Story
Sitka is a 3-year-old male Siberian Husky who came to us as a stray, so we're still getting to know this handsome boy. One thing is already clear—he has plenty of Husky energy! Sitka is full of zoomies, leaps, and joyful jumps, and he's always ready for his next adventure. He's looking for an active home that can keep both his body and mind engaged with regular exercise, enrichment, and plenty of opportunities to explore. As we're still learning about him, Sitka has not yet been tested with other dogs, so slow, thoughtful introductions to any resident pets are recommended. Sitka is eager to learn and would thrive with a family committed to positive training and consistency. With time, patience, and guidance, he has the potential to become an incredible companion. Like many Huskies, he'll do best with someone who understands the breed's energy, intelligence, and need for daily activity.

Story
Food: Pedigree Adult AM: 4 cups Meet Rocky — a 3-year-old Husky/Shar-Pei mix with a playful spirit and a loyal heart. He loves chasing a ball, going on long walks, and spending time with his people. Rocky can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once he warms up, he’s affectionate and devoted — especially with women, whom he tends to bond with quickly. He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys canine companionship. Rocky does have some resource-guarding tendencies around bones, so he’ll do best with an experienced owner who can continue working on positive training and management. With patience, structure, and plenty of playtime, Rocky makes a wonderful companion.

Story
Food: Pedigree Adult AM: 3 cups I'm Tommy, a 10-year-old sable and silver Alaskan Husky with plenty of life left in me! 🐕 I'm housetrained and crate trained, which makes settling into a new home so much easier, and I'm great with kids — they bring out my playful, friendly side. I'm smart and energetic, though I do need a little patience when I'm adjusting to new situations, as I can be a bit fearful at first. Once I'm comfortable, you'll see my true personality shine through! My adoption fee is just $75, so come meet me and let's start our adventure together. ❤️ I would do best as the only dog.

Story
Meet Strider💙 — the handsome adventure buddy with the best mismatched eyes. Strider is a 7-year-young neutered male with a sweet, playful personality and a truly unforgettable look — he has one blue eye and one brown eye. He’s the kind of dog who will happily join you for a walk, romp around the yard, and then come inside to hang out and be your shadow. Strider is moderate energy: he loves walks, but he’s also totally happy to relax at home and play with you inside. While he’d love a yard to zoom around in, he would also likely do just fine in an apartment as long as he gets daily exercise and enrichment. ✅ Good with other dogs 🚫 Probably not good with cats (he is VERY interested in them) ✅ Great with visitors — he may give a couple soft “boofs,” then settles right in Strider enjoys toys (especially rubber balls) and one of his favorite hobbies is… enthusiastically destroying rubber toys. If you like buying toys and watching your dog have the time of his life? Strider is your guy. He is also neutered and fully vaccinated. Affectionate… with boundaries Strider is a very loving dog — he enjoys pets and snuggles and does well with handling when he approaches you first. He’s happiest when his humans respect his space and let him initiate affection (and once he does, he’s a total sweetheart). Training update Strider is currently working on: Crate training Leash training (he still pulls quite a bit) With consistency and positive reinforcement, he will continue to improve. Important note (please read) Strider does have a bite history. In a previous incident, someone leaned closely over him while he was grooming. Strider seemed got studded with the sudden move bit the person’s face, leaving two punctures. The incident was quick — he released immediately and did not attempt to bite again. Because of this, Strider needs: A home with no children Adults who understand dog body language A home that will be cautious when Strider is grooming himself, sleeping, or chewing bones/toys Strider is not a “bad dog” — he’s a dog who needs the right environment and humans who will respect his boundaries so he can feel safe and successful. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, affectionate best friend who will thrive with structure, respect, and love, Strider may be the perfect match. Currently being cared for in Spirit Lake, Idaho. Strider can be transported to northern states such as Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, or other locations within the continental United States, where a loving family awaits to welcome him.
