Story
THIS ANIMAL HAS AN ADOPTION HOLD* Meet Canelo! Canelo can be nervous when meeting new people and asks for friends to go slowly with introductions. He may need extra time in the home before feeling comfortable. Slow and proper introductions are always recommended whenever introducing a new animal to the home. Canelo has been described as an energetic boy who loves to play. While he hasn't lived with other animals, he enjoyed playing with the visiting dogs in his home. Canelo would benefit from basic obedience training and socialization to grow more confident when facing new people and places. Ask TCHS staff for tips. *Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling (320) 252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. Adoption holds are $25 plus tax, are non-refundable, non-transferable and not applied toward the adoption fee. **Minnesota sales tax and an administrative fee ($20 for cats/dogs and $10 for small animals) will be applied to all adoptions. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, deworming, any medical procedures, and general care of all shelter animals. Story
Please Please help ! We need to find a home for him sooner than later. This is time sensitive however we need to find the right fit for him. Our girl dogs are going into heat. It is difficult to keep them apart. Please help usI’ll even throw in our girl dog Ellie. Deniji is a good boy. He just needs lots of attention more than we can give at this time in our lives. He is going on 12 years old. He is very attached to us. He is NOT socialized. He will tell you when he feels threatened. He is very skiddish. He hasn’t bitten anyone because of isolation from any human contact except us. He has shots up to date. No health issues. We have never taken any of them to the vet for anything but shots. He is beautiful with very thick coat of black and white furr. Bright blue eyes. He adores ice cubes or water.he will be the first the look for food if you drop it. He will “sing” if you prompt him too. Howling wise. I feel we have given him a good life for these years but now it’s time to move on.

We really need to rehome him. We are relocating to another state and unable to take him with usHe is skiddish and we have not socialized him. I do not want to take Him to a shelter He has enriched us for 12 years and now it’s time to move on. We’ve given him all he needs in that time.He has no medical issues and is updated on vaccines. He is special needs because he is fearful of the vacuum and gates. He would do well in a single family home. Please please help us. We are unable to handle him any longer

Story
Location: North Mankato, MN Meet your new best friend, Kaya! This sweet girl may be a little timid when you first meet her, but once she feels safe, her loving personality shines. Earn her trust, and you'll have a loyal companion who's happiest right by your side—especially if she can do her signature "lean" against your leg while you give her pets. She's house-trained, kennel-trained, and such a well-mannered girl that she doesn't really need to be crated. At the end of the day, she's an early-to-bed kind of gal who loves curling up in a cozy, cave-like space for a good night's sleep. She's wonderful with other dogs, especially smaller ones, and would be happy with a canine companion or as your one-and-only. One way to her heart? Cheese! It's her absolute favorite treat. Like many dogs, loud noises such as fireworks and motorcycles can be scary for her, so she'll do best with a family that understands her need for a calm, reassuring environment during noisy moments. If you're looking for a gentle soul who will reward your patience with unwavering love and loyalty, this girl is ready to become your devoted best friend. Give her a little time to settle in, and she'll give you her whole heart. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).
