Meet Tacoma – Your Next Great Adventure Partner! 🐾 Looking for a clever, loving, and energetic companion? Say hello to Tacoma a stunning 3 year old Siberian Husky with brains, beauty, and a big heart! This sweet soul is as smart as they come—quick to learn, eager to please, and always thinking a few steps ahead. Tacoma would do best in a home as the only pet and with someone who is experienced in owning dogs. Due to my quick learning and smarts I'm kind of a big escape artist so a fence and supervision would be best for me.If you're looking for a dog who will keep you on your toes and make every day exciting, Tacoma might just be your perfect match.

Story
Hi I'm Rocky!!! I am a shepherd mix who came in through animal control, so my history is a mystery. I am the sweetest boy ever. I love to play with other dogs and love to cuddle up in your lap or next to you, but I do think I am a lap dog so be prepared. I also know sit, shake, heel, and high five, but I can be a little stubborn at times. I love to go for walks and sniff everything on the way. When you come and meet me I can be a little bit shy at first so please be patient with me. Please have the time, money, and energy to keep safe and healthy.

Story
Charlie was adopted as a puppy from a local breeder 6 years ago. He has been great with my family, but he has always been my dog. I am going to college in September, and my family will be unable to care for him, as they are moving into a new home and have far too busy of lives to care for a husky. He is a good boy, and I am praying that whoever comes to take him in happens to be deserving of a dog like him. He requires adventures and activity, which he has had very little of in recent months, I hope you can change that. This is a ridiculously hard decision for me to make, but I have been unable to fully meet his needs, and will soon be in a dorm thousands of miles away. I have no option, but I can pray that if I put up ads everywhere I will come across someone who fits the unique criteria of being a husky owner. If you feel led by this, please reach out and we can discuss it further.

Story
Meet Quota!   This boy came to us from SCRAPS after undergoing several weeks of crate rest, which he's officially graduated from and is slowly being allowed to exercise. He had a leg fracture on his right forelimb, and nearly faced amputation. The team at SCRAPS worked hard to save his leg and it seems to be a success so far. It's expected that he will continue to heal and will be able to hang onto his leg! He is currently receiving Dasquin joint supplements which he enjoys.  Quota has an estimated birthdate of 02/09/2022. He's a medium to large adult dog and weighs approximately 60lbs. Quota does well in his kennel and has had no potty accidents on his way out to the yard. His leash manners could use work, as he pulls fairly hard but does well with strong guidance some type of martingale or prong collar.  Quota has displayed strong prey drive, and will fixate on or chase small animals outside and inside the house, including cats. He redirects somewhat quickly with a verbal correction or squirt bottle but has never had access to the cats other than through the kennel. If his new family continues to work with him, he could excel at dog sports and would enjoy bike rides and other out door activities once he builds up his strength.   Quota will not do well in a home that does not plan to include him on activities and outings. He required a decent amount of enrichment and exercise to become calm so best not apply for him if you're looking for more of a couch potato. Quota does enjoy relaxing at home once he's gotten his energy out, however! He does currently display a bit of mouthyness when he's very excited or trying to engage in play with his foster. He takes corrections well in those situations and is learning what "no" means.  Quota does very well with other dogs, and we had shown us he also does well with children - he's a total lover! He does play very rough with other dogs so will need a dog-savy dog to live with. Once he's settled he has the sweetest personality, and really enjoys being right next to his people. Due to his reaction to the cats in his foster home, we must insist he go to a home with no cats or small animals.  Quota's adoption fee is $200. He comes home neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped.  If you are interested in adopting Quota, please begin by submitting an application at www.murcismission.org. Thank you!  ##2423466##

Story
Hi my name is Taichi, I'm a handsome boy with a colorful personality. I love walks and rolling around in the snow. I know commands sit, wait and take treats gently. I would probably do well with a female dog after a slow introduction. I arrived to CAC through my local animal control. I can climb a 6 foot fence, so an 8ft. fence or higher would best. I can be a bit standoffish when we first meet. However, once I trust you ,I would like to receive all the pets in the world and be your loyal sidekick. I love to spend quality time outside and would love to go for adventures. Please be sure you have the right amount of time space and resources to care for me for the rest of my life. Also, If you plan on adopting me it will be required that I take the 4 week training class offered here at CAC. The training will help us bond and grow together.
