Story
Salem is a one year old Husky/Shiba mix who is affectionate, adorable, and energetic. I can no longer have him with me as a result of changing policy at the park I live in. He loves hikes, playing with friends, and snuggles. He’s crate trained, fixed, vaxxed, housebroken, and trained in basic obedience.

Story
Have you ever seen such an unusual Husky as this girl we call, Beautiful Berkley?   She looks like a cross between a Husky and a Wolf but that is all circumstantial but she sure does have that smoky, mysterious Wolf look to her face.  Her blue eyes definitely anchor her heritage in the Husky breed and she is young at just 2.5 years of age and 65 pounds.  This girl might look serious and formidable but she is a true lover who wants to romp and play fetch and then roll over for belly rubs and then will give you a kiss for treating to such special attention.  This girl has energy as you might expect from a young Husky.  She needs an exercise oriented human who can provide her with a fenced yard and who will work with time to play together.  Beautiful Berkley is wonderful with children and other dogs but does have the Husky prey drive and we will not allow her to go to a home with any cats at all.  We are so excited at what lies around the corner for Beautiful Berkley.  If you are interested in her please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.February 29, 2024, 8:59 am

Story
This handsome lover boy is Scout. He has some energy to burn but is very eager to please and will walk on leash as long as you like! He is crate-trained, housetrained, and loves other dogs. He sleeps with all his dog buddies on the bed in his southern foster home. Scout is loving life indoors, and responds well to “ah ah” or “no no” if he’s exploring something he shouldn’t. He is great with the cat there, and has met outdoor cats with no issue. This sweet dude has been through a lot in his young life, he had an injury to his front leg and had to have surgery and a metal plate implanted. After 8 weeks of very quiet crate rest, he has come out firing on all cylinders and ready to play. He doesn’t have restrictions any longer and he feels like a new man! Scout is also a champion snuggler, and we can’t wait to meet him! He is 1 and ½ years old and weighs 48 lbs. We think he is a husky mix, and what the rest is, pure sweetheart! To apply to adopt Scout or any of our sweeties, please check out our application. Please note: We do not have a physical location, but we are supported by a network of wonderful foster homes that are primarily throughout southern Maine. A dog will need to be visited by a prospective adopter in the foster settomg where they are feeling safe and comfortable.

Story
THE ADORABLE TOMAS IS LOOKING FOR A HOME! HOUSEBROKEN CRATE TRAINED LOVES PEOPLE OMG He is the cutest little pup! ❤🐶🐹 We rescued Tomas from the Moreno Valley Shelter in CA a few months ago when he was euth listed! This super friendly and super sweet boy is only about a year and a half old. He is still a puppy and in constant motion! Tomas is a great size, small and compact and about 55 lbs. He's built like a little Bernese Mountain Dog! Tomas was in foster for a few weeks so he learned some manners and we learned more about HIM! Tomas loves to play with other dogs. He's one of our dog testers. He was kennelled with other dogs at the shelter with no issues. In his foster home, he did very well with the other dog for the most part, but over time he did become jealous over the foster folks, so if his adoptive home has another dog, this is behavior that would need to be worked with. (We will provide a private lesson with our trainer for tips!) For the most part Tomas is playful with another dog, and he CAN go to the dogpark with no issues. No kitties for Tomas! Tomas is now crate trained and housebroken. He will need a little leash training but he is pretty good, really. We think he would be fine with kids. He is very food motivated and sits beautifully for a treat. He is so happy that when he is sitting he taps his back feet in the funniest way. He's always smiling and mostly wants to give kisses. He will make a super family companion - he will want an active home! If you are a loving home and would like to open your home and heart to one of our dogs, please fill out our online application to get the approval process started. We will not schedule meet and greets without an approved app on file.
