Story
Meet Cubby – Your Adventure Buddy and Best Friend! Breed: Husky Mix | Age: 2.5 years | Weight: 50 lbs Cubby is a stunning Husky mix with soulful eyes and a heart of gold. After being rescued from an overcrowded backyard situation, this sweet boy has blossomed in foster care and is now ready to find his forever family.   Cubby has discovered the joys of life—walks, playtime, snuggles, and, most of all, people! He’s affectionate, smart, and always seems to be trying to understand everything around him with those expressive eyes. He’s especially great with children and loves being part of a family.   An energetic and athletic pup, Cubby thrives on adventure. He loves long walks, hiking, backpacking, playing fetch, running beside a bike, and splashing in the water. If you lead an active lifestyle, Cubby might just be your perfect match. And when the day is done? He’s happy to chill on his dog bed, content just being near his people.   Cubby currently lives with two other dogs and absolutely loves playing with them. He would thrive in a home with a fenced yard and another dog buddy—or as your one-and-only if he gets plenty of exercise and enrichment.   Cubby is not just a dog—he’s a loyal companion, hiking partner, and forever friend who will bring joy, laughter, and love to your life. All he needs is a family who will give him the active, loving home he deserves.    Fostered in Tennessee   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 7, 2026, 12:24 pm

Story
There is something unforgettable about Ozzy. Maybe it's his stunning crystal blue eyes set against his black and cream colored fuzzy coat and unique markings that make everyone stop for a second look, or maybe it's the joyful, laidback affectionate personality that shines through the moment you meet him. At just 3 months old and 18 pounds, this Huskey/Aussie mix boy has his whole life ahead of him, and he's searching high and low with Critter Cavalry to find the home he deserves. OZZY was born around the middle to first of May and we know nothing about his parents.  He was dropped off at a small rural Tennessee shelter and immediately the shelter director called Critter Cavalry.  He and his brother Rye (they look nothing alike) were picked up the next day and brought in to foster care with a family that has a 13 year and a 3 year old child.  Ozzy is the brother is as laidback as a Sloth. He just reads the room and then decides what his next move will be.  We love his charm and his lase faire attitude about life.  We think he must have Husky and Aussie in him but somehow the hustle and bustle of both of those breeds just never made it through to his personality DNA. He is wonderful with other dogs and the kids and he would be good with a cat or two if needed. He is a real snuggler that sleeps alot and navigates his daily hours with no real plan of action.  He just takes life as it comes.  He is being crate trained and learning the leash.  He is not housebroken yet as he has only been in our care for 2 weeks. Potty training is a process. > His foster family has quickly discovered what a wonderful dog he is. During early morning hours and late afternoon you will find Ozzy happily running through the yard before settling down for a well-earned nap beside his people. He is incredibly smart, eager to learn, and always looking for the next adventure. Like many puppies, Ozzy thrives when his mind is engaged and when he's included as part of the family. Whether it's hiking, training, playing fetch, or simply tagging along wherever life takes you, Ozzy would love to be there sharing those moments with his people. What Ozzy needs most isn't perfection—it's commitment. He's looking for an active home with someone who understands that young herding dogs flourish with exercise, positive training, and plenty of love. In return, he'll be the loyal, devoted companion. If you've been hoping to add a beautiful, intelligent, fun-loving best friend to your family, Ozzy may be exactly the one you've been waiting for. We are looking for a fenced yard since this big boy will be a 70 pound handsome boy.  His forever home is out there somewhere, and we can't wait to help him find it. If you think belongs with you, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com to learn more about adopting this remarkable boy.       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comAugust 11, 2026, 6:13 pm

Story
Meet Lil Bit!! What we see is that Little Bit is an easy going girl that has melted right in to the background of the homelife of women who work from home and have 2 small dogs of their own.  She is respectful of them and is enjoying laying outside and enjoying the beautiful weather and the soft dog bed that has been offered to her.  She is crate trained and just fine.  She would love to play with the small dogs but they have refused her playful offerings.  As cute as she is, they are not interested.  The family we would love to adopt Little Bit is one that has a fenced yard and someone not gone 9 hours a day.  Shorter time gone is fine or even a work from home situation would be perfection.  She is housebroken apparently and she know how to cross her legs like a Southern Lady!   Some added weight might be good for this girl and a 55 pound healthy weight would be ideal for her.  She is a beauty.   A Husky/Shepherd mix is definitely the consensus of her breed.  She is currently 48 pounds and stunning in every way.  Please consider making this girl's Cinderella Story come true NOW!!!   Write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com        PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comAugust 11, 2026, 6:13 pm

Story
Introducing Morado!A big boy who loves to stretch his legs, play fetch in the yard (Though it`s 50/50 if he brings it back!), and FOOD! Morado is a smart boy who knows sit and has been working on his leash manners. He catches onto things quickly (Like sitting in front of you instead of jumping on you for attention) and treat based training has been working well with this guy! He can be your typical husky mix- loud, rambunctious, and full of playful spirit and sass!Although Morado prefers his home to be free of felines, he would do well with kids over the age of 12. He has a tendency of being snatchy with toys and treats, although we have been working on it here at KVHS! As for dogs, Morado can get over excited when meeting them. He`s looking for a dog who tolerates rough play styles!Overall, Morado is an energetic, eager to please, handsome dude looking for a home to keep him active and get out that energy!Interested in meeting Morado? Swing on down to KVHS with the whole family to ask to meet him!

Story
Meet Angel, Angel is a sweet darling who loves to play and adores the snow. She loves to show off how she can `sit pretty` and can`t contain how excited she is by jumping on people. Angel will be best in a home with no close neighbors as she does enjoy the sound of her own voice. We believe Angel will succeed in a home with other dogs, as well as cats. She is looking for a home with children ages 8 and above. If you are interested in meeting Angel, please stop by with the whole canine and human family living in your home.
