Scout was born with a birth defect making his face a little different than others. Sometimes other dogs don't know how to take him because of his defect, but Scout LOVES people and seems to like other dogs as well. He loves to play with toys and will even play by himself with his toys. If you are interested in adopting please email BRagan@morgancountyga.gov or call 706-752-1197.

TogoHusky Male DOB: 03/21/2023Adoption Fee: $200Hi there, my name is Togo! Yep, I'm named after that famous sled dog. I may not pull sleds, but I'm the best cuddler you'll find. I love to talk, so I hope you are willing to listen to what I have to say. I am a bit shy and uncertain about new people and things, but I have lots of love to give. I just need someone who will be patient with me, and I will be your best friend. Do you think I could be your new family member? Stop by and see me, maybe you'll fall in love. I mean, just look at these baby blues, right? Please read the animal bios completely before requesting additional information as we do our best to answer the most frequently ask questions in these bios. In order to adopt one of our animals an application must be submitted and approved. You can find these applications by going to http://humanemorgan.org/index.php?page=adoption ABOUT ADOPTING FROM THE HSMC: The shelter address is 1170 Fairground Rd. Madison, GA 30650. All dogs are heartworm negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. All cats are FeLv/FIV negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. We are open 10am-5pm Monday-Saturday, we schedule our last adoption at 4pm everyday to allow our staff enough time to feed and walk dogs. We are an animal shelter and therefore are not able to individually potty train our residents. Many adult dogs do arrive “house broken” however due to animal behavior any change in environment will make an emotional impact on the animals and therefore initiate unwanted behaviors during the acclamation period. Please keep this in mind. Puppies do not have the biological maturity to maintain absolute bladder or bowel control and will require a certain degree of potty training and house breaking. Please consider the time and commitment it takes to provide the necessary building blocks for these special babies, prior to submitting your application. If you have any questions please email us at info@humanemorgan.org and provide name of the animal you are interested in, in the subject line. Thank you, HSMC Staff ADOPTION FEES Adoption Fees may change without notice. Please contact Andrea (andrea@focusonthedetails.com) for more information about this pet.Application is required - Please go to www.ppnk.orgAdoption fee sponsoredChance is a senior boy who was owner surrendered to the shelter at 10+ years old, and his foster saw his snowy face and just couldn’t let that be the end of his story. He’s been in his foster home about two months now and gained a few needed pounds. He is housebroken and crate trained, very respectful of the foster’s boisterous Rottweilers, completely ignores the cats, and is a laid back, earnest, and polite gentleman. He would prefer to always be with his person, and will follow you (quietly and politely) from room to room, relaxing once you sit down and settle in. He sleeps like the dead, with a perfect (and yet somehow, still polite) snore to let you know he has reached ultimate relaxation. His ideal home would have someone home most of the time for him to watch over, and a big plush bed for his naps. All our animals receive professional veterinary attention including spay/neuter, testing, vaccination, deworming, food and shelter. We only rescue from Animal Control and cannot accept lost, hurt or unwanted pets from individuals.  We are a licensed non-profit no-kill shelter.May 5, 2024, 9:34 pm

Story
Code Red. Foster, foster to adopt, or adopter needed immediately. Looking for a fun, easy going pal? C is your guy!! This guy is ~3 yrs old, 70 lbs, All vetted C is a typical German Shepherd/Siberian Husky mix with the smarts and eager to please GSD attributes combined with the Husky 'class clown' personality. He is very people oriented, friendly, eager to please, knows most of his basic commands, walks OK on leash and loves attention. He is quite the 'talker' and will sass you back whenever things are not being done to his satisfaction - LOL. Like most Huskies, he will escape given the opportunity and needs plenty of exercise. C is playful with most other (medium to large) dogs. Would also be happy as only pet. Adoption Fees Adoption fees help cover expenses for all the dogs while in the rescue program including the vet check, microchip, vaccines, heartworm testing, fecal check, broken bones, illness, spay/neuter plus other necessary veterinary care with medications and training to get the dog ready for adoption. Everyone must submit an application before an appointment is made to come and meet the dogs. We work BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Interested in this dog? Please request an application from Lenore, send an email to darkrain1234@gmail.comMay 6, 2024, 7:06 pm
