Story
Meet Smoke! Smoke is a male, 1 year old, Siberian Husky mix . He is 65 pounds.Smoke arrived at the shelter as an owner surrender and is participating in our Adopt From Home program. Here is what his owner has to say about him. "Smoke is a loving, energetic, gentle pup. He loves fetch, running, and cuddles. He is gentle with humans but can be rough when playing with other animals. He is best for families with plenty of free time for him, active couples, or an active single person. That's Smoky. He will brighten your life." Smoke would benefit from more training and mental enrichment. Smoke will need an indoor home and a secure containment area to stay safe from wandering and escaping. Positive reinforcement, fear-free training will be needed. Daily exercise and mental enrichment will be very important. If you have other dogs in your home, we would be happy to arrange a meet and greet with your dog(s) to make sure everyone gets along. Smoke will need a home with no cats.Smoke is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, neutered, and ready to go home today! If you are interested in meeting Smoke, please contact Andrew at (208) 867-9096, text only, or email at drewnemecek@gmail.com.

Story
Meet Ireland, a 1-year-old Siberian Husky who's looking for her forever home. Ireland came to our shelter in need of help, with a large wound on her hip, believed to be from a gunshot. Despite her past traumas, Ireland is a very sweet dog who just needs patience and extra love.At one year old, Ireland is at a stage in her life where she can learn and adapt to her new surroundings. Ireland needs time and patience to acclimate, especially since she's not crate trained. Ireland does well with women and children but would prefer a home with kids who are not too loud or intrusive. Although she takes time to warm up to new people, especially men, she's been making progress in approaching them. However, it's important to respect her boundaries and let her come to you when she feels comfortable.Due to her past experiences, Ireland may exhibit fear around certain triggers, such as raised voices or sudden movements. It's crucial for potential adopters to be aware of her body language and not push her too far. If you're ready to provide Ireland with the patience, love, and understanding she needs, consider adopting her today. Let's give this sweet girl the forever home she deserves.Ireland will need an indoor home and a secure containment area to stay safe from wandering and escaping. Positive reinforcement, fear-free training will be needed. Daily exercise and mental enrichment will be very important. If you have other dogs in your home, we would be happy to arrange a meet and greet with your dog(s) to make sure everyone gets along.Ireland is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, spayed, and ready to go home today. The shelter is currently open by appointment only. Story
MEET TENOR & BASS! Would you like a pair of happy-go-lucky and playful dogs who will smother you with kisses, greet you at the door and smile at you much of the day? That's pretty much what you'll get if you foster or adopt Bass & Tenor, a very bonded pair of husky mixes. They are each about 4 years old, rescued from a shelter well over a year ago. We are determined to keep them together because they love each other so much. Bass is brown-and-white and weighs 55 lbs., and Tenor is tan-and-white and weighs 60 lbs. Both boys are active and fun pups who need people on the go! They play with each other for entertainment, but would love to go on walks and hikes or runs! They would thrive with an active person, people, or a family with older kids. They occasionally like to jump up and give kisses, so would do best in a home without smaller children. They are not super friendly with other dogs but will give you all the attention you need as they are so affectionate, loving and loyal. Please email for an application.

HI - I'M COTTON! I'm a 3-year-old pure white male Siberian Husky in need of a foster or forever home! I have gorgeous blue eyes! I was recently rescued from an overcrowded shelter, where I was kenneled with another male dog without any issue. I am dog friendly and people friendly, and a wonderful size -- I weigh only 45 lbs. Like most huskies I am not good with farm animals but would be a great addition to almost any home. I would do best with an active person or people who can get me the husky exercise I need. Please email for an application.

Story
Scout is a pure-bred Siberian Husky from Oklahoma. She is 10.5 years old, born in July 2013. For Scout’s new home, we are looking for a loving and active family to care for her. She is a happy girl who loves to go on walks, go to the dog park, and play with her owners. She likes children and does well with them and lets them play with her. Scout likes to play with toys with you, they are companions, and we put them away when we are done playing. She loves treats, ice, peanut butter and running! Even though she is a senior, vets often say she seems young! (Toys, crate, dog food bowls, nail clippers, soap, toothbrush/paste all included.)
