Story
Hi my name is Blue or Blue-tiful because of my handsome posture. I act more like a cat than a dog, I will come to you for love when I need it unless you call me with a whistle. I'm gentle on a leash, I have more beauty than brawns, but I do need a little help remembering where I'm supposed to potty. My mom is trying to find me a better home where there aren't little kids who like to pull my tail but I'm okay if there is, I'm just a grumpy 5 year old man. Do you have some time and energy for me?

Story
Hi! My name is Meeka. My foster mom says I'm an adorable baby Husky. I love to play and run with all my foster dog siblings. When I get worn out, all I need is a soft place to sleep and I'm a happy little girl. We are working on potty training and I'm getting better each day. I don't mind being in my crate, but I would rather be out with my family. We are working on learning good manners, and my foster mom says I'm doing pretty well. I'm ready to find my forever family and make all sorts of new memories, full of love! To meet me, go to WAALrescue.org/adopt and fill out an application.

Signed over for being "unwanted at the Eldorado Animal Shelter, Guppie was scheduled for euthanasia. We pulled him from the shelter to keep him alive and he is currently in boarding looking for a foster or forever home. He is so friendly, happy, energetic and has the cutest zoomies. This dapper gentleman would make an excellent companion.

Story
Kavik is an Alaskan Husky mix and is a very loving dog who found himself at the Wichita Animal Shelter. He's a bit nervous meeting new people but warms up quickly and has no problem cuddling with you if you if you can keep his attention. He has tons of energy, so an active family is a must for him. IHe is great with the kids ages 6&10 in his current foster home, but needs to work on social skills. He wants to say hello to every animal but comes off as a little too eager/intrusive when given the chance to say hi. He wants to be an alpha so he can be persistent about shows of dominance with other dogs. He has little interest in playing fetch. He is a great running companion but needs some work to slow down on walks (gentle leader works ok but it bugs him). He is mostly house trained. He has been kenneled when he can't be watched and shows signs of separation anxiety when he's left alone. He has only had a couple of accidents inside the house. He has a scar on his right cheek and left front leg for reasons unknown. He does know some common commands like sit and come and is very food driven. He is a fast eater but hasn't shown too much protective actions towards people getting close while he's eating. He does not like being pulled by his collar by your hand (maybe a trigger from past human aggression?) but is ok when its done with a leash. Overall he is a great dog that just needs a little training and a family who will love him and love to be active with him. Visit www.beautiesandbeasts.org for more details.

Story
Beautiful Siberian Husky girl. We just adopted recently, our older dog will not warm up to her and we fear the aggression is getting worse, we currently keep them separated. She is 14 weeks. Born 11/4/23. She comes with her kennel, toys, food, and papers. She is currently up to date on her vaccines. She needs a home with a dog who can accept her. She loves to snuggle and play fetch.

Story
Snoopy is a 5 year old Husky pit-bull mix. She is up to date on shots and is potty trained and crate trained. She is a loving, wonderful companion, a watchful and loyal pet. Because of her high prey drive she should not be in a home with cats or other small animals. I have to rehome her because she doesn’t get along with my older female dog that is smaller than her. She is very territorial around her but does get along perfectly fine with my other female and male dog. Ideally, Snoopy would do best in a single pet home with older children or adults. She loves to play and run the yard and follows simple commands. Playing fetch is her favorite game. She is vocal like most huskies and will let you know is she has a pressing need to go outside or if she’s ready for a treat or to play. She also is quite content to cuddle or sit at your feet. I would not be rehoming her if this issue with my other female dog had not occurred. My biggest wish is for her to find a happy forever home.

Story
My name is Cooper. I'm the best boy. I sit, I lay down, I stay, I shake. I am potty trained, kennel trained, and enthusiastic about life. I am NOT an escape artist and I am respectful of boundaries. I don't want to be a statistic, my breed mix isn't known for quick adoption rates. I am likely some sort of Akita/Husky/Chow/Malamute mix. There may be some splashes of shepherd in there too. I am smart, I am loyal, and I promise to be your best friend if you give me a chance. I am dog friendly with most all small dogs and large female dogs, but I don't enjoy sharing my home with other large males. Being dog selective means I will have an extremely hard time finding my forever family. A home as an only dog would be ideal for me as I do prefer all the attention but a sister or a small brother might be okay too. I like kids, they seem to like me too. I am really good at teaching children how to give me treats. I offer my paw when they have food so that they have to pay the "tax for me shaking their hand. It's a really good system I have worked out and I'll turn your kids in to true junior dog trainers in no time. I do have a seizure disorder that requires medication once a day and it's pretty cheap. It will cost you about $30 each month *but* I promise to save you money in other ways! (You won't need a personal trainer I love to go on walks, and you won't need a security system because I will stay by your side when your home and watch the house while you're gone) I really love to cuddle. And your presence and reassurance when I'm having a seizure would make me feel a lot better. I like to rest afterwards and be wrapped in a blanket. I want a family so badly. I dream about one every night and I think about my future life all day.
