Story
This handsome and fluffy boy with beautiful eyes is Cain! Cain is a 4 year old Husky and German Shepard mix. He loves going on long walks and hikes whenever he can, but don't let that fool you, he will lay around all day snuggling in blankets if you let him. Snow is also one of his favorite things, and he could play in it for hours. He also loves to play with people as well as other dogs. He is super patient with little kids that push, pull, and poke, but he still likes to play with the demeanor of a big dog even if he thinks he's a small dog. Cain does get anxious when other people or animals are not around, and he can be a little vocal if that happens. That being said, with proper training he can respond well. He also has a vet that he goes to in Spokane, WA, that could help out with medication if that interests you. Cain deserves a loving home where he can be free to play in an open space with a family who will have no problem making time for him.

Story
Ruby is great with children of all kind. She is very patient. She is very good with newborn children. She is very soft and gentle when greeting Ruby just wants attention and love. She’s very good with other dogs. She loves to play tug-of-war and she doesn’t shed a lot like a normal husky. Ruby is very smart and knows simple tricks like sit, Lay down, Come here, Go, And leave it. Unfortunately, due to a new position at my job, I’m no longer able to care for her and give her the time she needs.

Story
Koda is a great dog. We got him from a newspaper ad when he was a pup. He is six years old now, and sadly we need to rehome him because of recent changes in our home. We just had a baby and are too busy and overwhelmed with life Duties that we can’t give him the attention that he needs. He is a very active dog that would do Best on a piece of property or with someone that is active and goes hiking, running frequently. He is great with other dogs, very passive and good with people, kids. With him being a husky and German shepherd mix is a very high energy dog, but also very self-sufficient and independent. He has mostly been an outdoor dog, but is potty trained, and dog door trained. He is great for protecting the property, home. He has a very unique and beautiful look, all white with one bright blue eye, and one brown eye.

Story
Name: Meru Age: 2.5 years old, Female Weight: 70 LBS Breed: Husky/Shepard Mix   Good w/ Kids: Yes - She has been around a 3 to 5 year old who has grabbed her, fallen on her and played with her without any incidents. She is very patient with him. She does grab/bite his arm playfully, but does not hurt him.  Good w/ Dogs: Yes - She has been to doggie daycare numerous times without any issues and loves to play with dogs off leash. If she is introduced to a dog on leash she can be protective of me. She does tend to bully the smaller dog she currently lives with but only playfully and has never hurt him. (Just his feelings) Good w/ Cats: No - Have tried to introduce her in the past to a cat and she obsessively tried to attack it. Potty Trained: Yes - She will go easily when taken on walks and if she's inside she will bark at the door when she has to go. Crate Trained: Yes - She was crate trained up until 1 1/2 years old but hasn't been in one for the last year as she's done pretty well being outside of one for up to 4 hours at a time, as long as she is properly exercised. She sleeps on a dog bed inside currently. Also comes with a crate. Training - She went through private training for a couple months and knows basic commands. She walks okay on a leash, and made improvements due to the training, but could use a little more work in this area. She is very alert of her surroundings and other dogs she sees while walking. Activity Level: I typically take her on one 30 minute walk midday. This keeps her somewhat stimulated but only for another few hours and then she shows signs of boredom. She loves going on hikes and as long as she is hydrated and there is shade she can do a few miles. She has been off leash on camping trips and hikes. If you are out in the middle of nowhere she has good recall, however when distracted or closer to civilization she enjoys a short roam.  Spayed: Yes Microchip: YesVaccines:  DA2PP EXP 12/13/24 BORDETELLA EXP 12/13/24 RABIES EXP 12/2025 ##2002245##

Story
-Personality: Loki Larry is a big strong boy who has been at SHS for too long! He loves exploring and would enjoy an athletic adventure buddy. -Best fit: Loki would thrive in an adult-only home. Since Loki is strong and likes to jump up on things and people and can get nippy, he wouldn't be the right fit for senior citizens or young children. -Can live with cats: No -Can live near livestock: Loki Larry requires a home with no small animals. He hasn't had much experience with livestock specifically, so we are unsure how he will react. -Can live with other dogs: Loki Larry is dog selective and dog reactive, ask an adoption counselor for more information. -Can't do apartment living: Loki would do best in a home with a private, fenced backyard. -Energy level: 5/5 -Things they love: Loki enjoys playing with hard toys and joining you for long car rides. He is an energetic boy who loves adventures, specifically running and hiking.
