**Minnie will be attending our next Adoption Event on Sunday 3/22/26 from 10am to 12pm.  Address:  3276 E Jolly Road Suite B (Past the Mailboxes) Lansing, MI.  Let us know you are attending by RSVP'ing to our event here:  www.happyfeetpetrescue.com/events**   Hi, I'm Minnie. Aka Minnie Mouse, Momma Mouse, Mouse Mouse. Like Bear (one of my puppies) I have many nicknames.  I'm a young husky from the south that landed in Michigan after busting out of a shelter with my babies. We stayed cozy and worked on ourselves this winter and are ready to join our forever families just in time for spring! Don't you want a walking buddy before it gets REALLY nice out there? My foster family has said that I'm the sweetest and quietest husky they have ever met. They have yet to hear me howl, maybe I will someday, maybe I won't. Like most huskies, I do love to do zoomies in their fenced backyard, I love walks, and they say that I "hoard" the toys, whatever that means. I've been working on joining my foster family's adult dogs the last few weeks, there's 2 of them and 1 of me so it can be a little intimidating, but we've all had cozy couch time and when they leave we can all see each other from our kennels. I like being able to see the other dogs from my kennel, after all, huskies are social creatures, when I was in a kennel in a separate room I didn't like that.  I walk nicely on a leash, but on a group walk I want to be the lead dog, so I show my excitement a bit more. On a one on one walk they say I don't pull. I'm working on kennel time, but haven't touched anything that's not mine so I could probably roam free depending on the situation. I've slept in my kennel in the bedroom and in the bed, foster parents are pretty cool like that I've met some kids and they seem cool, but I don't live with any right now so might need time to adjust if you're adding me to a family with human kiddos. Sometimes when I'm excited to see my people, I come up to say hello asap, so bigger kids might be better than the little little ones.  As a husky, I might be a little too interested in small animals, hard to say with 100% certainty because I don't live with any now. We did see a squirrel on a recent walk and I had some hunter thoughts until I got distracted by something else.  Anyway, that's a bit about me! I'm excited to meet you because I LOVE people!! Daisy will be hanging out at our Adoption Event this Sunday 3/22/26 from 10am to 12pm.  Our Address is 3276 E Jolly Road (Suite B) Lansing, MI.  RSVP and let us know you are coming here:  https://www.happyfeetpetrescue.com/events   Hello, I'm Daisy!!  My foster family says I am such a sweet Daisy girl who loves to snuggle as much as I love to play, they say I seem pretty smart, which is I am currently working really hard on potty training and learning how to walk on a leash. I'm at least half husky, so my ideal forever family will want to go on walks and adventures with me, and be sure they have a good deshedding brush for seasonal coat changes.  I love to play with toys, especially fetch and tug of war and I love to run around the yard between my foster parents - it is the best way to get my energy out! I'm so looking forward to joining my forever family, please apply to meet me! ##2642549##

Story
A is for all the affection I have to give V is for my vivacious nature E is for easing into new friendships R is for my refreshing outlook on life I is for the incredible adventures we will have together E is for my enthusiasm in everything I do! I hear people-pleasing is supposed to be exhausting....but not for me! Being the young little lady that I am, my potential is as high as your dedication! It is very satisfying to utilize this beautiful brain I have, to make my friends (and my future family) happy. I won't lie to you; I am still growing out of some "puppy habits" (mouthing when I am overly excited) but rest assured, positive redirection and consistency will make for a quick remedy. Because I am still learning my size and appropriate play behavior, I might be best suited for older children that have a sturdy stance. Who needs a television when you could have me to keep you entertained! My enthusiasm is expressed in such a dorky way. I like to zoom around and try my best to impersonate a professional contortionist by folding over like a pretzel with my behind in the air! I am really excited to play with other dogs too, its a great way to let my antics out before we hunker down in bed for the night. Don't wait too long, if you like it....then you should put a collar on it. Take the first steps by submitting your adoption application to the website below! DOB: 2/12/2021 For safety's sake, we are looking for homes with physical fenced in areas. Please fill out our online adoption survey at www.mackenzies.info/adopt/adoption-survey-application/

Story
Hi my name is Mr. Pibb! I am a shy dog by nature, so meeting new people can put me in a bit of a ruff spot. But I recently was lucky enough to go to a foster home, and my new foster parent says I have been adjusting well and that I am gentle, well-mannered in the home, and so sweet! I even seem to know some commands! I am working on getting more confident and comfortable. Can you be my safe person? Reach out to the adoptions team to arrange a meeting with me!Mr. Pibb is currently living in one of our wonderful foster homes. Adopting from foster is easy! Story
Hi my name is Nikita! I am a good girl and I am looking for an active owner willing to offer training and exercise, but in return I can offer unconditional love and years of happiness. I do have some big feelings about some things in this world and tend to express this by reacting with barking and may be a bit too much for some families. I will need to continue my training and HSHV offers classes for dogs like me! Visit www.hshv.org for more information.Nikita has heartworm which means that this dog has parasitic worms in the right ventricle of the heart and nearby blood vessels. Heartworm is transmitted from one dog to another by mosquitoes and can be easily prevented using monthly heartworm preventative, but once the disease is contracted the treatment process can be quite intensive. Nikita will need to remain sedentary with minimal activity during the treatment process to ensure a healthy recovery. There is additional information on heartworm disease and treatment available at our Adoption Desk. The heartworm injections for treatment are covered by HSHV, but there may be additional costs associated with clinical care.

Story
Hi my name is Vanilla Bean! I am a shy kind of dog who is looking for a patient owner who is willing to give me time to adjust and open up in my new home. I can be rather shy so I would prefer a quieter home without younger children. I have a high prey drive and lots of high energy, so I need a home without cats to be my best self. Once I get more comfortable, I will come out of my shell and start to show more of my true personality. If you are interested in meeting me, please fill out an adoption survey online or in the shelter.
