion. His forever family should be prepared for a dog who will try to squeeze onto any sofa, chair, or human lap available.

Story
Conchita is 6 years old, born in spring of 2019. She was not professionally trained, but she is a well mannered dog. She never poops or pees in the house. She is a very calm and quiet husky. She rarely howls and she doesn’t get zoomies like a normal husky. She knows simple commands like sit and paw. Unfortunately we can no longer keep her since our new landlord does not accept pets in residence. We are greatly saddened by this decision, but hope to find her a new loving home.
