Story
Dakota can definitely be described as a gentle giant. When he’s not running around outside and sniffing every inch of the earth he knows, he’s a big softie who loves to snuggle in his favorite human’s lap. He enjoys (and is very good) playing fetch, indoors or outdoors. After getting all his energy out, he really is just a relaxed, polite pup. Personality & Traits ~Energy Level: High ~Great with: Active family; Adults ~Loves: Squeaky plush toys, beef liver treats, and car rides. ~Good to Know: Dakota does best with a secure harness, so we highly recommend having one ready to go at the time of adoption. Best Home For Me Dakota would thrive with an experienced dog owner who allows him the space and activities to release some energy. He would love to join you on your next walk or run, be by your side while you clean at home (maybe tossing him a toy plushie from time to time) and admire you giving him head scratches before bedtime.

Meet Gnocchi! This adorable Husky pup is the most playful, kind, and loving girl at the rescue! Gnocchi is full of personality — goofy, energetic, and always ready for fun. She loves every dog she meets and is all about playtime and cuddles. Gnocchi is food-motivated (treats are her #1 love language ), walks nicely on a leash, and is crate trained. She’s the last of our Pasta Litter, and she’s hoping her turn has finally come! Like a true Husky, she can be a little vocal when excited, but unlike her siblings, she doesn’t howl. She’s great with both small and large dogs and adores people. She’s fully vetted, young, and ready for her forever home. While she hasn’t met cats yet, her age and temperament make her a great candidate to adjust well. Gnocchi is looking for an active and loving adopter who’s ready for adventures, snuggles, and plenty of laughs. Not in Texas? No problem! We offer transport to the Pacific Northwest and East Coast. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future away from a city that has an animal crisis. We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets. So often are these animals dumped, abandoned, or born on the streets and never find a home to call their own. We are giving them the chance that every animal deserves. We know that since you are looking to add a furry family member to your home here, you will provide the love, care, and attention they need to thrive.  If you have fallen madly in love and would like to make this baby part of your family, then go to https://www.petstablished.com/organization/920716    ##2403935##

Elsa is a gorgeous Husky with a heart full of love and energy to match! This playful girl is incredibly smart, eager to please, and already crate and leash trained. She’s the perfect mix of spirited and obedient—ready to run, play, and then settle in for a car ride (which she loves). Elsa is very people-friendly and thrives on attention and companionship. With her outgoing personality and loyal nature, she’ll make a fantastic addition to an active home that appreciates the intelligence and enthusiasm Huskies bring. If you’re looking for a bright, affectionate, and fun-loving best friend, Elsa is your perfect match. Our adoption fee includes transport, all age required shots, microchip, & a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. We look forward to receiving your application! We will review it shortly and give you a call to set up a phone interview.  We are thrilled to offer transport services every 3 weeks from Houston to the Pacific Northwest and the East Coast, ensuring that these incredible pets can find their way to you no matter where you are. Story
Hi, I’m Tuka 💛 I’m a 2-year-old Husky/Shepherd/Malamute mix, and I’m looking for a patient, loving home to call my own. I came to the shelter through no fault of my own, and while I’m safe now, I’m still learning that the world can be a kind and gentle place. I’ll be honest—I can be a little shy when we first meet. New people and new places make me nervous, so I might need some time to warm up. But if you’re patient with me and let me go at my own pace, I promise I’m worth it. Once I feel comfortable, my true personality starts to shine. I’m a gentle, proper lady with a silly side that comes out when I’m happy and relaxed. I really love being around my people and thrive on human connection—it just takes me a little time to trust. One of my favorite things is being outside. I enjoy going on walks, and I walk phenomenally on a leash (if I do say so myself!). Exploring the world with someone I trust is one of the best feelings. Even though I’m not a puppy anymore, I’m still learning. I’m figuring out that new faces can be friendly and that routines help me feel safe. Once I recognize my people and settle into a routine, that’s when I truly blossom into the loving, loyal companion I’m meant to be.
