Story
Location: Sioux Falls, SD Meet Daisy: A Gentle Soul in Need of a Loving Home Daisy, a beautiful white Husky mix, has a story that will touch your heart. Despite her stunning appearance, Daisy has faced severe abuse in her past, leaving her deeply scared and in need of a special kind of love and attention. Daisy's journey hasn't been easy. After being adopted and then returned due to behavioral issues (lack of socialization requiring more patience with training) she has found herself in search of a forever home once again. Daisy requires slow and careful introductions to other dogs, but she does fine around cats. Her biggest fear is humans, but despite this, she has shown no aggression towards people. Instead, she cowers and withdraws, making it clear that she needs someone who can gently push her out of her comfort zone and show her that not all humans are to be feared. Currently, Daisy is taking medication to help manage her anxiety. With the right environment, patience, and understanding, Daisy has the potential to thrive and transform into a loyal and loving companion. She needs a quiet, stable home where she can feel safe and gradually learn to trust again. If you have the heart and home to offer Daisy the second chance she deserves, please consider adopting this gentle soul. She may need some extra care, but the love you'll receive in return will be immeasurable. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Byron, MN Elf is about 40 pounds, Happy, Healthy and fully Vetted. Elf is Potty and Kennel trained, He sleeps all night in his kennel and is out during the day with no issues. He loves the outdoors and to play fetch. He knows Sit, Stay and Wait. He is a smart, active puppy who is ready for his forever home He is skittish at first with new people and does bark at first sight of strangers, but redirects after he is comfortable. He is good with our house dog (shitzu) with reminders to be careful. He would do well with another large dog to play with, but can be an only pet. As fun and energetic as he can be, he also makes the perfect cuddle companion on those slow nights at home. At only 11 months old, he has a long life to share with you and your family --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Location: Sioux Falls, SD Hi, I'm Mocha! We've never met but I already love you because I love EVERYONE- men, women, children- I love them all. I'm very smart and like learning new tricks. I am a bit of a Velcro dog- don't be surprised if I peek my head in the shower just to make sure you're still there. I want to play, but I'm more of a fan of "chase me than fetch. When I'm super excited, I like to try and talk- I guess that's the husky in me! I would love to be a lap dog but I'm a big girl. If you set boundaries with me, I do good at respecting the furniture and will only jump up when you call me. I am house trained - I have had zero accidents in my home. I chew my toys, but not the shoes. I take treats very gently. I love going on walks but get excited by small critters and other dogs/people. I do walk best in a harness. I'm told I have a prey drive toward smaller animals - cats, dogs, squirrels, bunnies. I am dog selective and need slow intros to other dogs. I would be ok with another dog in the home as long as they are my size or bigger and we've had proper introductions with plenty of supervised playtime. I do great in my kennel. I know it's time to relax when my foster tells me to go to my room. Once in my kennel, she always gives me a treat and I have no accidents while she's at work. As you can see, I'm gorgeous and I know it. I hate to brag, but my foster says I'm a very sweet, loving, smart, goofy, playful dog. I need a family that understands that I may never be a dog that can go to the dog park or socially hang out with other dogs due to my dog sensitivity. But I do promise to love you unconditionally and be the sweetest dog ever to my family. ----- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Viborg, SD Hi I'm Elly aka Miss Teddy. My foster parents call me Miss Teddy as they say I look like a fluffy teddy bear. I have super soft fur that your hands just sink in to when you pet me. Also, have you seen how beautiful I am?!? I am very unique shades of brown with the prettiest eyes around AND check out my cute toe beans with my white socks. I love people, but since I am new to a family, I get skittish in some situations. I just need a little coaxing to know that it is ok and then I will be just fine! (for ex: stairs terrified me when I first came to my fosters home, they had to coax me down several times - now, I love doing my zoomies up and down them!) I am working on potty training. I give you the signs when I have to pee - so my fosters watch me closely when I am out to catch me before I go on the floor. I am a work in progress with this, but have resident