Story
🌲💙 Meet Koda - Our Calm & Regal Husky King 💙🌲Koda has been with us just over a week, and we can’t believe this gorgeous boy hasn’t been scooped up yet. At 6 years old, he’s the perfect blend of maturity and adventure. He's housebroken, intelligent, and deeply connected to the world around him.✨ Why we love Koda: He has the stunning good looks of a classic Husky with icy blue eyes, and he’s highly intelligent and curious about everything around him. He’s housebroken and well-mannered and talks in that classic Husky way that makes you feel like you’re having a real conversation. Despite his chatty nature, he’s calm-spirited and royally chill...truly a king of good vibes. We've seen him interact with a child calmly, and he's shown no obvious aggression towards other dogs around him, though he hasn't been officially dog tested yet.Koda isn’t super into treats. He’s more motivated by exploring, sniffing the breeze, and taking in his surroundings. He’s a thinker, a watcher, and the kind of dog who will bond deeply with his person.Koda’s one non-negotiable is he needs to be in a kitty-free home. If you’re looking for a companion who will take on the world at your side, quietly judge your life choices with those piercing blue eyes, and talk back just enough to keep things fun, Koda is your guy.Come by the Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter and ask staff to help you meet this boy. We're open Wednesday-Saturday, 12-5pm and Sunday, 12-4pm. You can complete an application online ahead of time and we'll help you schedule a meet and greet --> www.moaspets.comPlease call the shelter at (706) 795-2868 to schedule a meet and greet.Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter is a non-profit shelter serving over 720 square miles. We are open intake, meaning we can not turn away animals from either county we serve. Our shelter intakes double or triple it's capacity every month so it is essential we place animals quickly into adoptive homes. Since so many animals enter the shelter we often don't have enough volunteers to write an individual bio for each. Please feel free to call the shelter Wednesday-Sunday to inquire about the animal you are interested in. 706-795-2868.Viewing and adoption hours at our shelter are Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM. All adoption fees include age-appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, and spay or neuter, microchip, and adoption packet. Fees:Dogs over 6 months old: $100Puppies under 6 months: $200. Cats and Kittens are $75 ($65 without microchip). For your convenience you can fill out an adoption application for any of our current residents at www.moaspets.com. Join us on Facebook athttps://www.facebook.com/moaspets. It's a great way to stay up to the minute on the furry 4 legged friends we have looking for a loving forever home. We are located at:1888 Colbert Danielsville Rd Danielsville, GA 30633 706-795-2868NOTE: Our adoptions are first come first served, simply filling out an application does not mean the animal will be held for you, you must come meet the animal in person in order to be considered for adoption. If you rent you must bring your lease or a letter from your landlord stating you may adopt.

Story
Hey! My new name is Toasty, I forgot what my old name was 😅. My current daddy and mommy found me in the parking lot of their work back in August. I was in really bad shape. Since they found me, I’ve been doing so well! The vet thinks I am around 8-10 years old. I have heartworms and I was so weak when they found me, we have been doing the slow kill method with heartworm prevention. My kidney function has returned to normal and other than the heartworms, my thyroid is a little low, but the vet thinks that will get better with the heartworms. I’m nervous around strangers, but I warm up to people easily, I’m really laid back, calm, and I love to cuddle and go for walks. I am an escape artist! I can climb a chain link fence and I can’t be contained by a crate, and I’m a pro at opening an unlocked screen door. I’m super good with kids! Cats are cool but sometimes I can get a little overexcited with them. My daddy is really sad, but he says this is for the best. I do well with other dogs.

Story
Meet Ginger! Hi! I'm Ginger! I'm a 2-year-old mixed breed rescued from a pretty terrible backyard situation. I absolutely love other dogs and it's almost impossible to get a pic of me without one of my friends! Brandy, Susie, and I spend a lot of time cuddling, Panda is fun to play with, and I'm in love with Angus! The nice people here think I'd do best in a home with another puppy friend to teach me more about life as an inside doggo! I'm pretty shy because I was never taught that people are nice and care about me. But, I'm learning that there are good people in the world! I really enjoy getting treats from the volunteers who spend time with me at the farm. I'm a medium-sized girl, weighing in around 40 pounds, and I need someone who will be patient with me as I learn to be an inside dog. Are you my person? If you'd like to meet me, submit and app today! https://freedomfences.org/dog-adoption-application/
