Story
Sheba has been adopted!. Sheba hasn't had a single accident in the house.  She seems to be able to hold it for quite a while.   Sheba walks very well on a leash.  Does she lunge? no.  Does she react to or chase cars, bikes, golf carts, runners, bikers? no. She is able to go 1-2 miles walking like she's in the AKC Championships. Sheba rode in the car from down South to Michigan like a champ.  She rides quietly and calmly in cars while in foster care. She looks like Royalty. Sheba has been left alone at home without being crated and has not shown any destruction or over-the-top anxiety. Sheba seems to gently adore all people.  No jumping, smashing into them, or demanding.  She gives a gentle kiss to the hand and then rests on the ground.  Sheba does seems to LOVE men and listens to them slightly better than women. Sheba was listed as good with dogs at her previous shelter.  So far she has had a play date with another Husky and did well. Squirrels...not so much.  Sheba sleeps through the night on the floor or in her dog bed.  Being a Husky mix, she will require frequent brushing to keep her silky hair shiny and mat-free, as well as periodic professional grooming if her new family can't keep up with the amount of hair that needs care. Sheba has a food requirement: She will NOT eat dry dog food unless wet dog food is mixed in and even then, she may wait a day to eat. She's not very food-motivated. It is highly recommended that she have a fenced yard.  So far she doesn't dig, jump the fences or squeeze through small gaps, however, she is a smart Husky and has examined all the gate openings, thus secure closures are needed.  Sheba loves hanging out in the yard.  She doesn't bark to come in, so it's important not to forget she's out there.  Sheba is recovering from heartworm disease extremely well.  She has been on slow-kill medication and still shows a 'slight' positive on her last test.  She is on monthly heartworm preventative and an antibiotic.  ##2051119##

Story
I got her from a shelter last August. Where I live now is not a good environment for her, she is very high energy and needs space to run. She is very hyper which causes an issue for me because there is a 3 year old in the house and always wants to play with the other dog we have here and doesn’t keep in mind that the child is near. I just want to find her a better home where she is happy and able to let more energy out. She is very sweet and loving and loves attention.

Story
A is for all the affection I have to give V is for my vivacious nature E is for easing into new friendships R is for my refreshing outlook on life I is for the incredible adventures we will have together E is for my enthusiasm in everything I do! I hear people-pleasing is supposed to be exhausting....but not for me! Being the young little lady that I am, my potential is as high as your dedication! It is very satisfying to utilize this beautiful brain I have, to make my friends (and my future family) happy. I won't lie to you; I am still growing out of some "puppy habits" (mouthing when I am overly excited) but rest assured, positive redirection and consistency will make for a quick remedy. Because I am still learning my size and appropriate play behavior, I might be best suited for older children that have a sturdy stance. Who needs a television when you could have me to keep you entertained! My enthusiasm is expressed in such a dorky way. I like to zoom around and try my best to impersonate a professional contortionist by folding over like a pretzel with my behind in the air! I am really excited to play with other dogs too, its a great way to let my antics out before we hunker down in bed for the night. Don't wait too long, if you like it....then you should put a collar on it. Take the first steps by submitting your adoption application to the website below! DOB: 2/12/2021 For safety's sake, we are looking for homes with physical fenced in areas. Please fill out our online adoption survey at www.mackenzies.info/adopt/adoption-survey-application/

Story
Grizzly Grizzly is a male Husky mix. DOB: Nov. 15th,2023 Adoption fee: $225.00 I am a pup on the go!! But I always have time to slow down for some love and kisses. There is no guarantee on size, although my group appears to be on the petite size. I should be roughly between 40 and 60 pounds when full grown. I will require a physically fenced in yard, pending previous experience, location, and/or other plans for containment. I am not fit for apartment life. I should do well with other dogs pending a meet/greet and can be trained with a dog friendly cat. Pending observed interaction, I should do well with children 8 years and older. I do not appear to be the laid back, couch potato type of dog. Those who apply should be prepared for an active puppy into adulthood. If you are interested in being my adopter, please visit my shelter's website and complete the adoption application that is available there! HSSCM.org you can find the applications under the "adoptions" tab.