dogs to help me learn. I am kennel trained and sleep in my kennel at night. I love getting a treat after I go nicely in. I have 5 foster siblings - 3 big dogs and 2 little dogs. I get along great with all dogs and I just want to play and be their friend. I LOVE to play! Whether it is with the other dogs or toys - it is the best thing ever. You can tell I haven't lived in a home with toys and love - because I just love everything about it all! I have showed zero signs of aggression when it comes to food, toys and playing. I am just happy to be a part of the family and don't have a mean bone in my body. I do come with some puppy energy, but if you play with me I will tire out and then just lay on the floor or on the couch with you. I am looking for a family to love me and teach me the ways of life as a dog. I'm currently working on potty and crate training and am doing so well! I also get along with all the other dogs and cats in my home! I love making new friends. She  recently had surgery to remove her eye but it doesn't seem to bother her at all. She does great with one eye. She likes to run in the yard when she has the zoomies but in general is laid back and likes laying inside by her people. And she LOVES belly rubs.  She's sweet, friendly, cuddly, kennel trained and potty trained. She loves soft comfy beds or blankets and sleeps on a dog bed in the  bedroom at night.  She does ok walking on a leash with a harness but will pull without the harness so could use a little more work. She responds well to correction and is treat motivated so likely easy to train and already knows sit, wait and lay down.  She gets along with all people, kids included and is friendly to other dogs. Story
Hi, I’m Meg! I’m a Husky born 12/19/21. I have lots of energy and would benefit from regular walks and/or an active person or family. I do okay on a leash. I don’t pull a whole lot but could benefit from some leash training. I do well in a kennel but my current foster family lets me have full reign of the house with the other dogs. I live with two other dogs and do well with them, however, the puppy in my still gets excited and I’ve nipped a time or two. I also live with two cats. I’m curious about them but don’t make any attempts to hurt or chase them. I also live with an 8 year old human. I may not be good for a home with smaller children as I am a bigger dog and haven’t learned how to greet you without jumping on you yet. I know the word down and will get down after a big slobbery kiss hello. I enjoy car rides and make an amazing travel companion. I enjoy snuggles with my foster family and trying to be a lap dog even if I don’t always fit. I’m pretty well potty trained. I’ve had a few accidents in the house while adjusting to my new home, but my foster family is getting better at picking up my cues that I need to go outside. I am generally pretty quiet but I will bark to say hello when you come from work, when the kid opens his bedroom door in the morning and out the window at the neighbor in their own driveway (the nerve of them to use their own driveway and not even show me love). My barks may be too loud in an apartment setting. I have lots of love to give and can’t wait to meet you.  Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, rabies vaccination, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper combo vaccines appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: 495.00  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 14, 2024, 8:47 pm

Maggie is an energetic young female that is sweet and smart. Maggie was in a rough situation where owner had too many dogs and could not afford vet care. She had a litter of puppies and was a great mom. We got her spayed and updated on vaccinations so she is very much ready for a forever home! Maggie is a perfect size, not too big and not too small. 😊 She loves attention and is very affectionate. Maggie does great w/bigger dogs and would be fine with older children. She is housetrained and does well on a leash.

Story
Location: Elk River, MN My name is Tundra and I am your classic sassy mouthed Malamute! I am too busy loving life to pay attention to one thing for very long, I know how to sit but I feel a type of way about it and tell you without any hesitation. I love to play with anything; people, dogs, toys and really anything that fits in my mouth. I am not even a year old so I am this big ball of fluff and sass with a healthy hearty dose of energy. I do okay on a leash but I can definitely learn to do better with it! The people at Dakotah's Doggy Daycare have been trying to work with me during the time they have during the day, they tell me I am a smart and handsome boy and they love me! I am easily excited over smaller animals, cats and small dogs so a home without them would be best for me! --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).
