Story
Do you like the idea of having a Husky who's a more compact size and not quite as high energy as a traditional Husky? If so, then Sachy might be the one for you! She’s a Husky mix and we are guessing her secondary breed is Corgi. Sachy is a happy, social girl who loves everyone she meets. This playful yet gentle girl is highly intelligent, affectionate, and has 10 out of 10 loyalty (we give her 11+). Sachy was surrendered to DRDR when her human died unexpectedly. We know she was loved and well cared for as she knows basic commands like sit, paw, and stay. She is also crate trained, rides great in a car, walks well on a leash, and doesn't mess with anything at her foster’s house (except dog toys) when they are out running errands. She loves relaxing anywhere including: her crate, front porches, back decks, and couches. Her favorite place is at the top of outdoor stairs to observe nature around her. If you accidentally leave the trunk of your car open, she will make that a place to perch too! Sachy would love either a family with school-aged kids and a backyard where she can play with them and relax in the sun, or with an adult who enjoys daily walks and routine walking adventures. Sachy is a good reader of other dogs by giving them the space they need accordingly and happy to play with them when they’re ready! Sachy not only has two separately colored eyes, but her left eye is 2/3rds brown and 1/3rd blue! This mixture of two colors within a single eye is called sectoral heterochromia (in case you were wondering). She is truly unique! She is current on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped and ready for her forever family. To meet or adopt Sachy, complete an adoption application at dirtroaddoggiesrescue.org. ##1716588##

Story
We got lola from a friend because she was moving and we are fostering her. She is 7 years old the sweetest girl gets along with dogs cats and kids. Lola is great on and leash, and a really good listener. She is overweight but loves to play. Potty trained and crate trained. I wish I could keep her but I have 4 dogs and it getting crowded. Lola has not barked or howled since we got her. She would be a perfect fit in anyones home because she is very low maintenance. Does not bite furniture. Lola is a VERY good girl. She loves playing with other dogs. She really is the perfect dog. The fee for Lola will be donated to a shelter or I can buy $100 worth of food and toys and give it to you for Lola.

Story
Hurts my heart to have to rehome Ace but my one year old has developed an allergy with his saliva and fur and I just cant let it get worse. Ace is an extremely sweet and caring dog. He’ll be 8 years old in November. He is a husky so he can be quite the escape artist so he’ll need to be in a home with a secure fenced backyard. He also has separation anxiety and will need to be kenneled if he’s going to be alone for a long period of time. I have a high anxiety kennel which he loves! He’s very good on the leash and very well trained. He’s great with other dogs but he is vocal at first so easing him into any new dogs would be best. Again, he’s a husky so he sheds quite a bit but having him groomed every 6-8 weeks makes an HUGE difference in his shedding.
