Story
There is something unforgettable about Ozzy. Maybe it's his stunning crystal blue eyes set against his black and cream colored fuzzy coat and unique markings that make everyone stop for a second look, or maybe it's the joyful, laidback affectionate personality that shines through the moment you meet him. At just 3 months old and 18 pounds, this Huskey/Aussie mix boy has his whole life ahead of him, and he's searching high and low with Critter Cavalry to find the home he deserves. OZZY was born around the middle to first of May and we know nothing about his parents.  He was dropped off at a small rural Tennessee shelter and immediately the shelter director called Critter Cavalry.  He and his brother Rye (they look nothing alike) were picked up the next day and brought in to foster care with a family that has a 13 year and a 3 year old child.  Ozzy is the brother is as laidback as a Sloth. He just reads the room and then decides what his next move will be.  We love his charm and his lase faire attitude about life.  We think he must have Husky and Aussie in him but somehow the hustle and bustle of both of those breeds just never made it through to his personality DNA. He is wonderful with other dogs and the kids and he would be good with a cat or two if needed. He is a real snuggler that sleeps alot and navigates his daily hours with no real plan of action.  He just takes life as it comes.  He is being crate trained and learning the leash.  He is not housebroken yet as he has only been in our care for 2 weeks. Potty training is a process. > His foster family has quickly discovered what a wonderful dog he is. During early morning hours and late afternoon you will find Ozzy happily running through the yard before settling down for a well-earned nap beside his people. He is incredibly smart, eager to learn, and always looking for the next adventure. Like many puppies, Ozzy thrives when his mind is engaged and when he's included as part of the family. Whether it's hiking, training, playing fetch, or simply tagging along wherever life takes you, Ozzy would love to be there sharing those moments with his people. What Ozzy needs most isn't perfection—it's commitment. He's looking for an active home with someone who understands that young herding dogs flourish with exercise, positive training, and plenty of love. In return, he'll be the loyal, devoted companion. If you've been hoping to add a beautiful, intelligent, fun-loving best friend to your family, Ozzy may be exactly the one you've been waiting for. We are looking for a fenced yard since this big boy will be a 70 pound handsome boy.  His forever home is out there somewhere, and we can't wait to help him find it. If you think belongs with you, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com to learn more about adopting this remarkable boy.       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comAugust 17, 2026, 10:00 pm

Story
Astra (3 years old) is a good dog. Unfortunately, life has gotten very busy this past year, and she has spent more time being crated and indoors than she should be. She deserves a more active home and attention than my family can currently give her. We’re willing to travel to help with pickup logistics within reason and can help arrange transportation if needed for longer distances. She’ll come with all of the dog gear, toys, food, and bowls we’ve bought for her, as well as any remaining preventative medicine (i.e. heart worm and flea and tick).

Buddy is not particularly good with dogs bigger than him. Exhibits protective behavior but very loving. I have had some living arrangements change and am not home as much work long days and really need to find him a good home. Willing to travel to meet. He is up to date on shots and neutered

Story
Luna – Your Adventure Buddy in the Making! Luna is a stunning 4-year-old “Pitsky” (Pit Bull/Husky mix) weighing just under 50 lbs—the perfect size for snuggles and adventures. She’s a smart, eager-to-please girl who has already completed an 8-week board-and-train program using positive reinforcement. She’s been continuing her training with her professional trainer, so she’s more than ready to show off her skills in a home of her own. Luna is house- and crate-trained, knows basic commands like sit, down, and shake, and is highly food- and treat-motivated—making training both fun and rewarding. She loves long walks, hikes, and yard play, and would thrive with daily enrichment activities like nose work or scent games. Home Requirements: ·       She will do better as the only pet ·       Luna would like an active, experienced dog owner who is home often ·       She would love a fenced yard but not required ·       Luna should not live with cats, small dogs, or farm animals Luna is a total people-lover—she’s always excited to make new human friends and travel for new adventures. In the car, she’ll need to be safely crated or tethered in a car seat since her enthusiasm can get the best of her. If you’re looking for a loving, athletic, and loyal companion to join your active lifestyle, Luna is ready to be your new best friend. EVERY DOG HAS A STORY:   Luna was found as a stray in horrible condition and ended up in a rural county shelter.    Best Friend Pet Adoption was happy to bring her into our rescue and give her the medical care needed to blossom into a the pretty girl she is now.     Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.  Applicants must live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We therefore require applicants to live within an hours drive of Cary NC.   INTERESTED IN ADOPTING LUNA ? Story
Swiper is 8 years old, we adopted him approximately 2 years ago from the Androscoggin humane society in Lewiston when my son was 6 months old. He did AMAZING with my son, protected him, would walk away if he ever got irritated with the baby. But then I had my daughter, and he started getting jealous. He doesn't hurt the kids, but he urinates in the house because he isn't getting enough attention anymore. He is a good dog, loyal, loves to play, good with cats, always down to snuggle. He gets along with other dogs as long as he's outside, when he's inside with another dog, he follows them around and won't let them near food or water, and will show his teeth to them.

Story
Meet Lil Bit!! What we see is that Little Bit is an easy going girl that has melted right in to the background of the homelife of women who work from home and have 2 small dogs of their own.  She is respectful of them and is enjoying laying outside and enjoying the beautiful weather and the soft dog bed that has been offered to her.  She is crate trained and just fine.  She would love to play with the small dogs but they have refused her playful offerings.  As cute as she is, they are not interested.  The family we would love to adopt Little Bit is one that has a fenced yard and someone not gone 9 hours a day.  Shorter time gone is fine or even a work from home situation would be perfection.  She is housebroken apparently and she know how to cross her legs like a Southern Lady!   Some added weight might be good for this girl and a 55 pound healthy weight would be ideal for her.  She is a beauty.   A Husky/Shepherd mix is definitely the consensus of her breed.  She is currently 48 pounds and stunning in every way.  Please consider making this girl's Cinderella Story come true NOW!!!   Write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com        PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comAugust 17, 2026, 10:00 pm
