Story
Introducing Wheeler – the boy who steals hearts everywhere he goes! This 1 year old, 40-pound German Shepherd/Husky mix is as smart as he is handsome. Wheeler has already mastered sit and shake with both paws and became fully housebroken in just one week with his foster family. He’s crate trained, learning to walk well on a leash, and eager to soak up everything that’s taught to him.  This boy with the amazing smile and wonderful ears knows how to steal hearts.  Wheeler is a social butterfly who loves everyone—kids, adults, dogs, and even cats. In fact, he’s convinced the cats in his foster home need constant “baths,” which he happily provides with endless affection. He also enjoys curling up in a lap, whether it belongs to a person or another pup. This sweet boy needs company in his life.   Another companion dog would make him happy and feel secure along with a family that has someone home alot. This all is due to the hard past that started when Wheeler was a puppy. He and his brother were abandoned, and he was found underweight and limping from what turned out to be an old hip injury—likely caused by a car or a blow to his leg.  It was fractured but never set to heal correctly by a vet.  It healed on its own and doesnt bother him, but he’ll always have a slight limp.  Dont feel sorry about that because it doesn’t slow him down one bit. He runs and plays like nothing ever happened, a joyful reminder of his resilient spirit. He needs a fenced yard so he can get all his energy out daily. What makes this particular boy so special isn’t just his good looks or intelligence—it’s his kind heart. He’s grateful for every bit of love and safety he’s found in rescue, and he’s ready to give that love right back to the family lucky enough to call him their own.  If Wheeler sounds like the perfect match for your family, please email ccrtennessee@gmail.com. This incredible boy is waiting to meet his forever people, and we know you’ll be smitten from the very first hello. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 9, 2026, 11:29 am

Story
Fen has spent far too many days watching the world from the end of a chain. When his owner moved away, this 6-year-old Lab/Husky mix was left behind on a lonely tie-out at an empty house, cared for only by kind neighbors who refused to let him be forgotten. They shared that Fen once lived indoors, but as his owner’s health declined, Fen’s life slowly shrank to neglect and isolation. Despite it all, Fen’s heart remains wide open.   This sweet boy is full of gentle enthusiasm and gratitude for every bit of attention. The moment he’s free to stretch his legs, Fen lights up — he loves to run, play, and feel the joy of simply being a dog again. He already knows how to sit, walks well on a leash, and shows just how smart and willing he is to listen and learn. Fen wants so badly to connect with people; he leans in for affection like he’s been saving up years of love to give.   Because he’s been forced to live outside for so long, he may need a little patience while relearning house manners and routine — but he’s had a home before, and he’s eager to understand again. Fen is currently underweight, a visible reminder of how he’s been failed, but also a hopeful sign of how much better his future can be with someone who truly cares.   Fen isn’t broken. He’s loving, loyal, and ready to bloom in the hands of a family who will never leave him behind again. All he needs now is a warm place to land, steady meals, and the promise that he’ll always belong.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 20, 2026, 9:56 pm

Story
Meet Aaron,A handsome guy who has his opinions; he`s all talk! Like your typical husky, Aaron is a high energy dude who likes to go outside and romp around in the snow. Although stubborn, he does know `sit` and has continued to work on his other basic commands while here! Aaron could be described as a frat boy; likes to party, get his way, and loves meeting new people! Although he`s looking for a home WITHOUT cats, he`s happy to meet kids over the age of 8 (He`s a big guy at 57lbs and is still learning not to jump/mouth) Although Aaron hasn`t met dogs here at KVHS, we do think he`d be willing to meet submissive dogs.Interested in meeting Aaron? Swing on down to KVHS with your whole family (Including future dog siblings) to meet him!

Not good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained,
Story
Sony is a seven-year-old Siberian Husky seeking new love. For seven years, he was the baby of the house—king of the couch, ruler of routines, and professional side-eye giver. Then a human baby arrived. Since that change, Sony has struggled with the busy, unpredictable environment. When he doesn’t get his way or feels overwhelmed, he can become mouthy and nippy, especially if corrected. He also exhibits resource guarding, which means structure, boundaries, and understanding are essential for his success. Sony is not a bad dog—he’s a diamond in the rough who needs the right setting. A calm, adult-only home is a must. No children. Period. He has a very high prey drive, so no cats or small animals, and he must be the only dog in the home. This decision has been incredibly difficult, however, the safety of the toddler in the home must come first, and Sony also deserves a life where he has peace and can thrive. With the right person, Sony will be a loyal, funny, expressive companion.

Story
Dolly is the best dog! She is smart, loyal, and very loving . She is fully house trained, leash trained, and off leash trained. I am honestly heartbroken about having to make this decision, but I believe she deserves more time than I can give her. My job changed recently and I travel a lot! She is part red Siberian husky and boxer. The husky side does create a LOT of hair. Allergies can be a struggle. She loves her humans and deserves to be spoiled with time and attention. Dolly is super athletic but is not super rambunctious inside at all, she plays hard out in the yard and then settles in really good once inside. I let her off leash in the yard, which is not fenced, and she knows her boundaries and does not stray off. She had no health problems accept for her teeth. The vet said she isn't worried about them right now, but they seem to be wearing down. She absolutely loves ball time! She LOVES her ball! And her stuffy. She loves to sit by the window and watch the neighborhoo

**Avaliable by appointment only (currently in foster home)**Meet Sky — your next adventure buddy!Sky is a spunky, medium-energy husky who’s always ready to hit the trail, chase the snowflakes, or zoom around the yard just for fun. True to her breed, she’s curious, clever, and full of personality! Sky loves to explore the great outdoors and play with her doggy friends, but she’s just as happy to flop down afterward for some well-earned cuddles.Sky does have a very sensitive tummy, so she’ll need to stay on her prescription Z/D food and take a daily probiotic to keep things running smoothly. But don’t worry—this adventurous girl doesn’t let anything slow her down!Because of her strong husky prey drive, Sky would do best in a home without cats or livestock. She is, however, always open to meeting new dog friends—she’s made plenty during her stay here at KVHS!If you’re looking for a beautiful, talkative, and fun-loving husky to share life’s adventures with, come meet Sky at the KVHS! She’s ready to steal your heart (and maybe your spot on the couch).
